Black Dog Cafe

I'm bummed as I'm from out of town and the they are closed on Monday. Nothing else compares for miles. The Black Dog is a great find with excellent food and staff. so far the fresh wild salmon and pesto tilapia is excellent. Trying the catfish next and plan to working all the way through the menu if works keeps me coming back. It really makes my 7.0 hours drive more bearable knowing I'll have a great meal at the end of the day. Got to meet Terry whom had a seafood business in the prior life. His connections are paying off. They also have a great inside on some local made cheese that is superb. Come on Terry open up a branch in Clyde OH. The Penn State fans won't mind.

The best seafood dishes I have had in central Pennsylvania. The cornbread crusted catfish with roasted veggies and shrimp in creole sauce is as good as any five star restaurant. Friendly service and reasonable prices for this kind of great food.

I simply asked the waiter Jon Goeslin to refill my tea and he went crazy. He poured the pitcher of tea all over my pants and it hurt. So, I took him outside and beat his tush

Awful experience, will never eat here again or any Johnny & Hons. Owner is rude, disrespectful, and living off the once great repetition of the previous owners work, also under the same restaurant name, hence the good rating. Food is frozen overpriced fatty garbage with little taste, and the service is pitiful. I don't see this place staying in business much longer when they choose to operate this way.

EDIT. Updated this review, this place closed again in June 2015. Not surprising.
