J&S Watkins Desserts

We have been JSWatkins customers for over 12 years now and their cakes, cheesecakes and Pies are always delicious. This particular review is a shout out to their design team, who has astounded us with their creativity and the pure joy they have brought to my family over the past decade. I have walked in a few times now mentioning keywords and they have delivered each time. Adding a few pictures of recent birthday cakes they've baked for us. The patches are where I clumsily tried to blur out kid names.

Absolutely delicious! We got the black satin cake to celebrate and it was incredible. It was so moist, rich, and decadent without being overwhelming or too sweet. A member of my party has a severe tree nut allergy and they made sure to accommodate him. Wonderful service and amazing cake

My first experience with this bakery and you did not disappoint. I ordered a cheeseburger cake. There was an upcharge because of the work that goes into it, but that makes total sense. I fully appreciate that time = money. Everyone at the party was impressed at how perfect the cake looked, and they were even more impressed by how delicious it was. Thank you! We will be back.

I ordered this spooky cake for my birthday and it turned out beautiful! I asked the artist/decorator to replicate a design I found online but in black and white, which she was able to do perfectly. The cake itself also tasted amazing! Highly recommend this bakery, especially for custom cakes!

I've had cupcakes, mini cheesecake, and most recently a full 6inch cake from here and all are delicious. The chocolate cupcakes especially are rich and chocolatey. The frosting on the full cake was exquisite, melting in your mouth and not too sweet. The staff is friendly and accommodating and made my daughter's birthday cake with 6 days notice. The frosting work was very neat and delicate and the writing was so beautiful! the raspberry filling in the chocolate cake tasted of fresh berries and wasnt lost in the richness of the chocolate. 10/10 experience. you are paying for quality here.

I trusted J&S Watkins and told them what I wanted for my Reception party cake without tasting their cakes and cupcakes. The cake turned out to be excellent, the layering of the cake with different flavours the way I requested was perfect. They did what they promised. Thank you for making my memorable day more sweeter.

We ordered a custom cake for a birthday party and it not only looked fantastic but tasted delicious as well! I spoke with both Sue and Dana to develop the cake and they did a great job making my vision come to life. Incredibly impressed by what they created!

We wanted to find a new bakery around Clifton Park since the people at our old bakery (D&B) we're always so rude to customers & this place did not disappoint! We stopped in for some samples, got two cupcakes (Lemon Sugar Cookie and Carrot Cake), both were amazing and some small pies that were gone before I thought to take a picture. Also, the women behind the counter was so pleasant and friendly! This will be our go to bakery going forward!

J&S Watkins makes the very best Carrot Cake in the Northeast. I have tried carrot cake at many different restaurants from New York to Maine and theirs is by far the best tasting, moistest, most flavorful carrot cake I have had.

I can’t say enough about Susan the owner and her staff! They are so personable and they definitely go the extra mile to get you exactly what you want. The owner even hand delivered my cake due to a circumstance that had come up. But that’s really just the “icing on the cake” (pun intended). Their cakes are absolutely amazing!!! I’ve gone to a lot of bakeries for birthdays and events and their cakes are out of this world delicious! I definitely recommend this place, hands down!

The lemon cupcake was outstanding; it was moist and had the right amount of decadent frosting. The owner was very friendly; we will definitely be back!

Its been great to see how this company as grown over years. I still rember that old blue building where I had to go in the back of the building to get my cake and now the whole plaza is named after them.

My whole family loves their strawberry cake and they don't want to change it and get the same cake for every event. I have liked cookies and cream in the past and this time for my sons 10th birthday, it's cookies and cream!!

I stopped in to see about ordering an assortment of nice cupcakes for a birthday celebration for my wife. The sales clerk was extremely helpful, suggesting including a piece of flat chocolate to write happy birthday on with icing, that only cost one extra dollar! The pricing was very reasonable. When I came to pick them up today, one of the owners was working the counter. This is a small family business and you can tell that they take extreme pride in their work. To be completely honest, I haven't even tasted them yet, but I am sure they will measure up with the rest of my experience.

Ordered a carrot cake from here very recently and it was phenomenal. One of the best cakes I’ve ever tasted! I read a lot of reviews on here about this bakery before deciding on it and their food certainly lives up to the praise! I will definitely be ordering again in the future and am excited to try their other baked goods. The people who work here are friendly and clearly have passion for this bakery, which is a definite plus as well. All in all, a very good experience and I’ll recommend J&S Watkins Desserts to anyone looking for quality baked goods.

J&S Watkins did our wedding cake in June 2019 and it was amazing as was delicious! Everyone loved the cake as well, it was so rich in flavor. We just ordered a "mini" version of our wedding cake for our 1st wedding anniversary coming up, and they did superb on that as well. Such nice folks who run the bakery too! Will always come here in the future for any other special occasion desserts, etc. Thank you!!

Always delicious desserts, and very helpful staff willing to tell you all about their many different flavors. Stopped in today and made a variety box with two different kinds of cake and two different kinds of cheesecake. Perfect for the indecisive sweet tooth!

Just let me start off by saying this,nobody,or any place, makes a chocolate mousse cake comparable to the one you can purchase at J&S Watkins,in my opinion. Now,that's just the tip of the iceberg.The physical plant is spotless,customer service is top notch,and they do their best to please and help you. I had the opportunity to purchase their chocolate chip cookies,and assorted cupcakes..immediate addiction😁..my out of town guest had the same experience. Needless to say,I will be making my way there to shop again.By the way J&S Watkins owns that entire strip plaza, which is a good sign of a well run business establishment.

J&S Watkins did our wedding cake. The planning process was a little different due to pandemic protocols, but none the less, our cake was everything we wanted it to be. It was delicious, beautiful, and worry free. We gave very vague instructions for decoration, as neither of us had strong feelings about the look, and the design was exactly what we wanted- simple, elegant, and a nod to my Dutch heritage.
