Friendly staff large selection of food. Big portions. We went there around noon and was still decently busy for a snowy day. But had open tables. Maria was a awesome server. Very inventive check on us a decent number of time. Refilled drinks when they were 1/2 full. Love checking out local restaurants instead of chains. Was very pleased with our visit. I had the omelet and my boyfriend had the Turkey avocado sandwich and a cup of soup. We both left full. Would definitely come back when we are in town again

The food was delicious, my waitress could’ve been a little nicer but other than that I’ll definitely be back to this place. I went at 8:30am on a Wednesday, it was moderately busy (less than half full) but my food came out as if I was the only person there. My pancakes were barely hot enough to melt the butter but the pancakes soaked the syrup up perfectly(so good). I’ve drove past this place too many times NOT to have known they in there cooking all that deliciousness that my taste buds crave.

I had an excellent first experience at Capitol Cafe. The hostess & servers were all very friendly & accommodating. I received my breakfast promptly & it was delicious! Just simple eggs, bacon, sausage & pancakes done right- I’ll be back again soon!

Out with the old menu, in with the new menu!!! You have got to try this place! I had the southwest crepes, and they were amazing! Can't wait to go back and try other new items.

An "old school" diner experience, a place where you can enjoy very tasty meals. You will not leave hungry the portions are very generous. The wait staff is exceptional, awesome service and good conversation. Ms Malita is outstanding in her efforts to assure that your visit is a pleasant one ! If you're in or traveling thru ,Brookfield take time to drop in Capitol Cafe. 2 thumbs up for the wait staff, kitchen and hostess !

This was my first time here and I will absolutely be back. The Staff was friendly and what I ordered was Delicious.

Everything was great. We had a large group, and the accommodations and staff were attentive, Parking was good as well as being kid friendly.

In 1979 I worked at this address. The restaurant was called KARTERS owned by Peter Carter and his family in the basement. There was another restaurant called the half pound pub where I cooked at the broiler station as the head broiler cook For around 10 years off and on Karters also launched my management career in the restaurant business ending up as a general manager for McDonald’s. All my thanks go out to the Karters family, especially Peter and his wife Mary.

We haven't been to this Restaurant in years. We were planning on trying a new breakfast place but it was a long wait. This place is old school and perfect. Our waitress, Kathy was very attentive and they are quick to refill your coffee! We had omelettes and they were amazing!

The best veggie omelette. Excellent hash browns. Generous servings.

Has some of the best breakfast foods. Service is quick. Most of the waiters offer quality service. The owner is very pleasant. It's very family oriented.
