Pratt Smith House Bed Breakfast

We enjoyed a lovely weekend at the Pratt Smith house. Ann and Alan were wonderful hosts. Their historic home was full of antiques, needlework, interesting books and even a research paper about Pratt Smith who built the house and ran the farm.
Ann is an exceptional baker and we enjoyed the tiramisu brownies she left in our room.
Each morning we were treated to coffee, fresh fruit, muffins or pound cake along with a warm egg dish. Everything was delicious and served attractively on the prettiest china.
Our meal was made complete by engaging conversation with our hosts.
We highly recommend the Pratt Smith house as a great place for a relaxing retreat if you are ever in Utica.

My first time in a b&b and it was an unforgettable experience. The interiors, vintage looks of the room and house overall is just amazing. Room was very comfortable and clean. They serve breakfast from 7:30- 9:00 am, they ask you what time you'd prefer it and its prepared and setup at the same time you tell them you want it, the breakfast was very filling and delicious, Anne is a really great cook. The best things about the house are the hosts, Anne and Alan are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel like a family member instead of a guest. The warm hospitality, comfortable rooms and satisfying breakfast make it a perfect place if you're a traveller and looking for a reasonably priced accomodation. 10/10 would recommend.

The Pratt Smith House Bed & Breakfast is a fantastic getaway. The house is lovely, the food is great, and the entire house feels like home. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I will always book here whenever I'm in Utica.

Last weekend was our second time staying at this B&B with friends. Ann and Alan were most gracious and the accommodations were unique and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and varied. We were able to engage our hosts in conversation and learn more about the area, the history of the house, and our hosts. We just used the facility as a base of operations for events we attended, but one could spend eons there, reading the many books that were available. A museum, a bed, and breakfast, all for one price.

Lovely owners, delicious breakfast, beautiful house. What's not to love?

At late of hour we did call. Lost in a snowstorm we did fall. Yet hark they answer "come over come in" and so we hid. Iceman's wrath do buffet, the shutters of this little house much rebuff it! Warm and welcoming we did stay, at the Pratt smith house we would say!

Wow! This place is amazing. 200+ year old house. Very warm and welcoming. The couple that own and operate it are very nice. If you're looking for a nice, quiet place to stay, this is it. Breakfast was great as well!

I was absolutely enchanted by this incredible place. The owners are so welcoming and the food was spectacular. The collections of wonderful items, what a sight to behold. Thank you for keeping the history of this amazing house and property alive.

Very welcoming couple with a cozy house and rooms. They were very accommodating with regards to the breakfast time (we had to leave quite early and got breakfast at 7:30). Since this information is less easily available, they charge $75 for a night, only cash or personal check.

Quiet lovely B&B. Hosts were very welcoming but not over the top. Home has a lot of history. Well priced for a stay.

What a wonderful couple, running this lovely bed and breakfast. The decor was lovely and quaint. And the breakfast was delicious and presented in an amazing fashion. I can’t wait to go back!

The food was wonderful, but the chocolate banana breads was beyond devine. Totally enjoyed it!
