Regal New River Valley

We saw Dune 2 in the ScreenX theater, which has a 270° view so some of the film is shown on either side of the main screen. I honestly wasn't a fan of that feature, we were sitting pretty close and it made me feel like I was missing things by not being able to see the whole screen. I'll probably choose a normal screen next time but it's cool they offer new ideas and reclining seats. We have to travel in from Roanoke as our theaters there don't even have reclining seats yet! Fun theater experience, bathrooms were clean and the entire place seemed in pretty good shape.

Reclining seats with built-in trays. I live two hours away and may drive there just to watch amovie.
The only negative is the typical movie, hot dogs etc.....

Very nice theater. Like the reclining seats and tables. The person selling the tickets assisted my wife in picking her best seats. And someone was sitting in them when we got there. Glad they moved.

Always clean and has great friendly staff with good concessions. The bar is great and I was surprised that they have a rotation of cocktails based around currently playing movies. Creative drinks that were fun and tasty.

It has decent seating. The there's are good as well. There are a bunch of restaurants near the theater so that you can eat as well. There is connectivity of BT Transit as well, which takes you to Virginia Tech campus. It is at a great location.

Regal New River Valley is perfectly tucked between Christiansburg and Blacksburg, VA! When I went, they had great young staff, with big smiles and they were all super responsive to me as a customer. The facility is clean. They have an RPX theater inside for movies like “Maverick: Top Gun”, and each theater has the reclining leather seats with moveable trays for your concessions. If you are Regal Unlimited member PLEASE NOTE this theater requires an upgrade to “PLUS” status or you will get an additional $1.50 surcharge/per ticket. **In order to upgrade membership classification, you need to actually call Corporate in Nashville, TN, cancel existing services….and THEN you can upgrade via the Regal app. Other then that obnoxious process, Regal continues to make theater going a pleasant experience!!

Movie theater is awesome !!! Love the seats and atmosphere. If I'm gonna pay movie prices then this is the Theatre I'm going to .

I was very pleasantly surprised at the comfort of watching a movie here. With the bar, my own tray table and cup holder, and the plush leather recliners. I will admit that if the movie doesn't hold my attention, I will fall asleep.

Layered butter popcorn. Ice cream. Comfortable, spacious, reclining seats. Buy tickets online.

What can I say....reclining chair!!! This was the most comfortable movie theater in have been to in a long time. Place was very clean. The food was good. The chairs even had a moving table to put your food on. Even my husband wanted to watch another movie and he hates going to the movie theater. Go now you won't be disappointed!

We have the unlimited pass, so watch movies on an almost weekly basis. They are mostly friendly and accommodating. Some of them know our concessions order when they see us coming. It is clean for the most part, but the bathrooms have had the same drinks not working for years.

Nice, clean theater with comfortable seating. Liked it better when you bought tickets at a separate counter than food. But I guess that's what they all do now.

Awesome theater! Nice recliner seats.

This has always been a great place to watch movies. The recliner seats are very nice, and the screen and sound quality are top-notch, particularly in the premium-format auditoriums (RPX and especially ScreenX). I've always thought they have a good staff as well. On the super rare occasion when an issue comes up (maybe twice out of the many dozens of times I've been), they do an excellent job taking care of it. Also high marks for the concessions food, though way overpriced. Overall, Regal Christiansburg is my happy place.

Love the recliners with table and cup holder even though it does make it difficult for me to stay awake. Nothing like the older theaters where you had to share the arm rest and hoped someone tall didn't sit in front of you. The price is much more than the older theaters but worth it for the comfort.

I love to go to the movies here! We drive from Roanoke and it is definitely worth it. Cozy, reclining seats. Great sound and picture! I will never go to a regular theater again!

Super nice. I hadn't been to the movies in about 15 years. I couldn't believe how much it's all changed. They have recliners and a table with a cup holder. It's all so clean. The prices are higher but worth it for the comfort. The new screen is great. I can't remember what it was called but definitely worth the few extra dollars.

The price for me is worth the experience here. The reclining seats are so comfortable plenty enough room to sit and get comfortable. The snacks I can't speak for but the options just from what I could see are decent enough for me if my pockets were lined with the spare cash to afford it. My advice would be to eat before going to see a movie unless you love popcorn and sweets.
