Mr. B's - A Bartolotta Steakhouse - Brookfield

Make a stop at the bar upon arrival to get great recommendations from the bartenders with a great conversation. The whole experience is nothing short of fine dining. The staff is top-notch, food of high quality and well prepared. I did have an issue with my combo (Filet and salmon) as my salmon was very overcooked and had a crunch on the end.. I didn't say anything, because everything else was so great. I wish I had the full experience in this dish but what a classy place!

Everything about our experience was excellent! We had a drink at the bar first and the bartender was friendly and she did a good pour! Our waitress, Madalyn, was professional, friendly and very attentive. We had the calamari appetizer which was some of the best I’ve ever had. I had the classic surf and turf and my husband had the horseradish crusted aged ribeye. Both were superb. The peach bread pudding dessert was also wonderful. The ambiance was great especially since we were celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening there!

I want to thank the whole team at Mr. B's for a fantastic evening. We came in to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday, and everything was just perfect. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. I highly recommend Mr. B's to everyone and can't wait to come back again.

My wife and kids took me to Mr. B's for my birthday. Your staff made it a wonderful event. We had a great time and an absolutely delicious meal! The service was spectacular - the perfect blend of being friendly and attentive, with a genuine desire to make our night special! Thank you!

I haven't been here since 2016 and last time was for work. This time my husband took me for my birthday dinner. We made online reservations and arrived 15 early and were able to be seated right away. Our waitress Brenna was super. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The appetizer was good but dinner was better. Steak and scallops, steak cooked perfect to my request, my husband had a different steak and his was cooked perfect too. Twice baked potato, peppers as a side were also very tasty. The fruit sorbet was delivered as a birthday treat and our sweet tooth craving was satisfied. Though, it was smart of Brenna to suggest taking flourless chocolate cake home....it hit the spot later. The wine, red blend, was good. I would like to try some other dishes another time.

Mr B's was, without a doubt, the best restaurant I have ever had the pleasure and luxury of visiting. The food was absolutely phenomenal, to say the least. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection, and was truly the best steak I have ever had.

The place was pretty packed on a Saturday night, but we had a reservation and were given an absolute perfect table. From the hostess, to the wait staff, to the (what I assume was) the manager, the staff was absolutely wonderful. Everything was brought out in a perfectly timely manner, There was never a moment when we felt that we weren't being attended, while at the same time we felt that we had the perfect amount of privacy.

I was being treated to such a feast by my wonderful SO for my birthday. And while it was absolutely a pricy meal, I never thought for a moment that anything there was overpriced. It was just quite frankly the best food I've ever had, hands down.

And to top it off at the end of the meal, two waiters came and put a single birthday candle in our desert, wished me a very happy birthday, and did not charge us for the desert. It was absolutely lovely, and not at all overbearing or embarrassing like I might have been at some other restaurants.

In conclusions, if you want an absolutely incredible meal, and your willing to pay a nice premium, I highly recommend Mr B's. We certainly will be eating there again at some point in the future. 5/5 perfection.

Service was amazing! The staff were very kind & very professional. The food came very quickly and was delicious! A big shout out to Matthew & Kelly for making our 36 year anniversary dinner very special!! They both were terrific! And a special thank you to the Chef for a delicious dinner and for honoring my request to not salt my food. I'm a heart patient and am not allowed to have salt & the Chef honored my request! I have been to several restaurants that the Chef/Cook refused that particular request and needless to say I was not able to eat the food. Thank you again Chef, your food was amazing! Thank you to all the staff for their kindness and professionalism. We will definitely be back & highly recommend Mr B's!

This was a fabulous lunch time visit. Normally they are not open for lunch but have a holiday special brunch time that we stumbled and on. Visiting from Madison have never gone to any of these restaurants. The wait staff was extremely friendly and kind. The food we had was of top quality. The French onion soup was the best I have ever had. The salad that came with my meal was all high quality greens and vegetables. My husband raved about his steak. An absolutely dynamite meal we had. Also nice to note these were the cleanest bathrooms I have ever been in and they were very nice as well. I would give this an establishment a 10 out of 10

Not only was the food incredible but the staff, from the hostess to the waiters/waitresses, was incredibly nice and accommodating. This place is a must if you like steaks and fine dining. Jeff, our waiter, made us feel at home and was super accommodating. I had a great experience and can’t wait to come back.

My Wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Mr B’s. The service was outstanding, never felt rushed and our server was super knowledgeable and did a great job assisting with perfect drink selections that went perfectly with our meals. The food was delicious and my 12oz tenderloin was cooked to perfection. Absolutely great evening!!!

From the original online table reservation to the ease of changing the reservation timing online, to arrival and coat receiving it was a welcoming experience. The two servers Brenda and Arnold excelled in making you comfortable, as also introducing the menu just so right without making you feel distressed!! Excellent Salmon specialty done some what medium rare, with an excellent long bone pork chop! The bartender made an excellent mockhito while we enjoyed our old fashioned!
Full five stars for the entire experience that could have gone to six stars, if the simple penne pasta had a little more character.

They brought in a little candle-lit brownie/mudpie for a complimentary anniversary celebration too!

My wife and I went there for our first time and wow was it an experience! The decor and atmosphere feels very premium and welcoming. There were three waiters for our table so the service was amazing. The food was out of this world and definitely the best steak I've ever had. Cocktails were good, service attentive, and prices modest for the food that you get.

Nice ambiance for a date, the location off of Capital drive is the best in our opinion. Great food.

There are excellent sauces they will have you choose from to go with your steak including a house steak sauce (sweeter than typical steak sauce), a Cabernet wine sauce, classic bearnaise, and/or a bourbon peppercorn cream sauce.

They also have chicken, lamb, fish, scallops and other options for those that would prefer something other than steak.

Such a wonderful experience! The service could have been a bit better throughout and after our meal, we didnt get refills on drinks and our plates needed to be cleared. The rib eye and the 44oz Porterhouse was amazing!

Staff was very welcoming. The acoustics and atmosphere in the restaurant were pleasant both for conversation and for our son with special needs. Our servers Alicia and Sar were wonderful. The meal was superb. Pleasant dining experience start to finish.

I loved this spot! It had a nice European ski lodge kind of feel. You definitely did not feel like you were in the States being here. I loved it. Very classy and relaxed.

This was our 2nd time there. We celebrated our Anniversary this time and was not disappointed! Everything was so good and cooked to perfection. Can't wait to go back. Oh, and the staff was very attentive.
I forgot to mention that we live in Illinois so this restaurant is very special to us
