I read the reviews for Michaels at the West Side Market and Michaels was not there two years ago. Their stand had been taken over by a bakery that made macaroons. Michaels had left that stand and is operating at their Broadview location.

Great place to get any bakery. Favorite spot for pies and tiramisu, but haven't had anything bad yet.

I was there Yesterday to buy some Macaroons and I was in shock how rude was de lady that was taking my order. She was very disrespectful with a very bad attitude. I was with my family and she was looking at us bad and even tap the counter with her hand because she wanted us to hurry and decide what we where going to order fast even thou I was telling her the different flavor I wanted. I was never treated so bad before at a place. And the macaroons wasn’t even that good they tasted like a sweet cookie instead of how they’re really supposed to taste. And more expensive than other places. Never going back. Such a bad experience.

I was visiting Cleveland for the first time this weekend and decided to check out the popular Westside Market. The macaroons at Michelle’s Bakery looked delicious and I saw a sign saying they were only $1.50 each. I decided to get 6 and they were offering 2 free. The girl who helped me told me my total was $17, I was caught off guard and politely questioned the price. She immediately became annoyed and very rudely told me they were $2.50 each and as I was about to say “that’s okay” and began handing my credit card over she abruptly and very loudly said “OKAY, WE ARE DONE. THANKS” and snatched the container of macaroons back. I do believe there is a nicer way of doing everything and could not believe she had spoken to a customer like that, not even giving me a chance to reply. She definitely left me with a bad taste of the Westside Market and Cleveland. I think Michelle’s Bakery needs to re-educate their staff on how to treat people.

Decided to give them another try after arriving home to find my bakery purchase was extremely old, stale and inedible on my first visit. Several months later identical experience; looks great in the display case but hard, stale and should not have been sold. Both visits occurred at their Westside Market stand. It would be impossible for them not to know they are passing along dated bakery to unsuspecting customers. I did my part by giving a second chance and waiting to review. I’d rate zero stars if I could and will not return.

I was visiting from out of town and asked the lady behind the counter a simple question. I was treated very rudely. I told her how rude she was and that I was about to buy pastries but would never give someone so rude my business. Obviously this is an ongoing problem after reading other reviews. If they want to stay in business get better help.

I was there not to long ago and I purchased the special which was 6 big cookies for 5 dollars . yesterday I was trying to get the same thing . they must have a new management or something because the two girls that were there were mean and disrespectful and of the girls tried to insult my intelligence by telling that I did not buy my cookies there and I had the wrong place. I knew where I purchased my cookies from. they (girls ) told me that they were not making any more big cookies what company does that? I am very disappointed in the way Michelle's Bakery operates . they need to bring back the old staff at least she was nice they are not at least not to me:(

Never in my life have I been treated so disrespectfully! The woman at the counter was extremely rude. I am baffled that this business allows such poor treatment of customers. Judging from the other reviews it seems it's a recurring issue. Definitely never going back and strongly recommend to steer clear.

I placed an order yesterday at Michelle's Bakery and I was treated disrespectfully. The employee was rude about taking money and slammed the product on the counter. She had no reason to be so aggressive. I will not be returning.

Lady behind the counter was completely nasty and gave me ATTITUDE when I asked for a particular piece. “Sorry not gonna do it”. I believe were her exact words. Not buying from them again!!!!!! If you’re that miserable at your job, go wash dishes in the back where you’re not dealing with the public!!!

Lady was extremely rude. Had out of town guests and she was an embarrassment to Cleveland. Won’t go back.
