I want to give Richard a huge shout out! He went above and beyond to help me and my daughter with our car. I will definitely come back to Ace Hardware.

The employee spent well over a half hour helping me pick out lawn and garden tools. Gave personal information about their experiences with the products they had purchased. Directed me to the internet where accessories could be purchased in balk. Which was very influential. Having tools available to handle and test made the final decisions much easier. I am feeling good about my purchases.

Great honest helpful people. The shop dog (Ginger) is also one of the many reasons why my wife and I shop here.

Had questions on the E-Go rechargeable yard equipment and stopped in on a Saturday. The manager was very knowledgeable about them and apologetic about not having the mower in stock as they had just sold it. That wasn't a big issue as I didn't need it until the following Friday anyhow. So had them order it for me. They got the item for me a couple days later, and I went and picked up the mower that Friday.

He immediately recognized me even though we hadn't talked very long. He was multitasking as he was managing what his employees were doing while still helping me out with my questions. Seems like he is a great value to have at that store.

They aren't the lowest priced on items compared to big box stores but their customer service far exceeds those places too. Will absolutely be back.

I drive outta my way to go there instead. One thing that makes me so welcomed is the employees willingness to help you. They do want my business which most times its a bag of screws, bolts, nuts of which they have a big selection. Happy to go every time I'm in need of hardware store.

I returned 2 unused tomato cages, and the return was handled well with a friendly cashier. I was intending to return these cages much earlier thus appreciated they were accepted.

Staff were super helpful! After searching with an employee at another store for over an hour the day before and not coming up with the solution, I was in and out of McFarland Ace with the exact parts I needed in under 5 minutes. Thank you!

I came in looking for some bolts/nuts/washers. The associate Richard was very helpful and knew exactly what I was looking for!! So refreshing!! Outstanding customer service! Much better than going to box a big box store where almost no one knows what your looking for. True Value, don't let Richard go anywhere!!

The staff are courteous, friendly, and knowledgable. The store stocks a vast variety of items and almost always have what I need, no matter how obscure. The fasteners section is a GREAT local resource that beats what's available at the big box stores.

Edit- yesterday, for the first time in 5 years of going here for all of my home improvement, maintenance hardware, and hobby needs, they didn't have what I was looking for. And without hesitation they told me where else I should go to find what I needed, and they were exactly right. I love my home town hardware store!

I needed a tarp to put in my truck bed to pick up an item and I had snow in the truck bed so I asked to borrow a shovel and a super nice young man came out and removed the snow for me. Thank you and bless your heart. We were out of town and appreciated the kindness.

As soon as I walked in the store an employee asked me what I needed. He explained exactly where it was. I was in and out in just a couple minutes. So much better than going to Menards or Home Depot. You can beat personalized customer service like this.

Staff were amazingly friendly happy and when you asked where something was they knew exactly what aisle it was in and whether it was on the left or right side so refreshing.

Best hardware section I've seen around Madison. They have quality fasteners, nuts, washers, you name it unlike the cheap imported stuff at a near by big box store. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Check it out.

I've been shopping there regularly since 2009 before they moved locations. Staff and management are helpful and knowledgeable not only about where what you want is, but can provide direction on items, even on automotive specifics. Great local business.

Great full service hardware store. Full line Stihl dealer, equipment rentals including bobcats, extremely helpful staff. This is a newer, much larger location. All kinds of hard to find hardware, plumbing parts and electrical items in the drawers. Excelent selection of plants and garden items in warmer months. Also offer plowing in the winter.

McFarland True Value is my go to hardware store for all my projects. It doesn't matter if I drop in for one package of S hooks or for a new chainsaw, the McFarland True Value crew is always courteous and attentive. The employees are great here. You walk in the door, they instantly greet you and ask what you need. They have never not known the exact aisle that the item is in, it is great!
