River Grove Chestnut Shelter

We had our Holiday Party here & it was very nice. It was really off in the cut though but nice once you arrived 🎄🎁🎄🎁

This is an awesome venue. Fireplaces with the wood provided. The cabins are well lit, there are bathrooms on site, hiking trails, a park for the children and a basketball court. I truly enjoyed the party I attended and plan to rent this venue when I plan a large event.

I attended a family reunion in the lodge in early November. The accommodations were great for a large gathering. The only issue was that you had to go outside to another building for the restrooms. Overall, the place was beautiful, a great venue for reunions, Christmas parties, and/or wedding receptions.

Had our 10 year high school reunion here in June. The shelter was clean and spacious, we were able to utilize the outdoor grilles, tables/chairs, and available dumpster. A sweet spot to reserve for all gatherings!

Our reception was here. Had about 75 people and still had plenty of room.
Water, restroom, electricity, heat... Has all.

Shelter was extremely clean! It's spacious. The large grills outside are very well maintained. It would be so nice to see composting toilets at parks in general (prices are reasonable now!), instead of the traditional pit-type that are merely better than nothing, as long as you only need to perform number one and not two. Otherwise, god be with you. Still, this is a great park, Beautiful shelter!

This place is maintained well and looks lavish without much event decor. Its in the middle of the park and has a farmhouse style feel to it. We have organized baby shower in the buckeye shelter and we have received great service at a convenient price.

Beautiful, quiet. Restrooms close by- convenient and right off the trail. Someone was having a very nice wedding at Chestnht shelter nearby and seemed to be very please with the location.

Well maintained. Heated. Multiple rentable buildings, pavilion, and a small outdoor 'theater' seating area built into the hillside. Fire places in both ends of larger building. Outhouse style bathrooms.

Great spot to host a work get together. Quiet, peaceful, and wonderful facilities.

Has heat in the shelter when reserved. Tables and chairs were all set up when we arrived

It was a great place to visit! Not only do you step back in time, there is a great hiking trails right outside the back door of the knights quarters!!

This place is so good, I haven't even been here and I like it. Keep up the good work guys! Love you! Bye!
