Reply to JASON DOBSON: From 1992 thru 2001, my backyard butted up to this beautiful place. It was very well maintained. I hope it still is. Sometime when I'm in the area, I'll go check it out.

I used to walk here all the time..It is like a Time Capsule over 3,000 Known Bodies are at rest here and many more unmarked Graves of Native Americans and Slaves.. the grave stones are in English and German...The first white child born in Old Brooklyn/Brighton is here also!...as you travel down the NEW Broadview Rd...and cross west 25st/Pearl rd (3 c's for history buffs)... onto a old part with 100 year old working family homes..then the Road stops and you enter the Gates to the Past..I have seen Deer and Rabbits here every time..but, be careful as there are many trip hazards and sunken stones...but, even if you just drive in and sit...turn the car off and allow your mind to wander..and not 1 person buried here ever had a cell phone..i love it here!...

Who maintains the cemetery? Every time I visit, my father's stone is covered in mud (example: 3rd photo). As a Vietnam veteran, he had a flag placed on his site for Memorial Day...the flag was old, faded, broken and taped with electrical tape (1st photo). Unacceptable! (The photo with flowers is after my fiance and I cleaned up the site.)
