Amazing bakery with an unforgettable smell since you park your car outside. So many nice desserts and the bakery area in the back is such a nice experience you get to pick your own breads and you can see all the manufacturing going on. All very fresh and the ones I got tasted like heaven.

Pastries are always welcome and a favorite at holidays. Bread is best in state.
Will try the Strawberry short cake next time told only - $23.00, person next to us was buying one, we had to much already.
Cookie prices are very expensive - probably won't order cookies again.

Doesn’t get fresher than this - the bagels come straight off the belt and into your bag! Love stopping in here for the best bagels and breads around. The “serve yourself” setup is very cool and unique; really makes visiting the bakery an experience.

Heaven of natural bagels. Stars can not describe how surprised I was almost failing to grab the hot bagels. The bakery just amazingly combined with final sections of the facility. No one can leave without handful two huge bags.

I grew up with my grandparents visiting every Sun from the Bronx, and they always picked up bagels from Rockland Bakery on their way up. Still one of the best bakeries around. Excellent sanitary system with electric contactless entry and exit doors and a glove station that fills these plastic gloves up with air so you can slide your hands right in without touching anything. The place is huge inside, where you get to go past the front dessert counters and the deli counter to the back factory where the bread products are actually being made and coming out on conveyor belts. You can choose and bag your own items - bagels, breads, pretzels, etc. and pay for them at the counter on the way out. The dessert selection is massive - cookies, cannolis, cakes, mini cakes, you name it. Everything is presented well, packaged well, and they do a great job moving the lines along quickly. Everyone around here knows Rockland Bakery for a reason!

One of the more unique bakeries I have ever been to. This place is an operation! They have everything with the show to go with it. The bagels come out on a conveyor belt! Awesome place. If there is something you are craving they will have it. The oreo cookie was delicous. The crumb cake was great. I wonder how fast they go through everything but it did look busy. The bread also came out hot and fresh. Would highly recommend checking out!

Though I have heard about Rockland bakery a lot and also tasted their baked goodies, this was the first time I visited - I couldn’t believe I can walk next to the oven and pick up the freshly baked bagels - for the freshest bagel the price is very reasonable and not to forget yummiest baked desserts.

The food is delicious! However, the setup can be a little confusing to people who have never been there before. You basically enter and walk to the left where they have plastic gloves for you to grab what you want. When you walk a little further where the bread is, you will see paper bags on your left for you to place your items in. I love how you can grab freshly made bagels off of the conveyer belt. They are the best! The only thing I would add if I were them, are signs on their desserts. They all look so delicious, but it can get a little confusing and frustrating for the customer and worker when you keep asking what things are and it definitely holds up the line. Other than that, I love this place and it is very reasonably priced.

John at Music Merchants in Westwood happened to tell me that he loved fresh rye bread from Rockland Bakery. John is a friend who’s record store just went out of business after over 40 years. I took a mental not to go to this bakery, although I’f never been and get my buddy a loaf of his favorite.

I drive across the state line, total 35 minutes and find parking. The parking lot is small but the folk are coming in and going out so even though it’s a maneuver, it’s not a pain.

I go inside and see the bounty of fresh baked treats. Lovely. It’s clean in there and the service was prompt. It also smells heavenly, in there. I walked to the back and was instructed to out if fresh gloves so I could pick my own breads and they also had paper bags to put them in. There were racks and shelves of the most wonderful assortment if bread and to my right, fresh bagels were coming down a conveyer (I guess) to be readily selected, fresh out of the oven. I wish I’d brought a few friends with me. Next time.

I happily collected my items and went back up front to pay. The woman who helped me offered to slice my bread. Wow! That was so nice. Thank you. I paid and was out and back in Jersey in 18 minutes.

I took John his bread. He was surprised and happy. That was the best of it all but Rockland Bakery? YES, PLEASE!

Locally famous bakery with the highest quality products around! Everything is so fresh and the staff are so friendly. They are well organized when dealing with large waits for the holidays. The kaiser rolls are a breakfast staple in our household. I cannot say enough amazing things about this place!

These are the best bagels in Rockland County. You can get them hot off the press & I have even bought butter with me to put on them so I can eat in the car. I love their everything bagel. They have a nice selection of breads, I love the sourdough loaf. They even have pastries and cakes, the pound cake is really good and I don’t think I have bought one thing in here that I didn’t like.

Best bakery I've seen in the state. Freshest bread, there's a deli and amazing options for pastries, cakes and pies. There is limited parking and this is popular spot so I'd recommend coming earlier. The deli can be a little expensive, however the quality of everything is what drive people to come from an hour or further away for this place.

The best bakery, in my opinion, on the eat coast. Everything I visit family it is a must stop. There is nothing better than a hot bagel right out of the oven. There are also so many different breads to choose from it is incredible. The cookies and pastry portion are equally incredible. I have not tried their deli portion, but I will next visit

I am a regular customer even though this place is about an hour drive from where I live. Everything they have is fresh and top quality bread. It is definitely a fun and unique experience picking up your own hot bagels from conveyors or bread racks. Highly recommended for locals or anyone to have fun of rare experiences of purchasing breads.

Been coming here since I was a kid. Just took my wife and son here for the first time, it blew their mind that you can walk into the factory and pick out the bread. The Irish soda bread is our favorite, it’s the best.

I've been going here for 60 years. The atmosphere hasn't changed much, thankfully. You walk in and the first thing that hits you is the smell of fresh bread. Then you see the bagels sliding down from the oven. Put on a plastic glove and grab a piping hot bagel, put it in your bag. Then walk around racks and racks of fresh bread and rolls. Go up front and pick out delicious cookies and pastries.
Then take that fresh bagel to the deli counter and have them put a smear (cream cheese) on it. What an experience. Each time I go it brings back warm childhood memories. I now live an hour away and go as often as I can. I introduced my daughter to Rockland Bakery. Can't wait to bring my grandson there.

This place is truly an experience. It’s a no frills bakery that gives you access to fresh bread as it rolls off the line. I am not able to accurately describe just how cool this place is. The prices are amazing the bread and pastries are amazing and the efficiency of the operation in unbelievable. They also make my favorite sfogliatella in the area.

If you are driving by early in the morning you can smell the fresh baked goodness from this location and you have no other choice but to stop in and grab some delightful treats. Rockland Bakery has been providing the freshest, and I mean you can watch them making it, bread in Rockland. I don't know which one I enjoy more, watching the bread being made or eating it. Their Irish Soda Bread is a must. So fresh, fluffy and delicious. Make sure you grab some coffee as well. And if you feel you have consumed too much, there is a gym across the street to work it off and do it all over again. Enjoy everyone.
