Anthony's Steakhouse & Seafood

Anthony's Steakhouse on route 50 in Lake Geneva, is a definite old-school vibe steakhouse. The owner s have done a great job on retaining the old-school vibe reminiscent of the great steakhouses from the 50s and 60s. I almost thought I was going to be able to see Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin sitting at one of the Corinthian leather booths. All that matters is the food is excellent! We had the queen prime rib, salads, baked potato, and the cream of chicken soup. We also appreciate that they have a giant bar that probably could seat 35 or forty people. The drinks we ordered which included gin and tonic, Tito's and soda and some wine we're great.

This is a really good restaurant! Food is delicious and tasty. Prices are a little bit more on the expensive side, but it is absolutely worthy it. We were a party of 3 so, we decided to call and make a reservation. We were told it was not necessary. I think a reservation would have been better as the place was very busy. Still, it worked well for us. At Anthony’s, we were received by the owner who actively works there. We were sent to the bar while we waited for a table to be set up for us and also because the kitchen was backed up a bit. In the meantime, we had a drink each and in about 15-20 minutes we were sent to our table. We took our drinks with us to the table. We ordered and in about 5 minutes we were given a tray they call “relish tray”. Then, when the food came, we were also given freshly baked bread. It was awesome! Two of us ordered barbecued ribs and I ordered greek style salmon which is salmon seasoned with garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Each plate came with a side dish of your choice form a selection the restaurant offers, and a salad or soup of the day. It was potato cream soup today. All the food was incredible and super tasty! It was a lot of food, too. 2 of us had some leftovers. Then, as the food took a bit to come to the table, we were all offered a desert to go as a compensation. Only I decided to go for it and asked for a lemon mascarpone. It was brought in a to-go container. I haven’t had it yet as I’m still full from dinner, but there is a picture of it in my review. In total, we paid $130, tip included. It is important to emphasize that the service was impeccable and good despite the somewhat backed-up kitchen. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly, kind, helpful! I would definitely come back!

It’s a throwback to the old supper clubs. Dark and moody with fantastic food and wonderful service. I ordered the queen’s cut prime rib and it was enough for 3 people!! The garlic mashed potatoes were delicious too!
A relish tray with cheese spread and warm sliced bread complimented the cream of asparagus soup and salad.

Great service by Laura-great food and an all around great dining experience. From the area and dined over the years here and I’ve noticed that tank tops and flip flop dress is now the standard. Too bad since it’s a great date night or celebration venue. Filet cooked right, big potato, salad and relish tray. Really enjoyed our meal.

Retro vibe style steakhouse from the 70s had the best Filet Mignon Queen size with garlic mashed potato’s. Best steak ever.

It's like you go into the past!! In a good way!! It is comfortable, wait staff is great and the food...... Made the way you want it. They have different things than average steak houses. One example is frog legs :) I will say I didn't try them, but I will be going back. so ya never know ??? Lol

Great old school feel in this place. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was very relaxing. For the price, these days, you really get a lot of food. You won't go away hungry. Our food was prepared perfectly and the steaks and lobster just melt in your mouth. I recommend reservations as there aren't a lot of tables and booths but that's what I loved about it. It didn't feel crowded and you could actually hear each other talking in the booth at a normal speaking level. Very, very great steak and seafood house. Will definitely be back!!!

The prices aren't low but the quality is high and the portions aren't skimpy. This was the best steak I've had in the USA. The steak was cooked perfectly, the seafood is well prepared also. The staff were wonderful and down to earth; a lot of places in this price range have staff that think they are doing you a favor by letting you in the door. The portions are generous and the only thing they didn't seem to make in-house was the ketchup.

Stopped by on a hand-written note attached to a menu in our B&B and couldn't have been more pleased! The steak was fantastic with huge portions, but the star of the show was a creamy French onion soup that was the best we'd ever had! Our server Kat was knowledgable not only about menu items but also the history of the restaurant--she even sat down with us to answer our questions! We *highly* recommend eating at Anthony's!

I'll miss Anthony's. It was always a superb experience in supper club dining. So many memories over the nearly 30+ years I've been there. Great food, great people and fantastic service. I'll treasure the times I was there always.

Got the salmon Greek style and it was amazing. Our drinks never went completely empty staff were right there to swap it for a fresh one. And the atmosphere is nostalgic with the old style restaurant and customer service we used to have.

The family went there to eat last night and our twin toddlers for the first time ever decided they didn’t want to eat and were extremely crabby. We’ve always loved the steak here. But last night the staff were just huge saints!! They’ve always welcomed us like and treated us like family. But I have to say from the very bottom of my heart. THANK YOU ALL SO SO MUCH! We went early and they said you guys go ahead and eat we’ll give the kids a tour. So they just walked around with my twins. I am so thankful to all of you!! I love the steak and lobster!! Last night I also found three new favorites!! The ribs and the fried chicken wings and the cream chicken and rice soup. YUMMMM!!

Classic ambiance, old school dinner club. A real gem you might be tempted to pass, but don't! The food was outstanding , the staff attentive. Best ribeye I've ever had and my wife had a fantastic white fish. We will definitely be back!

Always a favorite stop when visiting the area. We brought a party of 10 this time and service was just as awesome as when my husband and I dine alone. Wonderful food, French onion soup and filet - many in the party had prime rib. Everything was wonderful as usual!

Upscale place with my favorite steak in town. I'm in Illinois, when I'm in Lake Geneva area I always go here. Great service, I've been in many times and haven't had a bad experience. Very nice owners. My bf thought the lighting was too dark but I was fine with it.

We ended up here after another restaurant had too long of a waiting time. It was a pleasant surprise. The food was delicious. Our server was very good, attentive but not overly so. It had an old school vibe. We loved it!

Ive been to Anthonys for steaks and fishfrys for around 10yrs now. Id say at least 6X a year. Never dissappointed always impressed! I do miss the days of the $11.95 all you can eat fishfry fridays but they still serve large portions. I recomend eating at Anthonys if you are in the area.
