We wondered where all the cars were - they are here!! A total of 36 at 2:30PM on a Friday. No surprise after coming here. They have a reservation option but fully accommodated walk-ins. Excellent, unique wines. Purchased a bottle of the 2021 Reisling, 2022 Rose and the 2021 Chardonnay and we are not white wine folks! Staff here were incredibly friendly and inviting despite how busy they were. Rachel was awesome! So many different places to sit and take it all in. If you go anywhere on your wine tour, you will not be disappointed if you stop here.

The parking lot was very full when we drove up, but we had reservations so it didn’t matter. We were seated right away. They do their tastings a little differently - you can request as few or many wines as you want, either a 2.5 oz or a 5 oz pour for yourself or to share. There is a charge for each pour based on the cost of the bottle. The wine server took our order and delivered our wines. Besides checking to see if we needed anything else a couple of times, he didn’t interact with us. No description of the wines or education about the vineyards - he just brought us wine to taste. The wines were very good - lots of Riesling and another half dozen varietals or so.

This place is fantastic! The wine is the best we’ve had in the finger lakes. Their a la carte tasting is perfect. Loved this so much, will gladly come back!

Spectacular wines and an amazing experience. Some of the best wines I’ve had anywhere, and I’m a huge fan of their biodynamic process of wine making. The space is beautiful and so relaxing. Nancy was our tasting guide - she was phenomenal! So knowledgeable and kind. Sit at one of her tables if you can.

Holy cow what a beautiful experience. It was pretty busy around lunchtime on a rainy Tuesday and even with a fuller tasting room, the service was still very thoughtful and they took a little time to chat and make us feel welcome. Wines are incredible.

Amazing! Every single wine (reds, whites, rosés, dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet) was perfection. The staff was also very friendly, helpful, and educational. The ambience was great, and if you’re a fan of Rieslings you MUST visit. The co-owners were out and speaking with guests—it’s clear they are invested in creating a great environment and wine tasting experience (in addition to crafting wonderful wines). If you don’t visit, you’ll be missing out.

Fantastic experience! We walked in without reservations, but would recommend making them just in case! We happened to be in the area and I am a huge fan of their biodynamic vineyard Riesling from 2018. They just happened to have it on the menu. The staff was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I even bought myself a little grapevine to take home!!

Had a wonderful tasting with Alex, who was lovely and incredibly knowledgeable. The place is gorgeous, inside and out. Huge selection of wine and each one we had was very yummy. There are also some tasty little snacks available and a cute vineyard cat. Each of my party went home with bottles. Highly recommend.

We went to Hermann J. Wiemer without reservations, and they were nice enough to accommodate us. The tasting was done in one of the rooms overlooking the vineyards. We were given an ample selection of wines to pick for our tasting, with no limit as to the number of wines we could choose. They give 2.5 ounces per wine which is enough to share between two people. We wanted to buy every wine we tried, as they are of excellent quality. We ended up buying 4 bottles. This is definitely a winery I would like to visit again. The staff was very knowledgeable and overall friendly. Great experience!

Wow, the best and most classy Winery we visited the day we toured the Seneca Lake area. This winery was by far the most popular of the day not only by us, but also by judging how many others were waiting to get in. Our wait was about 10 minutes then we were escorted to our tasting tasting table. We received two sheets of paper that gave a short history of winery and described the wines we would be tasting. We were served by a young man and a lady who has worked their for 14 years. Both were extremely knowledgeable and engaging. All in all our group was impressed and very pleased with our visits.

Gorgeous location, impressive wines, and attentive staff. Love the flight tasting idea! Clean and modern architecture. Tasting is just outside the vineyard. Best of all is their earth conscious winemaking practices. Highly recommend.

The Riesling are definitely the star here and some of the best in FLX; make sure to taste 4-6 of them to compare and pick your favourites. Ours was Magdalena. The gentleman attending us was very passionate and knowledgeable (also works at their sister winery). The winery is also very cute and tasting room is quite big. Ask to be seated in the section surrounded with windows to enjoy the view on the vines.

Wonderful vineyard with a lot of history behind it. Our server was extremely knowledgeable in all the wines and she went above and beyond to provide excellent service and education for us on the history of the vineyard. We're definitely bringing home their signature Riesling!

Beautiful location and great wines! We always make sure to visit when in the region. All of their Rieslings are fantastic. Make sure you make reservations in advance, they book up quick.

What started as a fun wine tour with a friend ended up being a beautiful learning experience with Heather. Heather is incredibly open to all kinds of discussion about wine and is truly very knowledgeable about the winery and wine itself. She is incredibly passionate about the history, present, and future of all things Herman J Wiemer. Through our tasting experience, I feel connected to Wiemer vineyards and more confident in my palette. As students, my friend and I are incredibly thankful for the wine tasting experience we had today with Heather being our guide through it all. I would like to extend a big thank you to the entire team at Wiemer and highly recommend that anyone and everyone visit the winery!

This winery was the highlight of our trip! Linda was very helpful and all of the staff were gracious. We are not overly experienced, but the Rieslings were the best we ever tasted! The set up inside was comforting regarding COVID conscience protocols! A hidden gem was found this weekend and we will be back!

Wonderful information and setting to taste some fine wines crafted in German style. I find general characteristics of the wine are a clean palette, with different versions based on the specific vineyard, sustainable cultivation, grape and aging vessels. I personally was a big fan of the more traditinal Rieslings and the Chardonnay, but a wide variety of options are available.

My first time here and this place converted me from a single malt scotch guy to a wino, though for a very specific type of wine.

The Noble Select Resiling Josef and the Sauv Blanc Magdalena blew my mind. They will dent your bank significantly if you choose to buy them but it will be an investment in taste. The taste was symphony for my taste buds. I had goosebumps
