ParkSide 23

I come here at least once a year and for the third year in a row celebrated my birthday and a friend's birthday today. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip which was good. Then we both had the chicken dinner which includes the best mashed potatoes with gravy, vegetables and cornbread. Because it was our birthday, we were treated with a complimentary dessert and I chose the creme brulee (sp.?) which came recommended by our server. I have never had before but took a try at it and I was in heaven. It was so tasty and the perfect size. I think this might be my new favorite dessert. Service was good and atmosphere is always nice.

We used Parkside 23 to cater our wedding and it was outstanding! So many guests commented that the food was delicious and our wedding photographer stated it was the best wedding food they have ever had (and they’ve been to a lot of weddings)! Brittany was so kind and very easy to work with. They really are flexible and accommodate anything and everything (dietary restrictions, kids meals, etc)! We are so happy we chose them and are happy we get to continue to go eat at the restaurant.

We've eaten here twice and both times has a great experience. The menu is arranged by price and there's a good selection of dinner options. All of the dinner options we've had have been very good. Service here is great and the drink menu is full of well crafted cocktails. This place is busy so be sure to make reservations. Dinner seating at the bar is first come first served.

Went here for our book club meeting, which was seven people - notable because they only take reservations for 8+ people in advance, otherwise you have to call the day of. We did that and had no issues getting a reservation on an early Saturday night for the group.
Location itself is on a farm, and it's my understanding they grow many ingredients there. If you're from SE WI and familiar with the "Chancery" restaurants, this is in that family. To me, a bit higher end perhaps than I remember Chancery being.
Entrees were divided by price on the menu, which I'd never seen before.
The service was great - no issues substituting my vegetable choice, and they offered to split the check.
Everything except my wine* was delicious!
*personal preference, no fault of restaurant. You win some, you lose some.

I have now dined at ParkSide23 a few times and each time has been a delightful experience. The service is always kind and prompt and the food is delicious and clearly prepared to order.

I highly recommend the creamed corn as a shareable. In terms of meals, you can’t choose wrong but I have enjoyed the meatloaf, butter baked chicken and braised short rib.

Food was good. Our party has no complaints. The only problem with my experience was the noise level of the place made it difficult to have conversations with people in my group.

This seems to be a favorite for our company and we frequently bring customers and vendors to PS23. We always order the creamed corn to pass around, and it is a hit! The farm next door is beautiful and one of our guests decided to take the tour on our last visit. She was very impressed. The bar can seem a bit loud at times, but the dining room is nice, and this time we sat outside near the fountain in front. I ordered the meatloaf and it did not disappoint. Many dishes are homestyle comfort foods with an upscale take.

One of the best farm to table restaurants in the Milwaukee area. We made reservations for a Wednesday night to celebrate a friend's birthday. It is half off wine bottles on Wednesday so the restaurant and bar were packed. We were seated right around our reservation time. Our server was excellent- friendly, attentive and professional. I tried the short rib tacos. These were packed with meat but could have had a little less pickled cabbage on top. Meat was seasoned perfectly. We also shared a beet salad. Perfect sharing size for 2-3 people. This is a must eat every time we go to Parkside. We ordered several different desserts. My favorites are the flourless chocolate cake and gelato. 5 stars

I really enjoy dinning here. We have not had a bad meal yet. Even if we forget to make a reservation and decide to try and walk in, the staff is nice and accommodating. Pictured is a risotto and delicious summer salad. Both were filling and superb. I really hope their dressings are not made with seed oils and then I will be even more impressed and love them even more! We’ll be back and I can’t wait. Hoping to get a patio spot before summer is over!

Such good flavors in all the food... The veal and tenderloin medallions were both outstanding!

The food was delicious! I had Amish fried chicken and my husband had the tenderloin steak medallions. I cannot remember the last time I cleaned my plate at a restaurant, it was so good!

We celebrated our dad’s 80th birthday here, the second big milestone our family has celebrated at Parkside 23. The food was absolutely delicious and our server, Aaron, did a phenomenal job! The private room was perfect for us with just over twenty guests. It was a great space and beautiful ambiance. Our event coordinator, Brittany, was very helpful and responsive! Highly recommend it!

We had a company party there. Room was nice, appetizers were very good. I ordered scallops and risotto, it was excellent. It just kept getting better with desert, I had flourless chocolate cake and it was outstanding. The waitstaff were friendly and efficient.

Traveling for work and this came up as suggestions! So glad I went! The food and service even on a packed evening was amazing! They even have huge gardens out back for some of their ingredients!

I had the chicken pot pie, which was one of the best ones I’ve ever had! Crispy topping and fresh veggies and chicken!

I also had the Brussels sprouts that were layered in with little bacon pieces. So amazing!

First time here. Made reservations for 6PM. Walked in and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was friendly, knew her menu, our food was very good, loved the atmosphere and we each got a free dessert for our 28th wedding anniversary. We’ll definitely be back!

One of my favorite restaurants. The food was great, the server who was training and the person doing the training were both excellent and atmosphere is always amazing. One person ordered the meatloaf and I ordered the blackened salmon Caesar salad.

Utterly delicious food, wonderful server; this was an amazing experience. So cool with produce grown on site. Pesto was so good on the flatbread, the meat with the entrees was tender and succulent. Cannot wait to come back!

We’ve been going to ParkSide 23 for years and I don’t think we’ve ever been disappointed with a meal or drink here. The menu leans toward American comfort foods, with a few surprises mixed in. There’s nothing too fancy but it always is perfectly prepared and presented. The menu, both the food and also the drinks, do seasonally change which offers some nice variety to their offerings. The restaurant features its own large vegetable plot providing incredibly fresh veggies in season and allowing them to do special garden events in summer which are always well done and enjoyable.

For quick meals after our kids’ school events or after an evening out-and-about we’ll often just stop and have a drink and a snack in the bar. The drink menu offers good variety without being overwhelming, including some specialty drinks that are very good. There’s a good selection of local/regional beers on tap as well as a nice variety of wines by the glass.

The real stars here, though, has to be the staff. Many of the servers have been there for years and are always friendly and helpful with questions, and the bartenders are exceptionally personable. They even remember my wife’s favorite drink (the “Make Me Blush”) and let her know when it’s back in season before she has to ask. In what is the strip-mall and chain restaurant hell that is Brookfield, ParkSide is unique and refreshing.

My husband and I were first time visitors after a recommendation from a friend and we were so happy. The flavor of the food was fantastic and you could taste the freshness in everything. Service and ambiance were great.
Our server was Aaron - he gets 2 "A"s, just like his name. He was excellent!

This is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The food is great, the drinks are good, and the people are amazing. At one point my wallet fell out of my pocket and I didn't notice it. One of the hostesses kindly let me know as she was walking by. We are glad that we gave this place a try and it will for sure be on our "go to" restaurants for date night!
