Spoonful Records

I stopped by on my visit to Columbus and was delighted. The atmosphere was filled with music and the humming chatter of workers interacting with regulars. It was very easy to find familiar artists as well as my obligatory random record (I like to just pick up whatever has a cool cover). Overall a very nice store and I’ll definitely be back whenever I visit the city again!

A very clean store with a very nice staff. I was able to get a Kickaxe record that I had been looking for, for a while and i was also able to pick up a special order Soen album that I had put in. The only negative is since it is downtown you have to pay to park but I definitely suggest checking them out.

Great selection, great prices and great people! The owners are super nice and we enjoyed chatting with them about music - and things to do around Columbus (ask for their don’t-miss list). We picked up quite a few gems and will be back next time we are in Columbus.

This place is the best. They are always super helpful and patient any time I wander in with a wish list from my record-hoarding husband a mile long on Christmas or birthdays. Great selection, even of the extremely weird stuff that he’s into 🙃

I had a wonderful experience selling a good chunk of my collection of 20+ years to Spoonful Records. I found Amy to be communicative and enthusiastic. I got frequent updates on the pricing and feel like the payout was more than fair. I’m looking forward to spending some money there now that I have more room on my shelves. Thank you!

Great experience. Super helpful and nice owners. I was digging for 45s for a few hours and they were welcoming and hospitable to me as well as all of their customers. They helped several people out with special orders too. Nice shop and loved the aesthetic too.

Beautiful space, fair pricing, and absolutely amazing staff (big shout-out to Amy... you're the best). If you've got a question about anything, they're highly knowledgeable of their inventory and can help you find what you're looking for or, sometimes, an amazing alternative. I always look forward to another visit.

Took my daughter in to look at some vinyl! Had a great time and found a really cool Superman the Animated Series green Kryptonite album! Awesome stuff!

I’ve been shopping at Brett & Amy’s shop for many years. After moving out of Columbus I hadn’t been to their new shop until recently when I was in town they went the extra mile to snag a copy of a record store day special release for me. They are always so kind, knowledgeable & passionate about music & records. You’ll have a great experience when you go!!

I visit record stores when traveling and stopped by Spoonful records this past week. They have a good collection of used & new LPs and 45s. Their prices were also fair.

This is a stand up record store. I love the thrill of searching through used albums, and they always have a good amount coming through their store. But what is so impressive is every used album I have bought is clean, and in good condition. I have been to other stores where the used section is full of dusty, moldy, or warped albums requiring a good cleaning, but not this place. They take pride in meeting this need for their customers. I highly recommend. I have no yet sold anything here, so I cannot comment on this aspect of their services. I have also bought a few new albums here, and I love that they are active on social media to let you know what new releases they will carry that week. Check them out!

Love this record store. I went in one day with my record player to see if they did repairs, and the gentleman whom I believe was the owner told me that he didn't actually do repairs and then spent about 20 minutes fixing my record player for no charge. Which gave me time to browse their awesome selection. Quickly became one of my favorite record stores in Columbus. Parking is a little tricky as it is downtown, but definitely worth it.

Super clean, super organized, very friendly staff! I found one record I was looking for. Unfortunately a metal festival just took place the weekend before so a lot of metal records were out of stock. But the owner (Brett?) was willing to have stuff ordered in for me immediately. Great place, can’t wait to come back.

I don't live in Columbus, I live 2.5 hours south in KY, but I travel to Columbus multiple times during the year. This is one of my main stops when I'm in town. Staff is fantastic, selection is awesome and the shop is just a great place to wander around. If you are in Columbus and are looking for a great record shop, keep Spoonful on your short list.

This is not a record store I have been to before, but I was more impressed than I ever thought I could have been. The system they used to stay organized and give the best service to their customers was immaculate and ran as smoothly as it could have gone. The staff was in the best spirits and was so friendly and on top of of everything the whole time. Thank you so much spoonful records I cannot wait to visit again!

This has literally become my absolute FAVORITE record store! So I spent over a year looking for a specific Quiet Riot record and had no luck until I went to Spoonful. This is the only record store out of the several that I’ve called and visited that helped me find what I was looking for. They took my name and number and followed up with me in about two days and actually found the what I was looking for. They seem to really care about the love and passion their customers have for music. They were nice and beyond helpful. Absolutely love this place!

Great experience for an out of towner. Excellent selection, very reasonable prices, and a super-friendly, engaged staff. Good tunes on, definitely a place I'd hit up again the next time I'm passing through.
