Mac's Drive-In

First road trip of the season. We started with lunch here yesterday—Sunday—and were not disappointed. Nice retro look and atmosphere; service with a smile; fast service; tasty food; low prices, which were welcome during these Brandon Times. Speaking of Brandon Times: the only problem we had with the place was the restrooms: not their cleanliness or accessibility but the “All Gender” signs on the doors. Were they expecting Dylan Mulvaney?

Nostalgic! Delicious food at a great price, served with a friendly smile! Choose from Car hop, Counter or Table service, you can't go wrong! Owners are hands-on, keeping the staff moving and the conversations light! Go, eat, enjoy, laugh, then put on repeat!

I have been wanted to try this place for so many years and I finally got a chance to with my daughter. The whole experience was amazing the prices are so reasonable. Make sure you have cash because it is a cash only place but they do have a atm on the property. I got a rootbeer milkshake my daughter got a lemonade I also tried the sausage sandwich with peppers and onions. And my daughter had a plain burger and fries. I will definitely go back. I recommend this place 100 percent.

I finally got to stop here cause we’re not rushing through this time around. I think we ordered almost everything on the menu! The prices are incredibly reasonable. Richardson root beer is the best, smoothest in the world. Soft ice cream is high quality because they know minimum fat content needed.

Nostalgic Drive In slinging classic American fare such as burgers, fries, and shakes. I ordered a cheeseburger, potato salad, and a malted chocolate shake at the counter. Everything was delicious. The way that they take and cook orders was odd to me. (servers having to cook their own orders instead of a dedicated grill/fry cook) but nonetheless the food came out hot.

Pretty darn tasty food! I make routine trips to the VW shop nearby, was with family and finally tried this place out. Great price for everyone, delicious genuine food (fries are not like McDonalds...in a good way!)

This place emotes hometown spirit. Local owned and operated, Mac's owner takes great consideration in maintaining the experience expected of his patrons year after year. Locally sourced beef and Richardson's root beer are a couple of hallmarks. Carhop service (sorry no roller skates) or indoor dining are available. Weekly classic car nights and the continuous sounds of "oldies" make it a throwback to an era seemingly forgotten. Don't be afraid to order a pizza and leave room for some soft serve ice cream!!!

Love what this place for what it is! An old burger stop with car side service or indoor seats as well as picnic tables front and rear for sunny days!
Inexpensive menu with all the basics covered from dbl cheese burger to chicken and fish sandwiches. Great root beer and PBR in frosted mugs!

Being from a small town in the midwest, this was an absolute ode to my younger days. The food was good, the people were friendly and such a nostolgic nod to the past.

What a pleasurable experience hidden on route 20. We stopped on a whim. Saw the menu that is simple yet satisfying, not too mention do you see the prices? Like its frozen in time?!
All the staff are young kids and service was fast and friendly. Such a retro vibe we loved it. It's set up like a sonic is with a car hop on the outside as well.
Social distancing and cleaning were maintained well.
5⭐ in my book.

This place was amazing and a step back from the future. The waitresses hustle and the food is outstanding. The waitresses are also very personable and the prices here are hard to beat.

Love love love this place! I wish it was open year round. They have done a good job at not increasing their prices throughout the years. This is cheaper than a fast food place and much better!

What a great experience. The burgers are awesome, the service was fast and the wait staff was courteous. This is a true drive in. Cash only but, inexpensive. Fries are good and so are the onion rings. This place is dog friendly as the wait staff provided water for our pup. The root beer is delicious too.

The food is so delicious and cooked very well. I give it a 10 out of 10 the food is so good.

First timers today. We heard a lot about this place and it didn't disappoint. Great outdoor atmosphere, great food and friendly service. We'll definitely go again.

Absolutely an amazing little back in time place, food was amazing and their malts are to die for!!! Absolutely awesome place!!!

A icy cold mug of root beer along with a cheese burger, fries will make you feel nostalgic anytime. But at Mac's anything on the menu is good. And the service - friendly and welcoming. Make it a part of your summer vacation. And if you traveling through, stop and have yourself an enjoyable time. Include Mac's in your Labor Day weekend.

I’ve been there 5 times now. All good experiences. The only things I can say that I didn’t like are quite minor. When I ordered the chicken in a basket the fried chicken tasted like fish. I’m assuming it’s because they fry the fish and chicken in the same oil. I’d recommend eating at one of the tables because I’ve received better service there. The burgers, grilled chicken sandwich, coleslaw, and fries are really good. I’ve always disliked the taste of root beer...that is until I tried Mac’s. It’s sooooo good!! I always look forward to it reopening every spring! Make sure to bring cash!

Excellent food..Excellent service...just what I needed for a date with my wife!!
