Can say anything bad about Fitchburg Housing Authority. All I could say is thank you housing for helping family in need and forgiven them a place to lay their head

Small round about hard to pick up people in wheel chairs.

These people are crazy. My sec 8 app comes up after 12 years, I fill out the papers sent like an application, and submit massive amounts of docs, yet they need more, ongoing for 6 months they ask for more papers, we need recent bank statements, mail that in, we need current lease (which they have) mail that in, we need copy of this and that, mail that in, its something else, like a child playing a game, -cant- tell me everything they need -all at once-, they keep scrutinizing, they made me fill out a paper declaring the citizenship of children I DONT HAVE. Would not accept Non Applicable. Had to put "US Citizen by birth does not exist!" They're just scrutinizing trying to find a reason not to give you a voucher. They don't give you a full list of any additional docs they need. Its one thing, then you're told its another thing, this has gone on for months. I said cancel. They didn't respect that and contacted my landlord after I verbally told them not to over the phone, to get lease information. Im white and American by birth btw so no surprise that im not given priority or special treatment sad but true. They show favoritism to hispanics entirely. All 5 star ratings are from them. Fact. 2012 I applied and already people from 2013 got their vouchers somehow Im forever at the bottom somehow theres this forever endless need for more papers 50 bucks worth of copies of documents.

I want to give zero score for this office but I had to choose score 1. This office has rude staff. Two ladies there are very rude and they work closely with inspector Joe. Joe is very rude and nasty toward landlords. Joe was a failed landlord. He sold all his rental properties 6-7 years ago when the market was low. Joe cannot be a landlord so that he wants all landlords fail. Joe gave very hard time toward landlords who want to rent their properties to section 8 tenants from Fitchburg Housing. A lot of landlords complained about Joe. The Fitchburg Housing office only has contract with Joe and only uses Joe as the sole inspector for section 8 housing from this office. They work together closely to give landlords very hard time. And to make it worse, landlords have no other choice to change to another home inspector. Therefore Joe is arrogant and very harsh on landlords. I am a landlord with multiple section 8 apartments. I don't mind fixing apartments. But I do mind the mean way Joe treats me. We landlords deserve respect. Those people are very mean and unable for landlord to work with. They make section 8 voucher holders have very difficult time in finding section 8 housing.

They are slack of communication I been trying to reach section 8 and they haven’t respond to any of my emails or calls
