Eclectic, unique and fun. If you are looking for a style that isn't mass produced or at every Ikea in the country, they've got it; from vintage posters, lamps and accents to museum pieces. They had an actual Mies van der Rohe Barcelona chair!! They know what they're doing.

Always an inspirational experience at Rook seeing all the beautifully curated items, so many of which have great history and stories of their own.

We bought a MCM sofa with documented proof of its originality that had been carefully preserved by John and Adam (the owners), which only added to the quality of our purchase.

Highly recommend it as a regular stop and bring your dough 💰 or you’ll miss out 🛋.

Rook Modern is one of my ABSOLUTE favorite Cleveland shops! I recently moved from NYC and needed to furnish my apartment in Cleveland. I’ve purchased several pieces from them and have had a great experience every time. Their selection is extremely high quality and very very curated. I love stopping by when I’m in the area and could spend hours in their shop. Also, they are super accommodating with making appointments that fit your schedule. Each item I’ve purchased is such a treasure and has helped make my home a space I love spending time in. Their prices are fair for the quality of furniture they sell. The two owners have an exceptional eye for design and I love following the Rook Modern Instagram account for inspiration. I’m a life-long customer for sure!

Great shop, truly like walking into an exhibit. I bought a lamp here once, but as a college student with limited funds, most of my visits are just to admire and explore the incredible collection these guys have curated. They’re always kind, welcoming and informative. Shops like these are what give neighborhoods character & life. Being from Columbus, I look forward to stopping in the shop whenever I’m passing through Cleveland & I highly recommend anyone who's into mid century / modernist design check them out. As a student studying industrial design, and MCM chair collector, there’s nowhere in Ohio I’ve found to have a better collection or shop staging. Five stars

I purchased a bench from Rook Modern earlier this year. The quality is outstanding, and the care that they put into restoring this piece is obvious. The owners are friendly, and delivered the bench themselves. They have great taste - follow them on Instagram and you'll see all their beautiful finds!

Rook Modern is my go to spot for home furnishings. Throughout the years I have found some of my favorite pieces from John and Adam- rug, AP coffee table, Yugoslavian lounge chair and deco print to name a few. They are fair and kind and the store in Tremont is well curated and inviting. I’m grateful for Rook Modern!

Excellent shop!! We try to bring all our friends from out of town to check it out. My partner and I have bought several pieces from Rook and (if we had the space) would love to buy more. Nice presentation and quality workmanship. A must stop in Tremont and gem of Cleveland.

Definitely my favorite place in Tremont. They always have the coolest furniture and art and the customer service in great. They really love what they are doing and it shows.
