Saco Bound Canoe & Kayak

We have come to Saco Bound on a number occasions and always enjoyed it. This year, due to the higher water levels, was without a doubt our favorite experience. Our only "complaint," the higher water levels mean faster water, so our 4 hour trip ended in 3 hours. We recommend taking the longest trip offering, when the water levels are high! We'll be back. Everyone working was so knowledgeable. I have young kids so was extra cautious, but we had a blast! Connected 5 people and a cooler. Had fun on the beaches and made it easily to our get out point. So much fun, can’t wait to go again!(bring sunscreen!)

We had an amazing time. Despite it being wonderful, the downside was lack of tubes for the 1-4 launch. The group previous to us was agitated by the lack of full tubes and made it well known. It was difficult to not let their frustration and disappointment infiltrate our feelings and experience. We stayed patient and chose some that were flat on the ground to be inflated by the hand held leaf blower and headed down river. My tube and one other leaked air. It was like barely floating, in a taco. It makes for a good story.

Our very first time tubing on the Saco. I can't believe we have never done it before. We had a wonderful, relaxing experience. Due to the recent rains, the river was faster than normal - so it went a little faster than I would have liked. I wish we could have gone twice. I am really looking forward to adding this to our annual summer activities. I would highly recommend.

I've been there a few times now by myself, and with a group from work and I have had the same excellent experience each time I went. Last time I went was on 5/18 and I was called by the home office to discuss the river conditions. We were informed on the status of the river, and what we should expect out there. The gentleman in the office was friendly, accommodating, and thoroughly explained the trip. They had to problem adjusting things so we could do the full trip instead of just the half.

I appreciate the shuttle service from the ending point back to the starting point, and the driver was professional and a safe driver. They also helped us into the kayaks, and bring sure we got out OK.

The continued excellent service and experience is what I continue to visit, and encourage others to come here. Thanks again!

My girlfriend and I have used this company twice now and both times were a great experience this place has been around since 72’ so they know what there doing by now staff is relaxed an chill just the kind of people you want working at a place near the Saco river because that’s exactly what you’ll be doing on the river relaxing and chilling they make it very obvious where to get out and take there shuttle bus back if it’s your first time and don’t know what your doing the staff will take the time to inform you on every possible question you could have but once you go once you’ll be back in no time and will know exactly what to do. Over all best Saco river tube rental place with no hassle and straight forward experience

We had an amazing time on the river. Weather forced us to change plans and do a different day but rebooking and refunds were as simple as possible. Great staff and great trip!!

Great experience. Used this company multiple times without any issues. They get you checked in and into the water quickly so you have more time to enjoy on the river and picks you up promptly afterwards. Staff is pleasant and equipment is in good shape.

Went to Saco Bound as part of my bachelorette weekend and we had a BLAST. the 3 hour trips were all booked, so we went with the 2 hour Paradise Island float, which was so relaxing and fun. When we went to pick up our tubes, the men in charge of the tubes offered us advice about which tubes would be better suited for the current conditions we initially though we wanted open bottom, but after discussing, he let us switch to closed bottom because of the low water levels! I am so glad he told us otherwise we would've been very sandy by the end of that trip! The stretch of the river we were on was just gorgeous - will definitely come back next year!

Friendly and knowledgeable. The kayaks we used were new. Other customers we saw came back to tube again since they liked it, it made us feel we made a good decision.

Our trip was fantastic! Staff, amenities and transportation was excellent. With all the rain we have had we were not able to do the Redstone run. We did the Weston run and it perfect! Highly recommend.

We did a 2 day trip. They let you bring your own canoe (not sure how common this is). The trip I booked was changed for safety due to obstacles below the Walker bridge. I would recommend using them if only for insight into river conditions. The guy who picked us up at the put out was friendly and helped us load our gear.

Water was really high so there was really no stopping and swimming but we had fun. Did the three hour trip in 1.5 hours. Beautiful day and so much fun but would recommend waiting until the water goes down a bit.
The boys that run the shuttles and hand out tubes were amazing. So much fun and very accommodating.

Excellent experience and friendly staff. My dog made good use of the cooler float. I’d recommend getting an extra cooler float if you want to bring your pup!!

We did the 10-mile canoe trip to Saco Bound's private take-out at The Landing. We met up at their headquarters and followed their driver to the take-out where we left our car. Then they drove us back to the put-in. The river was really pretty, especially with fall foliage, with very little development viewable from the river. The portage around Swan Falls is wide with just a few feet of elevation and was doable. The river was quite low with only a few inches of water in a few places, but we never got stuck. I'd recommend the trip!

We had an amazing time kayaking down the Saco River! This was our second time using this company and we ended up doing it twice this past week since we enjoyed it so much. The employees are friendly and very helpful. We even got a call to check in on us and make sure they knew where we were on the River so they could pick us up on time. Thanks so much!
