Island Ocean Star

First time, and I can't wait to go back. Came ONLY for the sushi and left happy and full. Great service and yummy drinks!

Ohhhh the pomegranate margarita was delish. I came here for the first time with my daughter for her birthday we both love sushi. This place was amazing and the sunset view by the water was well worth it.

Had an amazing sushi dinner here on vacation. Cocktails were awesome as well. Our server was super friendly, attentive with great recommendations and gave us great service all around. Our sushi was top notch especially the fatty tuna, lobster roll and Philadelphia roll. Cucumber salad and gyoza was great too. Will be back!

Good to go early. Fills up fast and you might wait if you don’t have a reservation. Our waitress was fantastic explaining which fish was which on my sushi dinner, which was delicious! Hibachi filet was also fantastic. My only small complaint was miso soup and green tea only tepid not hot.

Got there about 6:15 on Saturday eve. Hostess asked if we had reservations. We didn't. They had room but by 6:30 place was full. Get reservations. Waiter was great. Very attentive but not too much. We shared 3 rolls. Was plenty. The volcano is a must have. Thought prices were reasonable. Most rolls came as 6 pieces. They are cut bigger than what I considered normal. Thought it was a good value. Best thing about this place is the setting. What a fantastic view. Would come here again.

The best tuna avocado roll I’ve ever had. Melts in your mouth. It’s not on the menu, you have to ask for it. The sushi chef manager, Ben, is very friendly and funny. Highly recommended!

Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Food was great and fresh. Cocktails were spot on. My fiancé is a vegan and they had plenty of options on the menu for her. Great experience!

We ordered out here twice in our 10 day visit to AMI. Loved the sushi and the fresh fish from the coast (as opposed to the midwest). Our favorite was the Fire Roll topped with a tuna tartar, but everything was good! Quick turn around on to go orders and looks like a great view for dine in if it wasn't for covid

I must admit that we were a bit hesitant to try Ocean Star because of the negative reviews. I must say, I'm glad we ignored them and went. The food was terrific, and the service excellent. I suppose every restaurant has an off day here or there. But I'm glad we ignored the haters. The Sashimi Platter was to die for by the way.

Best sushi place ever! Never disappointed and always fresh. Been going to Ocean Star for the past 20 years!

-employees were very nice and greeted me as soon as I walked through the door
-the restaurant is beautiful and the view is amazing
-best miso soup I’ve ever had and the sushi was delicious
-just vacationing here but I will definitely be coming back before I leave and again when I come back!

This is one of the best spots to get sushi in the area! The staff and location are great just be careful of all the traffic now! Also the drinks are nice and strong!!!

Unique and delicious. Best for lunch on the deck over the water or dinner in a cozy booth. The Boat of sushi is crazy big, perfect for a large party.

I ate at the Sushi bar, and there is a regular bar just behind which was very loud. I believe these are boaters just coming in after fishing possibly. The sushi was fantastic and the sushi chef was great. The sashimi pieces were large, the sake (unfilterd cold) was exactly what I expected. Rolls were excellent also. Will bring my wife when she is town next time.

Super fresh! Right on the water, with great views... You can even pull your boat into the marina and dock up while you eat... Fair prices and great service. Worth the trip to the end of the island...

Diamond in the rough!! Sushi is always iffy when traveling. This place had awesome drinks, food, and the service was amazing. We sat outside and enjoyed the view.

Great service. Food well made. Pricey as heck, but I can tell they invest that money in the quality of the staff, chefs, and ambiance. Highly recommend, but make sure your mortgage/rent is already paid before you come. But I really like it there and have been back a few times. Really good way to impress a date or something.

Great Restaurant. Tasty Sushi. Very Very clean restaurant. Seth and Fumi was very helpful with choosing what to get and was a great waiter!! Came back another time and will be sure to come by here every time we come back to the island!!

Fresh and delicious sushi. Very nice atmosphere with gorgeous water views and outdoor dining on Bimini Bay. Highly recommend!
