Sonoma Garden Park

A wonderful project of Sonoma Ecology Center, this garden park demonstrates many different principles of natural and regenerative gardening. Full of beautiful flowers, bushes, trees, and vegetables to walk amongst, theis garden is buzzing with insects and birds.

Wonderful place to sit & sketch, educate yourself or get some very healthy native plants. Or a whole lot more.

Nice walking paths in a beautiful garden with many varieties of plants, fruit trees etc. Dogs welcome too. Small parking area.

This place is a gem! The Sonoma Ecology Center has done amazing things, and I love my garden plot here.

Peaceful and secluded spot with wonderful native, flower, and vegetable gardens. Lovely play area for children as well as shaded picnic areas.

Yes it's a lovely place to take a quiet walk through. But it's also a learning experience for both kids and adults. On Saturday mornings there is a small farmer's market where they sell what has been picked fresh over the past few days. Be aware it is in the middle of a residential neighborhood so parking can be tough at times.

Lovely gem of a garden near downtown Sonoma. We visited the day after Christmas and it was mostly empty.
There's a trail throughout the garden to take visitors through the garden, and there are multiple sign posts to direct visitors. There are many displays throughout the garden, one display was interactive.
Kids loved the little "hiding" areas in the garden. One had tree stumps and bamboo sticks.
Chicken coop was a big hit with the kids, they enjoyed picking out weeds to "feed" the chickens (not really).
We took a break in the Fig Forest - there were tree stumps and a picnic table for kids to enjoy snacks.
The barn is closed this time, and the bathroom is a porta-potty, but there is a sink and running water for hand washing.
Highly recommended for kids with little ones. The grounds could be wet so recommend wearing boots

WONDERFUL! Love everything about this place. Feel the love of earth nurturing here. Grandmother Oak is grand and awe inspiring. Every turn, every corner has a new plant, garden, tree or natural treasure to enjoy.

Beautiful picnic spot with clean tables, butterfly and community gardens, and peaceful atmosphere. Please help keep it clean by packing out what you bring in.

One of a kind park, take a self guided stroll through productive vegetable and habitat gardens with interpretive signage and pretty views of southern Sonoma valley. Farm stand is open seasonally but I don't know the details.

Amazing community garden with picnic table scattered throughout. Well maintained and a great place to stop for a picnic lunch in Sonoma!

Beautiful residential community gardens and educational center. Great place to eat your lunch, tour the gardens and get away from the over crowded Sonoma plaza .
