The Balck Al Pastor is bomb and the most unique taco in LA. I go back as often as I can when I'm craving tacos that aren't your typical tacos 🤘🏼😈 try the Mc Satan!

I highly recommend these tacos. If you're a fan of octopus then check them out at Smorgasburg. The octopus is nice and they have a recado imported from Oaxaca that gives it its black color and flavor. If you never had octopus tacos then make sure to try these out and treat yourself. Also try their cheeseburger Taco.

Arrived at 4:30 and there was a line. It’s a little bit of a wait but once you order, the food is cooked up rather quickly and was worth the wait. Got The Three From Hell Tacos for $8 (chorizo, carnitas, and pastor). Chorizo had a nice kick and the pastor was absolutely delicious. Would definitely come back and try other menu items.

Just trying these Evil Cooks tacos first time ever.. What Can I say?? Are Amazing!! Delicious!! You will go back again!!! So tender and rich in flavor the al pastor and carnitas!!! The burritos and tortas are great too! SUNDAY they open 1pm, but if you wanna skip the line to order, be there before 1pm or you gonna find like 20 or + people lining up, because they start taking orders by 1:30pm.. They accept card, Venmo and cash. Parking available on the crossing street.

Poseidon tacos were delicious! Ordered at Smorgasburg so of course the line was off the chain! 39 minute wait but got food immediately! Gotta try them at a different venue so I can grab the other meats cuz although they were bomb, not willing to wait that long again!

We ventured out there, my son and I, this evening, as we were craving tacos. Upon arrival, the first thing we noticed was the long line. But as anyone in L.A. knows, long lines usually indicates that the food is worth waiting for.
So we get in line and start discussing our order while we move along. We decided on the 3 taco combo, carnitas, chorizo Verde and black pastor. We also tried the vegan chicharron and for desert, the church taco. I couldn't have been any happier with the food.
The tacos are amazing, generous portions of meat on hand made corn tortillas. The carnitas are tender flavorful, the chorizo pack just the right amount of spice and the pastor was moist and tender. Needless to say, we will definitely be returning in the near future.

Amazing, love the tacos here and the heavy metal theme. Don’t sleep on those octopus al pastor tacos - they are amazing.

Come for the black trompo tacos, but stay for the winnies!

Really friendly staff and great food. Spicy, but not over the top. Love in every bite.

Our fav neighborhood spot. Try the chilaquiles burrito, poseidon taco, rock lobster taquitos (depending on the day) - I dream about and crave these flavors. Nothing like it.

Many vegan options, food was delicious and sodas in a bag were an authentic addition. Must try spot if you’re in the area.

This octopus trumpo (octopus roasted like al pastor) tacos are amazing, the just melt!! Tried them at Smorgasburg LA

Visited on a Saturday right when they opened at 5:00pm. There was already more than a dozen people in line. Waited at least 30 min in line to place my order. The black pastor has a unique flavor and is definitely worth the wait. The chorizo verde was good as well. Also tried both dessert tacos. I would recommend the churro taco over the flan taco. Mad props to evil cooks for inventing new and interesting taco combinations.

The octopus is incredible! I definitely recommend the Poseidon!

My kids have been wanting to go to this restaurant that was highly recommended and popular on social media. This was my first time at Evil Cooks. I was shocked on how flavorful and ridiculously delicious the carne asada muliita was. I also tried to chicaronne taco which was a little bit disappointing because it was cold. I was expecting crispy for chicharron. However this chicharron Taco was served cold purposely don't know. Evil Cooks deserves a five star because of the flavorful because asada. I will definitely be returning I want to try something from the Vegan menu next time.

Inventive and extremely delicious. Gourmet but low key. Really professional pop up set up. These are truly some of the best and most authentic/traditional/legit yet innovative tacos I’ve had.

Tried their Churro cheesecake taco at Smorgasburg in LA! It was amazing! The mint they top it with really sets it off!

I personally had the vegan alpastor tacos and one churro taco.
The vegan alpastor is made with mushrooms it was delicious and flavourful. The tortillas were handpressed as advertised. The churro taco was full of flavor! It had dried rose petals and an abuelita chocolate sauce, all on top of crepe. The staff was friendly.

Hardcore. I deeply respect the commitment these folks have to the look and feel of their establishment. What makes it sing is how devilishly delicious their food is. This has become my favorite new local weekend treat to pop over to their driveway for some magic in the form of black pastor

Sooo good! My sister brought me some tacos. Unlike any other! I’ll be stopping by myself soon! She also said the staff were on their A+ game! Kudos
