Pickity Place

Had a great lunch today. Everything was delicious. I had mocha spiced coffee to drink, delicious. I chose chicken cordon blue for the entree and the chicken was moist and the cheese sharp, just the way I like it. After lunch I visited the gift shop to stock up on my favorite loose leaf tea blends and my friend stocked up on her favorite sea salts and spice blends. As always a great experience.

Visited here after a very long time since our last...let me tell you they haven't skipped a beat!

We had the February offering 5 course menu...changes every month!
Excellent service, delicious offerings prepared perfectly.

They do offer a very limited kids menu, but honestly my grandkids loved everything we had!

I loved Pickity Place. And Poppy the Cat just chillin on a shelf of the gift shop was so bizarre that it just put a cherry on the whole thing. A must-try restaurant.

Pickity is such a special place. My daughters love exploring the property, checking in on the fairy houses and wandering the store for fun things to bring home.The food menus are unique and delicious. I love the use of fresh herbs in the dishes. We’ve been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. The waitstaff is also very friendly.

The food was absolutely delicious and the price is unbeatable! The hosts and waitresses are absolutely fantastic. Both courteous and polite. Would recommend! I can’t wait to go again!

I have been going to Pickity Place for years. It is the perfect spot for a quaint luncheon date. The setting is right out of a storybook- "The Little Red Riding Hood," in fact. You will be greeted by one or more friendly cats as you walk the path around the gardens, leading to the 2 giftshops brimming with local goods. The food always tastes lovingly prepared, using fresh herbs and seasonal vegetables grown on site. They offer a 5 course menu with 2 entree selections, a vegetarian, and a meat option. The menu changes monthly, so there's always a new dish to try (and fall in love with). They offer 3 timely seatings daily, be sure to make a reservation! Enjoy! 🪻🌿

Wow.. JUST WOW!! Honestly the best food I have ever had! So fresh and the flavors are remarkable. The atmosphere of the whole establishment is just unbeatable and like no other. I can’t rave enough about this place. Each meal I have had here has been so well put together and just want to say THANK YOU to the amazing chefs. I also have to say Amanda is such a great server! We have had her the last two times and she is the sweetest! Very pleasant and attentive. All the staff is great and welcoming. The Strawberry basil lemonade is to die for!!! Can’t say enough on how great our experiences were at Pickity place :) Will be back every month!!!

What a magical place! Beautiful gardens, fabulous lunch menu utilizing the many fresh herbs grown here and interesting gift shop with unusual items and plants. The set menu changes each month and uses the lovely flavors of the season. Prepared delightfully, presented with flair in the little house that was the inspiration for “grandma’s house” in one authors edition of the Little Red Riding Hood story. Reservations are necessary for one of the 3 seatings. You won’t be disappointed!

Went today for lunch and it was absolutely amazing! All the food was wonderful and was even able to accommodate and provide me sorbet for dessert due to an allergy! We made sure to pick up bottles of the mango lemonade and lavender lemonade in the gift shop to take home!

This place is a real gem. I watched one of the prep cooks harvesting herbs to use in the meal. The food is amazing! The staff is quite nice.
The price is a bit high for me to go more than every once in awhile. The menu changes every month and is based on what is seasonably available.

I love Pickety Place. The food is consistently wonderful. I've been 3 times, and I am never disappointed. The staff is wonderful, and very welcoming. You can tell they love working there. I live about an hour away, but it is definitely worth the drive over the river and through the woods to eat at grandmother's house.

Love this place, had the best lunch, braised short ribs with blueberry compote, oh ya 😋! Deeeliscious. Mango tea was wonderful, service was wonderful, atmosphere was magical! Dessert I'm still talking about! It's a must go..reservation recommended.

Travellers, Pickety place is a special experience and a jewel of a restaurant in Mason NH. It is a busy place and waiting can be challenging. But there is a lot to see while you wait. You will need a reservation. Your reservation will be for a seating. You check in at the restaurant if you are early for your seating then you can explore the delightful shops surrounding the restaurant. There is a lot to see. This is the house, built in 1786, that is the setting for Little Red Riding Hood’s grandmothers house in the woods. You can see the house in antique copies of the book Little Red Riding Hood from 1948. It is very charming. The menu is the same for the entire month. There are several courses, a dip and crackers, soup, salad, entree, roll with butter, and dessert. It was all very delicious. I had the beef Wellington as an entree that day and it was delicious. The broccoli cheddar soup was yummy too. It was a well crafted meal. The service was with a smile. It was a wonderful way to have a holiday celebration with friends. Check it out. We recommend.

Visiting and dining at Pickity Place is a unique and delightful experience. In regard to the dining, the taste and presentation of their selections is superb. The service is top notch. It is amazing how they are able to serve so many people so efficiently and expertly every day. They emphasize the connection of their establishment with the original Red Riding Hood illustrations, which is an enchanting theme. Many people we spoke with indicated that they make visiting Pickity Place a recurring experience; sometimes as often as once a month since that is the cycle of their changing menu. We will definitely be back again. Be forewarned, however, that getting there requires travelling some rough dirt roads for several miles.

Absolutely quintessential new England vibe with fantastic food. Not allergen friendly but considerate and will ask if you have a concern. Cute gift shops too and loved the gardens. They also support local artists and businesses. Real cute!

Pickity Place is an experience and a truly wonderful one. Reservations are highly recommended. Absolutely amazing food and very friendly staff. Love the gift shop with something for everyone! Beautiful gardens throughout the property. If you're a 'foodie' you will really enjoy this gem.

Pickety Place is a really special dining experience. Not only is the location beautiful (it truly is out of a storybook), but the food is wonderfully crafted with the utmost care. The variety of fruited lemonade and teas are pure delight on a summer afternoon. The bread for June with the lemon butter was phenomenal! We had such a nice lunch. Even my youngest, 11, who ordered "grandmother's basket," which contained a sandwich, said the offering was tasty. He is a picky eater and ate his food and part of the adult entrées, stating, "I didn't realize the pork would be this tender and delicious.

This is our third visit to Pickety Place. It is an hour drive from our home and completely worth it. There is a garden shop and beautiful flower gardens to explore. The put fresh herbs and flowers in the dishes, which is a special touch.

The monthly menu comes with a choice of a vegetarian or meat option, and both were delicious. You also will receive soup, salad, bread, cheese and crackers, with dessert for a very reasonable price considering the care that goes into the preparation.

We can't wait to return to Pickety Place again.

We met two of the most adorable garden cats, Lily and Poppy, my daughter couldn't have been more excited!

The staff has always been welcoming and helpful with questions on plants.

The most adorable gift shops, wide selection in the greenhouse. The one thing I have not had the opportunity for is the restaurant, but based on smell alone while touring the gardens it is well worth the reservation!

This place is an amazing place to take someone for an intimate dinner and romantic experience. We had a blast and loved the food and staff. The gift shops are awesome. Great spot to take pictures. The dining area is very small with few tables and is candle lit. Food is served in courses and the menu changes monthly. Highly recommend this to couples and even small families that love intimate venues.
