Country Kitchen Restaurant

We stopped here at random and felt so lucky to have found it. The food was great, a good variety and really good quality. I was really excited to have beef and noodles which was the special when we visited. I think the preserves were homemade, they were excellent.

This was my first time at this restaurant and I chose it simply because they serve liver and onions. My mother and I went she had the liver and onion lunch sized portion and I tried the honey mustard grilled chicken melt with their crispy fries and clam chowder. The chowder was full of clam, potatoes, onion and carrots. The vegetables were cut quite small so you got some in every bite. The broth was the perfect consistency and very flavorful. The melt had shredded cheese, grilled chicken, honey mustard on toasted bread. I had their sourdough but you can choose from a variety of bread options. We chose to get dessert to go, I had the coconut cream pie and it was perfect. Mom choose banana pudding, they brought it out in a jar and I expected them to take it out of the jar and put it in a to-go container but nope they covered the jar with plastic wrap and put it in our to go bag. Food was phenomenal and service was beyond great. Everyone was very friendly, greeted with smiles and takes the time to answer any questions without attitude. It felt like eating lunch at a friend's house. I can't wait to go again.

Food was really, really good. Haven't had a chicken fried chicken that good in my life. Sides (green beans, mashed potatoes and fried apples) were on point and dessert (coconut cream pie) was good. Service was good for how busy they were.

For a mom & pop operation it was excellent.
Only complaint: for a place that boasts a "Home cooked meal," don't use dehydrated potatoes please. Super price, service and food. Absolutely loved the homemade jelly

It has always been a great place to eat, I have been stopping there for over 30 years. I don't get over that way very often anymore, but when I do I always try to stop there. Great food at very reasonable prices, always good size portions. Great staff, always friendly.
Also their soup beans are to die for!!!

You think it's a "greasy sppon" bc it's at a truck stop but you will be pleasantly surprised! The food is amazing, servers are great!! Lots of regulars in there which is always a good sign. This place is halfway between our house and our son's, great meeting spot!! Give it a try!!!

There were super busy..so if you don't have time... I don't think it's a good idea...also the portions are more than enough for one person. Food is truly yummy... DELICIOUS and the quality of the food is worth the money...waiter was polite and nice but I wish there were smiling more often but I understand them, busy. Definitely will come again 🙌😊🧡

I had a great experience today. I had ordered online and went to pick up my food. There was a sign on the counter talking about paying in cash. So when the young lady got my food I paid with cash. About 4 hrs later I realized I had already paid online. I called and picked up my cash. I wanted to thank all who was involved for the honesty. I will return and refer this place to everyone. Thanks again

This was our first time here. The service and food was great! The waitress was nice and helpful with suggestive. My husband had the chef salad and was given plenty of dressing. I had the chicken and dumplings, which was a delicious comfort food.

Picked up 3 liver and onion dinners for take-out. Very good. Didn't eat inside, but husband said it was comfortable looking and everyone was friendly. Check them out!

The best restaurant I’ve eaten at in quite a while. Great atmosphere with no “gaming it up” this place is the REAL DEAL!

All truckers and wives and old country music. I felt like I was going back in time. In a good way. It was so nice just to sit down and order a meal without all the fake politeness and stuff like that.

I swear I didn’t hear a country song post 1989. And I got the steak and eggs and posted the pic. 20.19. You can’t beat that.

It wouldn’t surprise me if this place has been here since 1960. Good for them.
Great food. Great service and a great part of the country community.

Very nice country diner with friendly staff. Our waitress checked on us several times, and the food came out quickly. We loved the pickle fries!

Here on business and seen this place across the street from the Flying J truck stop and decided to check it out I wasn't disappointed

I ordered a BLT,it was great,a little small but good,Cole slaw was some of the best I've ever had,also picked up some blackberry jam,overall I would definitely recommend

I am a trucker had to get a fast meal before departing I went in and saw a lot of people and was concerned as I thought I would have to wait a long time the service was nice and after 10 minutes they brought my food out. For the amount of people there was I was expecting 30+ minutes but they surprised me, incredibly nice service would recommend.

The main home cooked Mom and Pops rice is the best way to go it's always fresh always good and the atmosphere is good you know sometimes you do have to wait but that's what it is you know but the food is outstanding and I like to go when they have it all you can eat chicken I can eat fish it's great I recommend it

This diner is exactly what I'd expect, with a Country Kitchen name. Hometown vibe, friendly service, all the country fixings. Grits were good, eggs & hashbrowns were just fine, the biscuits were okay but, the extra gravy made up for it, & lastly my coffee cup was always full. Overall I had a good welcoming experience & would come back within my travels.

My hubby and I had the Texas ribeye steak. Soooooooo goood!! On my end Perfect with the broccoli!! My hubby.... said his was little under cooked and a lot of fat. Very friendly service and staff! Yummy dessert too!!

I had the cod sandwich and fries, which was very good and my husband had the meatloaf and vegetables and he did enjoy it. The service was good peaceful and quaint. Good prices also.

Stopped infor a bite to eat. First time in the restaurant and it was great. I would highly recommend you stop by and enjoy
