I can't say enough good things about this clinic! The staff is amazing and truly cares for my pets like they are their own! I always know my boys are in good hands here.

Highly recommend this place! They were super helpful when I first got my dog at explaining what shots were needed and when. They are always very sweet and accommodating. I needed to board my dog last minute and didn't have the kennel cough or flu vaccine yet - they quickly squeezed me in! Definitely recommended!

Needed to have my cat's ears checked. Was able to get a prompt appointment. Dr. even came out to talk directly to me. Theresa was very helpful and knowledgeable. They treated my cat like he was their pet!

We have not been taking our dogs here very long, but so far we really like this vet and staff. We did like the vet we have been going to for years as well but when we called around, his prices were higher for heartworm checks, shots and visits . . so needed to switch rather than mince on the dogs getting what they need. Independence Vet is a one woman vet operation and she goes out of her way explaining things, which we really like.

Wonderful vet, the staff is super friendly and Dr. Jatsek spends a lot of time with you and your pet, she lets you talk, ask questions, and listens. Not the typical in and out. They even take the time to call the next day just to check in...even on minor stuff. Highly recommend!

The whole team here has been wonderful to us! We had the unfortunate experience of a cat dying and we couldn't have had a more comforting and caring team to work with. Not long after we adopted two new kittens and one found himself in an emergency rather quickly. They called the MedVet in Brookpark ahead for us to share the information they had about the kitten and make sure they were ready. Thanks to the team here, our kitten is doing fantastic. He and his sister now go here for their regular preventive care and shots. Couldn't ask for a better team!

My previous vet Dr Konkel of Northfield had retired after many years and i was having a difficult time finding a vet who genuinely cared about animals more than my pocketbook. That is until by the grace of god, i came across Dr Jatsek and her staff at the Independence Vetetinary hospital on the corner of Hillside and Rt 21. It was clear from the moment we walked in that we finally found a place that cares about our pets in the same way we do.
My 17 yr old boxer had a stroke and was unable to walk for a week. I went to the office 95% sure my dog wasnt coming home with me and i would have to put him down. Dr Jatsek recommended before i make any rash decisions, leave the dog there and let them examine him and we can find out whats going on with him. They called me later to tell me that my dog is still full of life. Hes still trying to get up but he still couldnt walk. She did tell me i had one last option but it was up to me. With not getting my hopes up too high she said we can try a steroid treatment for a couple days and maybe theres a 5% chance he can walk again. Shes seen it happen in the past but its not likely. It was worth a shot. I would have to say 99 out of 100 vets would never of given me this advice with a 17 yr old dog. She was brutally honest . in my eyes this prolonged my dogs life at least another 2 days. They saw hope in my dog. Even though the percentage was low they gave me hope. 2. Days later a miracle from above happened. My 17 yr old boxer started walking again and got all his motor skills back. He gained 15 pounds and is doing better now than before his stroke. Dr Jatsek and her staff saved my dogs life . i never imagined id get my boy back stronger and better than ever. Dr Jatseks experience in the field and her knowledge of her trade has really made a diffetence not only in my dogs life but my life for saving him.

Have no 2nd thoughts bringing your pets here. They will care for your pets like their own. Im forever grateful to Dr Jatsek and her awesome staff. THANK YOU!!!! #THE BEST VET IN TOWN!!!!!!!!!
