Black River Reservation High Meadows

Nice park. Great walking trails. Nice picnic area. Has water fountain for both humans and pets. Clean restrooms.

Runners perspective only: I use High Meadows as an entrance to the inland coast trail, usually opting to start my run at Cascade park, head up the road to Ford, and then onto the trail. Path is wide and scenery is great with plenty of wildlife. This is by far my favorite place to run locally. Metroparks are beautiful

Wonderful fall colors at the reservation today. Great place to get out any time of the year to get out and connect with the wilderness any time of the year.

We love walking here with our dog. Only complaint it how busy it can be, but that is not the fault of the park. Plenty of parking and nice trails and the hidden waterfall is gem

I come here occasionally for a nice nature walk. The park system really does an excellent job keeping the path clear. Really a nice park for Lorain County residents to enjoy.

Nice park and great walking and bike trail. The bridges are awesome.
We like to bike there and take a picnic lunch.
The trail used to be around 6 miles one way. With the new extension is around 9 which makes a nice distance for us. Love the new part, is flat, easy ride and beautiful.

Our church had our Memorial picnic here and had a wonderful gathering. Plenty seating under the pavillion and spacious yardage for all the children to play. Such a beautiful area and well maintained. Hope to have gatherings here in the future.

This is part of a huge park connection with a paved path. Very nice. Flush toilets, nice park for the kids. Very nice place for a picnic or walk.

Had a great time walking the trail. Saw the train trestle from the road and just had to see it in person!

The park is a lovely place to meet up for a picnic under one of the massive shelters or take a break from the bike trail. It's an open location with something for everyone from private restrooms, a playground, and once again - truly massive picnic shelters - all surrounded by scenic greenery.

This ranger randomly stopped and offered up his bike as a photo opp for the kids. They loved it!

A very nice place to take a walk, spend time with friends and family, have a picnic all while enjoying the outdoors. There are many trails, bridges, hills, local wild life and even a nice river for fishing or just hanging out on the banks with someone you care about. A all around great experience for friends and family at no cost to you.

Paved roads so you can take those in wheel chairs for a good walk. The view are spectacular along the walk.. 2 bridges for views and a path to the River. However some and I am sure where ever you go, people on bikes can be rude to you but don't let that stop you from enjoying this place!

High Meadows is a small Park. Plenty of grass area to walk your dog, playground for kids, restrooms, shelters for picnicking, walking trails, birds, deer and other wildlife. A very pleasant place to come and enjoy your lunch or go for a walk.

It has a big jungle gym for the children to play. It has big pavilions for large gathering. It has a lot of space for playing and running.

Great place to walk and enjoy souns,sights,smells

I went here for a grad party. There are 3 large pavillions to rent. They are spread out enough that they are private. Noise from one doesn't disturb another.

Great place to walk a dog. And be close to nature.
