Kipp Mountain trailhead

Moderate hike with steep inclines, so bring those hiking sticks!!
There's a resting platform about a quarter of the way from the top ( good spot to eat your food or take a rest)

* The only downfall to this hike is the final peak/end of trail, there isn't alot of room for more than 10 people to stand comfortably if there were multiple groups of people hiking that day, OTHERWISE!! It's 100% worth it !

This trail was harder for me to spot from the road, but once I saw it there was plenty of parking. The trail is well marked. It has a steep climb but is short. The views were beautiful and were my favorite of all the trails I went on in the Chester area. It is also part of the Chester Challenge. Complete 6 of 8 local hikes to collect a pin/patch.

Great easy hike for about 2/3 and then it gets a bit steep but worth it for the great view of Loon Lake and nearby mountain tops. Great view at all times if the year.

Absolutely gorgeous, and not very long to get to the top. A bit steep in places but it's worth it for the view.

You can't go wrong with Kipp. It's a worthy enough challenge that even the most un-athletic among us can muster the courage to reach the summit. If your kid is the adventurous type, they'll enjoy it too.

This is the definition of a well-balanced Adirondack hike, with a rewarding view at the top. Be mindful of the wind though, the gusts can get dangerous on a stormy day. Kipp is generously open to the public because of the great kindness of Mr. Beckman.
