Shaker's MarketPlace

A nice small local grocery store. They have a nice selection of pies, breads, and donuts from some local bakers and a nice hot food counter by the deli. It has fried chicken, some Italian foods, and some other assorted goods.

I've been going to Shakers for about 13 years now. Long enough back to remember when the bag boys would push your cart to your car and load your groceries for you.

Now I shop small. Usually buying only each nights dinner and the following days lunch and snacks for the kids. This means I stop in almost every day. I'm there a minimum of 5 days a week, multiply that by 13 years.

Now are they the cheapest grocer around? No. Do they have everything my wife and kids want? Not always.

So why do I continue to shop there? Because when I walk around shakers, the employees know me. They know my wife. They know my kids. They say hello, ask how my day is going, make jokes, etc... They know me. I've gotten hugs and handshakes from them. And that's not something you get at a Walmart.

Now in all my years of shopping shakers. I can count on one hand the amount of employees who I feel go above and beyond for me.

Amanda is one of them. Shakers needs more employees like her. All small businesses who's employees are the face of their business need someone like Amanda. I can't speak highly enough of her. From her greetings of "HI hun!" To her jokes with my kids about them getting my change, or driving home. I can't speak highly enough of her. So much so that I felt I need to write this review after walking in the door with my Shakers groceries.

Very nice/helpful girls in the produce dept! The last time I shopped there was in 1980 when I lived nearby, it's grown so much, still a great store and I will definitely go back even if it's out of my way.

I stopped in and grabbed some of their boneless Rib steaks that they had on sale. We were very happy with them, great flavor and very tender. I'd definitely purchase these again and tell folks to give the meat dept. a try. Also bought some of the Gerber chicken, great brand. Glad that we have them around as an alternative to the big bird. One more thing, I couldn't find Morton Kosher salt anywhere but Shaker's had it.

Good downhome grocery store. Great fried chicken and jojos. Good produce. Watch for affordable sales. Good meats. Nice people.

Our family has been coming to this store since it was owned by the shaker family, The new owners aren't such a bad shabby bunch of folks the tellers are a younger generation and easy to talk to, My wife is crazy about craft beers and the selection of beers is just out of this world definitely worth stopping by to get your late night Friday party going on here

Clean, expensive, quaint grocery store. Can't afford to buy much from there. It offers a decent selection for families who can.

I was pleased 😌 to visit Shakers Marketplace on or about 1-11-23. I was there to pick up Jiff peanut 🥜 butter, Rye bread, milk 🥛, shredded mozzarella. This was the first time I visited this store. I saw a young lady, working in produce. Went over to talk to her about my list 📃. She was very pleasant and polite. She said she was not able to assist me, but would get someone who could. A manager came over and helped me with everything on my list 📃. The cashier also was very courteous. I will be returning when I have a small amount of things to pick up. I would also recommend this store to anyone looking for groceries.

They are so accommodating!! Asked for more American made dog treats and they listened! I couldn't help but grin when I seen the new display!! I bought one of everything. My Greyhounds thank you!!

Love this place. Clean. Friendly staff that goes over and above. Down home old school feeling. More variety than ANY other grocery store anywhere around. Beer selection is insane. They have the widest variety of premium high quality products at a local market that Ive seen to date. Butcher is awesome. Hey there may be things that might be priced slightly higher, but not everything. They also offer a coupon program that is comparable to the bigger chains so you can still get the prices just stacking those digital coupons, type in your phone number at checkout, and it logs your savings. The place is awesome. 5 stars hands down.

I visited this place for the first time ever tonight, despite regularly passing by it while on my drive home, I was right in front of the plaza when my wife requested elbow macaroni and I needed beer; there was no reason for me to not stop, even if it was just the easiest place for me to stop.

I can't explain in words how good the service I received from this store was, every employee I ran into personally seemed concerned with helping me pick up my elbow macaroni and beer; I wasn't rushed but I knew the employees were there to help.

This place is a gem, I won't think twice about visiting this store again.

Top notch service, fair prices and, high quality products. This is the kind of grocery store most people would love to have nearby.

My sister and her family live in The area, I've passed this place up hundreds of times. Thankfully, I just happened to need something and stopped tonight.
Staff were absolutely Amazing and personable, very professional and that's not everywhere these days.
Prices are nice too, meats and produce looked exceptional and there's little things across the store(cards, shirts, scarves etc..) that'll have you adding to your cart from the moment you enter until the moment you're checking out.
Like beef sticks and dog treats at the register. Lol

This is a the best grocery store I have ever shopped at. They have fresh produce and meat etc. Great bakery. Good prices. Willing to order things they do not have. Largest choice of beers we have seen. One of the best features is all employees are friendly, helpful and smiling. What a pleasure. They also will take the groceries to the car and refuse tips. We drive there from Avon. Thanks to Shaker's.

Great staff! This is like shopping when stores careful about their patrons. The staff is friendly and goes out of their way to assist you. There are even guys and a girl who take your groceries to the car and load them for you. You feel appreciated a nd not like you're bothering them to do their job. Prices are a bit higher but worth the experience for a more personal, small store experience.

Very convenient closer to home than larger chain with things the other store don't have.

I don't go anywhere else other than Shaker's IGA. It is a clean store, Has a great selection , and an awesome Deli. And it's great when the employees spot you always ask how you are, and if They can help you find whatever you seem to be looking for Especially refreshing when it's from one of their younger employees. an extra bonus to me is to have a friendly human being at the register and when it gets a little busy they always call for extra help. I love that they Bag your groceries, I've even had one of the ladies help me take the stuff out of my cart to put on the checkout conveyor. Also It Blows me away to Have a Courteous employee take my stuff out to the car and help me load my trunk.Where Else does this happen in this day and age? I absolutely refuse to shop for my groceries anywhere else.

Best beer selection anywhere near this area. The owner is a great guy and everyone is helpful and friendly. Their products are a smidge more expensive than some of the big box corporate grocers, but they sell a service, carry your groceries to your car if you need and everyone is extremely pleasant.

The place is clean, organized and the staff was very courteous, professional and willing to go the extra mile. As a matter of fact, when I asked Natalie about the location of the 3 liter Coke, she went and got it for me while I was at the register already to pay. GREAT PLACE..
