Momoyama Sushi House

i liked it very much. the taste is fresh on the sushi, bento is fine, the udon soup was very tasteful, kids meal serves its purpose. i do think the deluxe sushi for 2 should offer maybe 3 more sashimi pieces and the regular deluxe for 1, maybe 2 more sashimi pieces.

Love this place! My go-to sushi restaurant, even though it’s a half hour drive!

Service is super friendly, and the food is always delicious. The sushi is fresh and flavorful. I also strongly recommend the tofu teriyaki—it’s very lightly fried and the sauce is excellent!

If you like banana, be sure to get the Monkey Roll (fried banana sushi) or Jungle Roll (same thing, but topped with spicy tuna)

I wish I could this place more stars. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and took very good care of us. Definitely try the fried oysters!! The kids loved the chicken tempura

Salmon Bento box is amazing.
Veggie gyozas equally as incredible, nice and crunchy.
Do yourself a favor and order the Godzilla special roll. Thank me later 🙏🏾

This is the Japanese restaurant owned by Koreans and I love it! They had Korean bbq bulgogi menu as well! It's not easy to find Korean food up here and its a treat.
We moved to Nanuet from NYC, had dynamic experiences with sushi restaurants.
I always missed our favorite Japanese owned restaurant in Queens with their special roll but I'm soooo excited that I now found a go-to place whenever I'm craving for good sushi rolls! Taste, texture, saltiness, presentation- everything was just perfect. Waitress was perfect.
Atmosphere was decent, I felt that it was cleaner and more closer to authentic look than any other restaurants in the area.
We spent very pleasant Vday Dinner here.

My recent visit to Momoyama Sushi House in Nyack was a tale of contrasts that left me with mixed feelings. From the outside, the restaurant doesn't make a strong impression - its exterior is quite unassuming and doesn't do justice to what awaits inside. Stepping in, I was pleasantly surprised by the clean, tasteful decor that creates a welcoming and authentic Japanese ambiance.

The culinary experience was the highlight of my visit. The sushi at Momoyama is simply exceptional, arguably the best I've had since my trip to Japan. Each piece was a testament to the chef's expertise, with the perfect balance of flavors and textures. The freshness of the ingredients shone through, making each bite a delightful experience.

However, the service aspect did slightly mar our evening. Our server, though efficient for the most part, seemed a bit testy towards the end of her shift. We felt a bit rushed as she hustled us out a little before the official closing time, which detracted from the otherwise pleasant experience.

In summary, while the service could use a bit of fine-tuning, the quality of the sushi at Momoyama Sushi House is undeniably top-notch. If you're a sushi aficionado in Nyack, don't let the exterior deter you – the culinary delights inside are well worth a visit. 🍣🌟

We always get their spicy salmon crunch roll, sweet potato roll and shrimp tempura roll. For appetizers, we get the gyoza 👍🏽 Very quaint spot. Atmosphere is chill and decor is nice. One of my favorite local sushi spots.

Delicious food. I've gone here a few times and it's always delicious. Parking is free. The restaurant is very authentic. Try the fried ice cream! So good! Highly recommend it.

I've been coming here for 6 years. My whole family loves it here. High quality, delicious sushi. It's clean. The music is nice, not pushy and never too loud, so you can really enjoy whoever you came with. I feel confident and comfortable bringing people on a work track here as well, since the quality of food and service has been consistant, I know they will never disappoint. Their service and excellence makes me look good:) It's family owned and, to me, has always been a pleasure filled, delicious, balanced and harmonious environment.

LOVE this local sushi spot. The sushi is always so fresh. My husband and I love their spicy salmon roll in particular. We frequently do takeout from Momoyama during M-S lunches since their lunch special is on during that time.

Highly recommend to call in advance. They're quite busy with pickup and takeout orders. I generally give them a minimum 20m lead time before I go t pick up my order.

This is the finest Japanese restaurant in the entire area. We have been fans since the beginning because the quality never changes and the prices are reasonable. The variety and service are tremendous. I hope Momoyama Sushi House continues to provide wonderful Japanese food for years to come.

I pass by this place all the time. Tried it tonight with my boyfriend & it was AMAZING. I’m new to Rockland but have tried a few sushi places. This is the best hands down. I got a roll with scallops & mushrooms & I was in awe. I had to thank the chefs, and our waitress was a sweet Spanish (assume) woman !! Going back very soon.

Very good sushi- specialty rolls are massive and delicious and fresh. Regular rolls are also very good. I would definitely make this a destination.

Very pleased with service. Sushi was very fresh. Many sushi establishments tend to skimp on chefs selection and give you paper thin slices of the typical tuna, salmon, flounder. Momoyama gives you thick slices and a much more varied selection when you order a sushi deluxe. I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again.

Popped in for dinner. Everything was fresh and so flavorful. Great tastes and textures. Perfect rice and the tempura shrimp in the roll was still hot and crisp.

I love this place. I come here often with my friends and the food is great! The staff are friendly and provide quick service. The takeout is just as good too! There is a great atmosphere inside while you eat and watch the sushi chef prepare your meal. I love eating here, there are so many options so my friends and I are never bored. One of the best restaurants in Nanuet!
