Larson Family Winery

Very nice family vineyard. You can bring outside food to have lunch with your tasting, and you can bring your dog. The three lab cab is very nice as is the chardonnay in steel. They have nice picnic tables as well as outdoor games to play.

“Wine god” took care of us. A refreshing hidden gem that is the exact opposite of stuck up. Really laid back and friendly with some pretty decent wines. Loved the combination of shading and sunshine. The vibes were immaculate with some easy going jams playing in the background and property dogs roaming around (people friendly). Would def come back. Felt more like a Paso Robles country side vibe than a seen-and-be-seen valley vineyard.

This is a great place to go for an afternoon of wine tasting. It's family friendly, dog friendly, and probably the most unpretentious winery in Northern California. The wines are great and the staff is super friendly. Spent the afternoon there today listening to live jazz and taking pictures.

Update: They reopened a few months ago after a fire early in the year burned the tasting room to the ground. There is currently no tasting room, but they are planning to rebuild one. They have somewhat expanded their outdoor tasting area and can seat quite a large number of people outside.

Wonderful family friendly winery! Bob is a hoot and a holler! He kept our glasses full and was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining!

We've been coming for years and love this place! The wine membership is great. They are incredibly kid friendly. Our kids love playing with the dogs. Bob takes care of us with tastings. Highly recommend!

My husband and I recently visited Larson’s Family Winery and our expectations were truly exceeded. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this place was committed to creating a family-friendly and pet-friendly environment. Which is sooo difficult to time in Sonoma or Napa. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our little boy and our dog. Bob was incredible, not just with his wine knowledge, and winery history, but just a great human being in general. We will be becoming wine club members here shortly. :) Thank you!

A must visit when in wine country. A most welcoming atmosphere and outstanding wines. Bob the Wine God shares his unique perspective on wine tasting and gives a fun history of the property. Family, pet and adult friendly. The best place to visit. We bring all our out of town guests here.

A really pleasant spot on a balmy autumn day. We wandered in on a whim, and were happy to find a friendly and unpretentious winery with plenty of nice wine. There's a great outdoor seating area with expansive views. The winery dogs were a nice bonus.

This wonderful place was my absolute favorite stop during our time in Napa/Sonoma. Nestled away in the Sonoma country side, Larson family winery is a bit off the beaten path surrounded by open vineyards and rolling hills. We got a delicious, crisp bottle of white wine from their inside tasting area, and went outside to their dog & family-friendly seating area. They had shaded tables and benches for plenty of people, and we spent the whole afternoon playing cornhole and bocce ball while enjoying our glasses of wine. I wish we'd had more time to spend here, but I absolutely plan to make this my first stop when I come to Napa/Sonoma again. You have to go visit!

Great stop in wine country! We had so much fun, Claudia was great too!! Wine and cheese was delicious, had a nice seat away from everyone in the back corner!

What a great atmosphere and environment. They had the best social distancing, great wine, fantastic food treats, and live music; oh I forgot to mention, it's dog friendly. It was the best day ever this year!

Loved it. We signed up for early tastings. We were the first to arrive and we're immediately greeted by these three most friendly labrador dogs of three different colors. They escorted us to a man who greeted us warmly and gave us a quick run down then told us to sit anywhere we liked outside. The dogs then escorted us to our table outside, only asking for pets as reward then plopped on the floor in the sun to nap. We were then served a delicious flight, really enjoyed the experience and the wines

Larson Family Winery one of the most pet/kid friendly wineries I've been to. I don't normally associate wineries and kids together, but I'm sure there are a lot of adults with kids who would love to wine taste, and feel that their kids were welcome too. Unfortunately, wineries like that are rare. Larson Family WInery is an exception.

Located in the Sonoma Valley, Larson is just down a dirt road from a major Sonoma Valley thoroughfare. The vibe is "old barn" and family is welcome. The tasting room is actually in a barn, and in the back is a large grass area, bocce ball, picnic tables and beautiful views. The vineyard is located where the Sonoma Valley meets the sloughs in Carneros. It's where the fertile valley starts to blend with the wetlands of the bay.

There is a laid back feel around the tasting room. Their motto is "What we don't drink, we sell". My last visit was Oct 28th, 2018 for the Pet Costume Contest. Gwen and I took Bagel and Jerry and just happened to win the 1st prize when Gwen dressed as Little Red Riding Hood, and Bagel as the wolf. Jerry dressed as Ceasar but did not win any awards. I dressed as a middle-aged father in cargo shorts, and Crocs, and also won no prizes.

I left with about $100 worth of wine:
1) Wingo White: a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Gewurtz, and Alberino
2) Sonoma Red: a blend of mostly Cab Sauv, Merlot, Cab Franc, Tempranillo, and other variatals
3) Sparkling Brut: a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir
4) Pinot Gris

Lovely outdoor patio. Bonus that it’s dog friendly! Bryan was super friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely go back.

Once we got past the mud and colder than anticipated temperature our family had a blast. Loved the tasting for $20, attentive service, games for kids and adults to play, dogs wandering around the property, and relaxed vibe. Will definitely be back!

Took my sister here for her Bachelorette winery tour we put together and so happy we did! We had the Wine God aka Bob as our server and he made the visit extra fun! He gave us a tour of the cellar room and took several photos for us at the end of our wine tasting! The Wine is delicious the farm is gorgeous and very family friendly! A couple of us became Wine members because every Wine we tried was that good! They also have dogs everywhere and goats that greet you at the entrance which was a plesant surprise!

My friends and I wanted to check out wine country while on a trip to San Ramon for a wedding. We are so happy that we chose Larson Family Winery. We made a reservation for the bocce court ahead of time and that was a blast! We all got flights and Bob was so fun during the entire experience. Eric, who I believe was the manager, also stopped by a few times and went above and beyond to make sure that we all had a great time. The view is unbeatable, I highly recommend checking this place out if you are in town!

Spur of the moment stop with family. Great wine and friendly staff. Great spot for pictures and for kids. They have sheep out front and A tractor as well as a grassy area outside with games. Also they loved the two pups who are always there. It was a nice break from traffic on the 12!
