I found the staff/owner very friendly very helpful very patient. Obviously knew the wines and helped us make some nice selections that were fairly priced. Will definitely be back.

Such a great spot! The owner, Jess, is so well informed and passionate about her products! I’ve never gotten a recommendation I didn’t appreciate and love how she really hears what you’re looking for as you describe your likes. She is also so incredibly considerate and goes out of her way to make sure all her customers feel safe!

LOVE THIS PLACE! Great selection, unique finds you can’t get anywhere else, and an incredibly knowledgeable and friendly owner make this a must go. The owner is amazing and she has introduced us to great wines and spirits that are perfect for sharing with family and friends.

COVID update: EXCELLENT safety protocols. I so appreciate that I never have to be concerned about crowding + the owner does everything for you, helping to pick out and pick up exactly what you need so there's as limited contact with surfaces as possible. It has the bonus effect of feeling like a personalized, boutique shopping experience (even more than it already did, which is saying something!) ;-)

I was so pleased to walk into Sage a few years ago to be warmly welcomed by its proprietor with a gin tasting. Each time I have visited since then, I have been delighted to find new and interesting wines and spirits, all accompanied by information on the tasting notes and winery/distillery information. It is a rare enough thing to find a wine and spirits shop with a highly knowledgeable owner. To find one whose owner also cares deeply about their customers beyond the numbers is a gift.

I live several hours from Sage, and I can’t visit often. However, when I or friends are nearby, we make a point to stop. Since the pandemic, the owner’s care for all their customers has made me feel safe enough to shop there from a distance, for which I am grateful.

Great store! The owner is always there to help and is very very knowledgeable! You can walk in with just an idea of what you might like and she can take you the rest of the way. I've never been led astray by her recommendations!

You will find items in this store that you won't see anywhere else. A great place to find something new for yourself or as a gift! We always stop by to pick up a few things before traveling to see friends or family.

I have always had a wonderful experience with Jess (the owner) at Sage Wine & Spirits! She KNOWS her stuff! I go in, explain what I like (and don't like), and she finds me a bottle at my price range. Also, I am very interested in organic wine and Sage has A TON of options for those looking for organic & sustainable wines. I highly recommend this business to anyone in the area or passing through!

2022 edit: I live in MA now. I was at a liquor store out here looking for good red wine, couldn't really figure out what I was looking for. I called Jess at Sage Wine & Spirits and she made me two excellent recommendations.
She's helping me find great wine and I don't even live in the state. Best service I've gotten living in four different zip codes.

One of the many woman-owned small business gems in our village. Jes always makes great recommendations and carries a thoughtful variety of products. Not your average liquor store—and that's a good thing.

Best wine & spirit shop in the 518!! The owner is great and super knowledgeable about everything they carry! We got recommendations on everything from wine to tequila and it was all 10/10. Really can’t go wrong in here. Highly recommend!

Stopped in on our way though town- just needed a quick bottle while we waited for food next door. Shop was adorable- well laid out, great selection and the lady that helped me ( owner??) was super helpful!

Jess has such a wonderfully curated selection of craft spirits and wines it is remarkable. Glad to have such a quality establishment so close to work! Very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very craftsman-chic decor. Love it.

Sage is my go to stop for wine. I know that any time I go there, I am guaranteed to find a wine that I enjoy. Jes, the owner, is able to consistently help me find a wine to meet my needs whether that be a wine for “a teacher who is just ready to live her best life” or for when I want “a wine that is kind of like a circus for my mouth.” (As you can tell, I have a refined wine palette.) Even with those bizarre requests, Jes has come through. How does she do it? Probably witchcraft.

I also like that Jes tastes all her wines before she sells them to ensure they meet her standards. Then I know I am not getting swill.

During Covid, she ensured protocols that kept customers safe, and she still does, which is appreciated.
