The Whistling Kettle

Came here with my husband for lunch while visiting the area. Enjoyed the afternoon tea special. I liked that the menu gave full portions and a nice variety of items. Loved how they presented everything on the tiered plates. I tried the turkey brie crepe, house salad, and berry scone. Everything tasted delicious. The server was nice and helpful. Overall would definitely come back again!

Really nice setting with old brick walls...cozy booths...very warm and inviting. Amazing variety of teas ( and coffees) including draft ice tea, hot tea, tea lattes, tea specials and custom brews. Soups were delicious as were the savory crepes. Salads crisp and tasty. Good place to visit with friends. Also enormous selection of teas and tea accaccessories for sale...many options!

What a great place for lunch! Me and my wife were in Ballston Spa and wanted to try out this cool location. The atmosphere was a very cozy with a hint of hipster vibes. The waiter was absolutely fantastic and gave us knowledge on the process of tea. The meal itself was excellent. Love the idea of the different tiers of food. The lobster bisque was on point and the sandwich hit the spot. On the way out the have a very small gift shop kind of set up, and picked up teas for home and gifts for friends. My only complaint is the honey that is given to sweeten the tea. They gave Kraft brand honey packets. That honey is very low quality for the tea they give. If Into teas or just great sandwich style of meals, definitely check out “The Whistling Kettle” in Ballston Spa.

Love this place! Beautiful atmosphere (indoor dining, outdoor dining in season), delicious food- amazing crepes and desserts. I love the afternoon tea lunch aspect. Beautiful presentation! Staff is friendly and attentive! And if you are inspired to buy a Tshirt they are the softest most comfortable shirt you will ever wear! Again, I love this place!

I cannot say enough good things about this place! The staff was super friendly, especially our server, Leslie. We had a wine slushy followed by two wine flights, yes two, for the two of us. Be warned that you get more than one cup per pot! Definitely try the ginger blueberry if you like ginger, that was my favorite! The scone I ordered was scrumptious as well, served with cream and preserves.

The Whistling Kettle was recommended by a coworker, and for good reason. The food is delicious, and most items on the menu can be gluten free (crepes, sandwiches, etc.) My earl gray tea was good, and I'm told the matcha was done right. My sandwich and carrot cake were delicious.

All I can say is WOW. I was not expecting what we got. The teas were fantastic 😍. Full of flavor and aroma. A quaint and quiet setting. The food was fabulous. We walked out with the memory of a great dining experience. We had gone just for tea but after looking over the menu it sounded too good to pass up and it was. The food was fresh and the flavor combinations were superb. We will stop again when we are in the area.

Wow what a gem to find in Ballston Spa! The Whistling Kettle food was fresh and delicious! I enjoyed lunch here. My waitress was very attentive and friendly. My sandwich was filling and the cake was amazing. What I loved most about this restaurant was their outdoor dining area…and the food of course.

This is one of my favorite restaurants when I'm visiting the Ballston Spa/Saratoga Springs area. So it was a no-brainer when my daughter asked me where I wanted to go for this year for Mother's Day while visiting her and her family.

The food is delicious, fresh and dependable. This time I ordered the Afternoon Tea which is served on a 3-tier stand and includes your choice of a 3 different items from the menu: a sandwich, panini, quiche or salad plus a scrumptious scone or tea bread served with cream and preserves at $16. I enjoyed the curry chicken club, house salad and berry scone (see photos). My spouse ordered the eggplant panini, lobster bisque and berry scone as well. You can't go wrong with this!

As its name implies, the Whistling Kettle is also a great place for teas...and they have a huge selection in store and online. I ordered some delicious teas this winter and have enjoyed them all. Some recommendations are the Scottish Caramel Pu-erh, Maple Taffy Black Tea, Carrot Cake Rooibos and the Blend 1776.

The staff is very friendly and professional and go out of their way to please. It's also a great place for small groups. I've hosted two baby "sprinkles" here and as always the food and service was excellent. They don't require reservations but ask that you call 15 minutes before you plan to arrive for seating requests. It's a good idea that you do this as they get really busy during holidays, like Mother's Day.

Can't wait to return to the Whistling Kettle when I'm back in the area.

I had the ham and Brie panini with the lobster bisque. My better half had the ratatouille panini with the chicken and beans soup. Both meals were delicious. Next came the scone with cream and mixed berries very nice, along with fresh pressed decaf coffee. Sorry scone went fast and I failed to photograph it. Great meal and service.

I have been ordering online for years, so great to finally stop at one of the locations. Enjoyed lunch with a purple Papaya iced tea outside on the veranda. The store is awesome and the service was even better!!

Place is always packed for a reason! The tea is exceptional and I haven't had a bad dish here yet. Highly recommend!

Food tastes great but is a little pricey.  From the outside looks like a small place but it's actually spacious and they also have a patio open. Good customer service.  Drinks are delicious, (I recommend the cookie doodle if you like coffee)I'll definitely come back again. ^_^

Stopped in for some sandwiches and tea! The food was great and good atmosphere to just have a conversation with any guests in your party.

First time here today and I was not disappointed. I had a tea flights and was pleasentely suprisd to discover you receive four whole teapots not just four cups of tea. The food was also amazing I ordered the afternoon tea with the quiche special, house salad and a sweet crape. All if it was deliscious and the servings were generous. The pricing is reasonable and I will definitely be going back!

When you are in Ballston Spa you need to check out this place. They serve some very unique dishes. They have something for everyone.

The whistling Kettle is a very acquaint and bustling place. They have very good food very good service and if you like tea you're going to think you died and went to heaven. Highly recommend

This place is a true gem. The service is EXCELLENT, attentive and pleasant. The menu is loaded with delicious choices and everything is made with care. The lobster bisque should not be missed and if you are a tea lover you will feel like you went to heaven! Highly recommend giving them a visit …you won’t be disappointed 😋
