W.g. Grinders

My husband suggested W. G. Grinders for dinner and it did not disappoint. We ordered an Italian grinder, a Reuben grinder, and a pepperoni Stromboli. It was plenty of food, reasonable prices, and great taste. They asked if we wanted the banana peppers on the Italian grinder, it’s good they ask because some may not like them. I always get banana peppers though 🌶 yummy!!
They should add dessert to the online menu, we would have ordered some.

I haven’t been able to enjoy a W.g. Grinders sandwich is a VERY long time. The locations nearest me had closed when I lived in Findlay and then again at the Polaris location. I told a friend we could meet for lunch as long as it was quick - just a sandwich. As we were pulling into the parking lot - I assumed we were going to Canes. And then was thinking - Roosters might be quick enough…. WgW- your signage sucks. I didn’t even see you as an option, and wondered why we were parking so far away from either of the restaurants I could see.

I was quite happy to have your establishment pointed out to me. I didn’t know to ask to eat here as I didn’t know any were still around! I got my go-to order: classic Italian. And wished I was hungrier so that I could have ordered the cheddar macaroni salad. But it was more than enough! So glad I was reintroduced.

I am allergic to onions and the employees here took extra precautions to make sure none of the equipment or utensils and gloves had been in contact with them. It’s very rare to find a place that is willing to do such a thing but it is very appreciated and shouldn’t go without notice but with all that said the food itself is ABSOLUTELY amazing. Highly recommend

Got a 20in BBQ pulled pork without the coleslaw. Dined in. When I received the sandwich, it was beautiful, extremely hot to the touch, but when folded in half, there were cold spots. I think it was the onions, though, as my brother had the same but as a 10 inch, and his sandwich had cold spots in similar locations, so we can only assume it was the onions. Personally, it's still a great sub/sandwich, but for my own tastes , I don't like cold onions.

Always a great meal. I wish more locations were still open. This is one of the best of the remaining locations. Good soft firm bread, great meats and cheese. I personally love the pizza grinder, but the original is also a fav.

Chicken Cordon Bleu is the best sandwich ever! It would be nice if they offered a smaller version of the penne pasta on the kids menu.

I haven’t been to a WG Grinder in well over 25 years. Went to today on a whim and it did not disappoint! Salad was amazing and so was my tuna sandwich. Service was excellent! Love the vibe of the restaurant. Workers were very nice and brought the food to our table. Just really enjoyed my lunch and will be back

great food and service is exceptional. family owned which is a little known fact and they are just awesome people. one of the few places left that has staff and this is a TESTAMEMENT TO THE PEOPLE.

Original Italian grinder went crazy. Italian dressing baked into the bread? Yes please.

I was so pleasantly surprised with how delicious, and perfectly prepared my stromboli was. It was the perfect amount of cheese and meats and the breading was absolutely delicious. I also don't usually like Mariana and I loved theirs and their ranch is perfection. The staff was super friendly and on top of everything and it was nice to see a team of younger kids working so well together. They were literally cleaning the store from head to toe and helping each other and the customers out. Also added bonus was they are super affordable, and their desserts options were plentiful and delicious. We got peanut butter fudge, no bake cookies, chocolate chip cookies, a chocolate bundt cake that was a little dry, and a slice of banana foster that was delicious. And all that only came to 15.00 for all the dessert 😳.

This deli shop is the last bastion of a great product. And it's run by owners who care, Nick and Shelly are fantastic. I stop in about once a month to get a 20-in original Italian grinder, sometimes a club, but they are always fantastic sandwiches. The excellent, Italian baguette is cooked in a conveyor oven with tarragon dressing (depending on the grinder) with the sandwich ingredients on top. Delicious, always.

This place is very good. The bread is fresh and top notch. The meats and cheeses are sliced fresh. Definitely best Grinder I’ve had. Sides are great also. I really like the pasta salad. The atmosphere is enjoyable and comfortable.

Great food and a great little place to eat. We get lunch for our business all the time. Highly recommend!

Love W.G. Grinders!!! So glad they are still around even though so many other locations closed. This is hands down my favorite sub place by far. Also their dessert are amazing.

This place is it ,fresh baked subs with a special of the day that's budget conscious and under 7 dollars.I usually frequent this place 2 or 3 times a week.Today I had a piece of heaven with a generous amount of chunks of chicken on the Buffalo chicken sandwich.Not exactly hot but a perfect blend of spices that comes with a side of ranch or Blue cheese.You won't be disappointed.

Clean, friendly staff, made from scratch desserts, and everything is delicious!! Kid’s pizza was perfect for my toddler! Want to return and have lunch on the patio! Thank you so much!

Best subs in town...seriously
I've been coming here for the past few years and it really feels like a gem of a place. Usually when we go somewhere we choose a thing we like and stick with it. But...there are so many good things on the menu. Buffalo chicken, hot chicken, club, baked chicken, meatball, ham and cheese. Whatever, it's all good. I don't think I've had anything I didn't like but hands down favorites are buffalo chicken, club, stromboli, and the meatball.
I don't live in Columbus anymore but when I do come to columbus, I come here for lunch every time. This place is awesome and I couldn't even make this up. Not a paid review. Come in and check it out, seriously. The desserts are also made fresh everyday by the owners. It really feels like the people working here like their job and it's a nice little place to go. Not a very good photo because I was already scarfing it down. XD

This was excellent. I have not had Grinders in years, and this was better than I remembered. Our sandwiches were large, hot, and fresh, and didn’t cost very much, with a side of marinara sauce which was super tasty. I also had the house salad which was yummy and worth the drive. Will be returning soon.

Always a great experience and the cleanest restaurant I’ve ever been in plus service with a smile! I love their Turkey Reuben and their fresh sides. But, this morning was probably my best experience, I ordered and said I would be back in a few minutes while they made my sandwich because my dogs were in the car as I was getting out of my car a young lady came to my door with my food with a smile.
