Hilton Richmond Downtown

Stayed over Memorial Day weekend for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. Rooms are clean, the restaurant Gather and Hem is open late and has a great cocktail selection and small bites to enjoy. I would recommend their Orange Crush and sliders! Hotel location is also perfect. We were able to walk or Uber to local restaurants and attractions like the James River Pipeline, Hotel Greene, Secret Sandwich Society, Penny Lane Pub. Check in/out was super smooth and valet is included!

We had an outstanding visit at the Richmond Hilton. Everyone was highly polite, professional and courteous. The Valet staff is the best in Richmond. From the time we pulled up they were on point. Met a young man named Angel and he did a spectacular job as well as everyone there. This hotel comes highly recommended

This hotel is close to the convention center. The staff is very friendly and professional. The rooms are clean and there are a lot of restaurants within walking distance. I’ve stayed here twice while in town for an event. I traveled to Richmond by train. Upon my arrival I called the concierge desk and the shuttle service picked me up from the train station and also provided transportation to a restaurant within a mile from the hotel. There is an on-site hotel run restaurant and also an independently owned bar/restaurant on-site. The food and drinks at both were great.

Anyone not giving this Hilton a 5 star rating, is working for the competition! I was attending a workshop in downtown Richmond Feb 29, 2024 and booked my stay at the Hilton on Broad Street. Everyone I encountered at the Hotel was very pleasant. The hotel itself is exquisite. Beds were comfortable and the shower pressure was worth every penny of my stay! My only regret is leaving my swimsuit at home. Loved having valet parking knowing my car was well taken care of too.

Excellent place to stay! Everyone on staff is lovely especially the valet staff - Angel and Chad were such a joy to interact with each pickup and drop off of my car! Highly recommend this hotel and just to say Hi to the valet staff.

I am going to start with the awesome. Benjamin was a wonderful concierge and Angel was a wonderful valet! Hotel was in a great spot. Room was clean and ready several hours early. The not so awesome. No diamond member perks whatsoever. Executive lounge was shut down. No diamond parking spots. No arrival water or snacks. Parking was $41 for a night or you had to go park somewhere else. Double Hilton in Norfolk. Room was dark with only one small window. Again Hilton chose the 50lb rock pillows. Would I stay again? Yes I would. Do I wish they would change a few things? Sure. Any of it enough to discourage someone from staying? No. Small complaints but not enough to turn anyone or myself away in the future.

My go to in Richmond. Hotel is comfy and clean and the service is the best. Great staff. Shout out to Candace who has gone the extra mile more than once to make sure every stay is a great stay.

Nice hotel with comfortable beds. We had breakfast downstairs which had a limited menu, but it was solid.

As a Diamond member I expect better customer service. You will receive no extra perks or thanks for being one. Very sad to be loyal to one hotel chain and don't experience the perks.

I feel like it’s unfair to judge this place, or anywhere really, based on reviews during COVID restrictions. Our experience in Nov. 2023 was great. We arrived around 8 pm on a Friday night and had no problem with valet parking or getting into our room. The valet guys were super nice to our kids, even giving them rubber duckies from the hotel. Our room was huge and well-maintained and I love that they have adopted texting and QR codes for requesting housekeeping and even getting your car from the valet. Tipping housekeeping via the QR code does not incur a fee, but the one for valet does, so we just used cash for them. I would advise skipping the breakfast (which is not included in the room price) as it’s nothing worth spending extra money on and there are plenty of great places to get food nearby in downtown. Also, be aware that the indoor pool does not seem to be heated, but the hot tub was great and there’s huge faux outdoor courtyard (it has a high glass roof) that’s great for hanging out with a larger group or bringing back some takeout. We’ve stayed in a couple of other downtown hotels in Richmond, but this was much better in just about every way, and much better than the overall impression I got from reading older reviews.

We had a great stay on 8/26 at the Hilton Richmond Downtown. My Fiance and I thought the room was fantastic. We were on the executive floor, and although the lounge was closed the room was spacious, had a good view, comfy bed, and beautiful bathroom. When we arrived our room was late being cleaned, and while we were concerned we were going to be late for our evening plans Jason at the front desk was so kind and helpful to get a room ready for us in time. I went to breakfast alone Sunday morning and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely stay again!!

Location right by the convention center. In the heart of Downtown Richmond. Empty stores in beautiful and historic buildings. Edgy vibe to the eateries around the neighborhood. Tons of police officers since the homeless roam the street. Hotel is very nice, accommodates dogs. Limited breakfast offerings in the hotel. Nice restaurant and bar. Will stay again when in the area. Parking under the street so you probably have to pay for it. Public parking across the street.

We had a company gathering and I can say the front desk employee was very helpful in letting us know where to go as we entered the building and the food was wonderful the salmon was awesome and the cook did his thing with the cornbread we all went back for seconds !!!

I truly enjoyed every part of my stay!!! Completely WOW’s by how big the rooms were with its tall ceilings! Staff from valet to front desk to F&B were all pretty awesome! One little tip for future bookers out there… the layout is very much so like a horseshoe so preference should be for a room closer to the elevators. We were the furthest away from the elevators and it is quite the hike from room to elevator unless you’re on the 2nd floor with the pool where there’s a shortcut! Also, there are no microwaves in rooms but they are located right off the elevators in the vending areas!

Awesome experience! We love staying at Hilton because of the amazing experience and how the hotel really values its guests and does everything they can to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. The hotel was clean, very well light and had friendly employees everywhere waiting to greet you and see if you need anything. The rooms are very large and spacious. I liked how wide and well light the hallways were. You do have to use valet parking, so be prepared. Great location, walking distance to shopping and restaurants.

Excellent hotel, a true Hilton standard. It is in a historic building. The room had high ceilings and windows. The courtyard and pool area in the center of the hotel is awesome. Not one thing to complain about. Highly recommend.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! This was our first time staying at this hotel. The staff provided excellent service, and was very accommodating with all of our needs. The rooms were top notch clean. The valet parking was great. I highly recommend this hotel!
