A very picturesque waterfall, with the trail to and from it being very short but not accessible for those with disabilities.
Connects very easily to many other trails here if you're wanting a longer hike like we did.

Beautiful falls- even with the drought, there's a decent waterfall!- and a beautiful place in general. If you just want to see the falls, the path is all a wooden boardwalk. You can see the falls from the bottom by taking a bunch of stairs, or from the top by following the flat boardwalk. I think it's great that people of any mobility levels have options to see the falls!

If you want to extend your walk, you can follow the loop around (the Stanford loop) for a total of about 1.5 miles. This includes the boardwalk, some of the bike trail, and hiking through the woods.

Very easy boardwalk path out to the falls. There is a flat option to see the falls from the top and a lower option with stairs to get a little closer for a better view. With a baby and two dogs it was an easy waterfall to visit. The dogs were a little scared coming up the stairs but they did OK.

Super easy trail along the boardwalk to a viewing spot at the top of the falls. Additional platform down quite a few steps, but very much worth it if you're able. Beautiful falls! Restrooms are at the car park.

One of the best waterfalls in the area. They are absolutely beautiful. Brandywine falls are jn the Cuyahoga Valley National Park so there are lots of things to see in the area. It would be the perfect date for those couples that like outdoor adventures.

Carved by Brandywine Creek, the 60-foot falls demonstrates classic geological features of waterfalls. A layer of hard rock caps the waterfall, protecting softer layers of rock below. In this case, the top layer is Berea Sandstone. The softer layers include Bedford and Cleveland shales, soft rocks formed from mud found on the sea floor that covered this area 350-400 million years ago. Shale is thinly chunked, giving water a bridal veil appearance as it cascades down the falls.

A combination of boardwalk and steps brings you into the waterfall's gorge and lets you view the waterfall head-on (a boardwalk option without stairs is also available). The boardwalk also provides a close look at Berea Sandstone. Careful inspection will reveal the individual grains of sand that accumulated in a sea 320 million years ago. Berea Sandstone is high quality sandstone found commonly throughout this area, both in nature and as a construction material used in buildings and canal locks.

The moistness of the gorge is evident as you walk along boardwalk. The moisture invites moss to grow on the sandstone and eastern hemlocks, a type of evergreen tree, to grow along the gorge. The hemlocks contrast with the abundant red maple trees in the area, which flame with color in the fall.

It’s a beautiful falls and the hike around this falls is a pretty good workout. It takes us up and downhill. Loved the hike at this place. We enjoyed some places around the hike with the water flow, took time to sit down there and have some relaxation. If you are doing the just the falls, it’s has some pretty good steps to go down and up.

Great hike we parked at the Boston trail head and Ohio and Erie trail head since all the other parking spots were full. It took us on a beautiful straight tow path trail for one mile and then we switched to the Stanford trail that was about 1.4 miles with two simi steep sloops but they were short and not bad. From there you have the option to take either the 1/4 mile straight up to the Brandywine Falls or go left and take the gorge trail that is 3/4 a mile but at a gentle sloop up to the falls. We opted for the straight up 1/4 mile since it was quicker but it is straight up they are not kidding so if you have bad knees or back take the longer trail. The bridge to the falls was busy and a little crowded but most people took turns and shared the views. Don't forget to finish the loop to the back of falls so you can see the remains of the old electric building that was hit by lighting back. If it's hot wear a hat and bring water, parts of the tails if not most are in the sun. Trail from parking lot to falls and back is 5 miles.

Had a great river walk today, but I have done all trails leading to this and around it and they are amazing. Great views and nice little workout getting up and down the hills. Stick the boardwalk if you don't want a good hill!

Always a hit with everyone! We take the trail to the falls then follow the loop on the Stanford trail which has an opening to enjoy the water and mini shale falls down the trail. Perfect for a summer day to let the kids loose and have fun and explore the rocks and water. This trail never disappoints and is a must see for all north east Ohioans.

Very pretty waterfall. Must see if you are at Cuyahoga Valley National Park for the first time. There is a boardwalk and plenty of stairs down to a hood view of the falls. The walk down is also very pretty with the rocky wall along the boardwalk as you get closer to the falls.

Short walk from the car park. Majestic view of the falls.

Be careful when walking the the boardwalk during winter. Stairs may iced up and become slippery.

Easily accessible and a great quick stop on our way out of Cleveland. Just a short walk down the boardwalk to see the falls.

Beautiful place for the falls and the trails. A lot of hills and trails to walk. Can easily spend 3 hours there. Very dog friendly place as well.

Awesome very easy to walk trail. The trail is all along a very nicely kept boardwalk that does have many steps. You get up close to the falls on the boardwalk and they are gorgeous!

Absolutely a gorgeous park. Beautiful falls. The sound of that water touches my soul every time. If you have never been it's a must. Their are stairs so not good for wheelchairs from what I saw. That would be about the only downfall. Beautiful black and yellow birds. Saw a snake and tons of spiders. Saw the remains of a hundred year old barn.

Beautiful National Park in NE Ohio! Great walking/biking trails. Well maintained stairs make the short walk from the parking area to the Falls overlook an easy one. We hiked the trails around the Falls and was impressed with how gorgeous the whole area is.

Don't miss the beautiful Bed 'n Breakfast and picnic area adjacent to the bike trail nearby.

We look forward to seeing the Falls again in the different seasons.

I walked the Brandywine Falls Gorge trail and found it to be the nice mix of elevation and walking plus some of the best views for a local hike. There are more trails that connect to it and I would like to explore some more. Coming here at sunset made the shadows dramatic and the views were phenomenal.

The falls were breathtaking, I recommend taking a trip at least once. The park rangers were helpful and the premises were clean and well kept, along with very clean rest rooms.
