I love coming here to get high quality breads and baked goods for my family. I usually get the pain de me which is a softer loaf; very versatile bread to have on hand for the week. The pepperoni roll is delicious!!! Tastes like a calzone with more emphasis on the bread than the cheese- delicious. Also the coffee cake croissant is unique and a favorite.

I got a pepperoni roll, and my boyfriend tried their chocolate croissant. it was pretty crowded but the people that sat next to us were very polite & so were the workers

We went for breakfast pastries and were almost overwhelmed with the delicious looking options. Luckily for us everything we got was exceptional, I don’t think you can make a wrong choice. After much deliberation the highlight for us was the sausage and cheese croissant! Definitely stop here, we will be back next time we’re in town!

Got the pizza and rosemary focaccia. The pizza you have to call ahead and they only serve it 3-6 every Friday. I’ve been looking for pizza like this in the Cleveland area. Crunchy, crispy, simple quality ingredients. A rustic Neapolitan. I will be back!

Wow, what a lovely modern and beautiful space! The coffee, artisan bread and sweet potato hand held pie were all delicious! Great place to take an afternoon break with family. Tremont is lucky to have such a nice Cafe that can add to the neighborhoods charm and up and coming development.

So they do pizza on Fridays that you have to preorder if you want a whole pie and I think it's the best incentive to plan a trip there and get a loaf and a Tea or coffee. The pizza is so tasty and pleasant if you need a Friday game day pizza get it from here you deserve something that's good quality and so do your loved ones . All of the pastry and bread is baked fresh also get the Iced Hibiscus tea it'll make you feel like an fancy adult

My friend wanted to try Leavened and I’m so glad she did. My selections were some of the best I’ve ever had: cinnamon sticks, focaccia, cruffins….everything was amazing. The patient staff helped me narrow down my choices as I wanted one of everything! Everyone I shared my bakery with agreed that it was all out of this world. Great experience and I can’t wait to go back!

Incredible baked products and extremely good coffee.

My poor pictures don't fully sell the quality of products sold there. The patisserie/small flakey baked treated are truly phenomenal. world. They're so perfectly flaked that they occasionally fall off of your treat in broad, papery strips like leaves in autumn. They're crisp and carmelized on the outside and impossibly tender on the inside, with really interesting and balanced flavors (the breads as well as the patisserie). I can't say that I've had a comprable experience at any other French-inspired bakery in the area.

For about twenty dollars, we ordered two lattes, a boule of almond-cherry bread, a blackberry lavender croissant, and a cardamom bun. All of it was good and money well spent but I especially liked the cardamom bun, which was like a cruffin (croissant muffin), rolled in a blend of castor sugar and cardamom (it was destroyed before I could ever conceive of taking a picture of it).

I am a big fan of Leavened. They specialize in sourdough breads—on a daily basis, you can get at least four kinds of sourdough! Amazing! The pastries are creative – – most recipes that you could not get any place else in Cleveland! (The cardamom morning bun is the stand out, in my opinion.) The lunch menu is small, but well curated: a soup, a vegan sandwich, and a meat sandwich, all beautifully executed. And it’s a great coffee bar! All the classics, done well. I haven’t yet had one of their pizzas, which they do as a special on, I think, Thursday’s evenings. Overall, this place is a neighborhood treasure!

My wife and I first experienced Leavened early on during the pandemic while they were testing recipes and baking in the Cleveland Bagel kitchen. We enjoyed everything we tried: the scone and the pain de mie being particularly memorable. We were very excited to visit the new location and the pastries did not disappoint. The space looks great and we look forward to going back to try one or two of their sandwiches.

Leavened is everything I could ask for in a cafe - really nice baked goods that change often, pizza on Fridays, good coffee and a selection of bottled drinks, and a modern interior that still manages to be cozy, with large windows and lots of natural light. Not a huge space inside, so on busy days you may not have a place to sit, but as long as you go in knowing that you're good. Location is in a quiet corner of west Cleveland, and as with a lot of Cleveland neighborhoods there's plenty of curb parking nearby.

If you only buy one thing at this bakery (and it almost feels denigrating to call it a bakery because the people behind the bread and pastry making are true artisans)…it is this: coffee cake croissant. It doesn’t look like a standard issue croissant nor does it taste like one but it does borrow the delicious, tender flaky pastry of one. It is filled with a small amount of what I believe to be pastry cream. The best part? A small amount of bruléed sugar on top. Mic drop. I am half kicking myself over writing this review because now I live in fear of going in there and these delicious little croissants being sold out. But hey Cleveland, you deserve to eat this at least once. Amazing. And grab a loaf of sourdough, too. It is (dare I say) better than On the Rise Bakery. Well done to whomever owns this place. I am a big fan :)

Fresh baked goods from scratch, the right way. Blueberry croissant was crazy good and the latte was smooth and balanced with great flavor. We stopped on a Sunday afternoon around 2, and still found enough options to make us happy! The employee also made our hot chocolate not so hot, knowing it was ordered for our 4 year old. I thought that was such a special touch that they were present in the ordering process and knew that would be helpful. Thank you! We'll def be back.

Have gone to Leavened numerous time and just came here to say this is the best bakery in Cleveland. Not only do they execute bread and pastries on the highest level but they are always switching it up!! they will feature new seasonal breads and pastries so it honestly makes me go in way more than any other bakery because I'm always like "holy smokes I need to try that before it's gone". Also - very fair prices.

Leavened is the perfect place to start your weekend mornings! They bake various loaves and pastries, savories and sweets and they also have coffee. We tried the cinnamon roll (so moist!), the chocolate croissant and the cheddar scallion scone alongside a mocha and an iced latte with oat milk. They have so many options! We adored the interior as well, and had we not been headed to Edgewater Park for the day, I know we would have enjoyed ourselves in their lovely café. Excited to head back to pick up some of their breads and to try their cardamom bun!

Perfect chocolate croissant! Cheddar scallion scone is a close second favorite among their many delicious pastries, breads, and baked goods. Great coffee. I only wish they could warm up the cinnamon buns to enjoy in the cafe.
