Zom Hee Chinese Restaurant

Easily the best Chibese restaurant in my 27 years venturing to Florida and the Tampa/St Pete area. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and of course delicious food. Opens for lunch, but closes at 2:30 until dinner hours. I enjoyed a wonderful curry chicken dish and my wife the sweet and sour chicken.

I love this place! I love the 80s decor, the fun cocktails and old school vibe of a New England Chinese dine in. I’m thankful I found this place a couple years ago, I’ve been numerous times since. The wonton soup has actual pork slices and pea pods(rather than just a wonton), the bbq ribs are meaty and tender, though boneless are my personal fav and more like char sui-must pair w/ real hot mustard(not in the clear packets), lastly the pork fried rice is delicious w/ the perfect amount of soy sauce(not the yellow “fried rice” they serve in FL). They were recently voted best in FL for Cantonese style…they aren’t wrong. So good!

Parking lot out front, early bird specials from 4-6pm. Lunch specials Mon-Fri between 12-3pm. Great ambience inside and very nice staff.

Love that they give you crisp noodles to start, plenty of duck sauce, and hot tea.

Food isn’t the best ever but it fits the bill, it’s better than many Chinese food places, and the all around experience + flavors hit the spot. Also, they have great wonton soup!

Decided to try Zom Hee tonight and from start to finish my experience was divine. I couldn’t remember my waiters name, but big boss was a young hustler and he made sure everything went smooth.

Dropping hot tea and fried noodles at the table with water when you first get sat is a classy move. It tells me they mean business and this is going to be authentic. The restaurant is investing in the customer experience with this move, I see you Zom Hee!

The soup was so good, it made me want to lick the bowl. I got mixed wonton and egg drop as well as a separate egg roll. I’m sure I’ll upset someone with this, but pro tip…dip that mfing egg roll in egg drop soup and thank me later.

Both have eggs, it just makes sense.Eggggcellent !! XD

My main was General Tso’s with a decent spice level and it was the best I ever had. I almost ordered some bubbly to pop after trying that because in that moment I was truly winning. Like any self respecting man would do, I swapped my white rice for fried rice. The rice was slightly dry, but still so delicate. Each grain was lightly dancing on my pallet.

Makes sense why this place has been here for over 38 years, it’s just a great and unique experience. I was extremely full after dinner and was stoked to see a massage parlor next door so I popped in to round out my night. Just a great Sunday in Seminole!

Server was the sweetest lady. We both got the Mandarin style pork and the meat was so tender and delicious. Spice level was on point because the server asked us how spicy we wanted it. Very pleased. Hot and sour soup and wonton soup were great as well. Even the little dish of cucumbers was sweet and yummy. Highly recommend!

I went here for the first time with my family and I was blown away by the quality of the food. They automatically serve hot tea after you are seated. The staff is very pleasant and cheerful and the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. We weren’t rushed to order and it was just overall a very enjoyable meal. Highly recommend!

Zom Hee was justed voted Best Asian Restaurant in Florida. We @sjleespam had to go. It did not disappoint and just might be the best asian restaurant. The staff shared that they haven't been as busy in years. So be patient with staff yet the food will be worth the wait.

Authentic and beautiful Chinese sit down spot! Seafood was fresh, and the crab rangoons were so crispy. Can’t wait to come back soon!

We are locals and have had Chinese food all over Pinellas county. This was our first time at Zom Hee. It did not disappoint! We won't be going anywhere else now! Great food, wonderful service, and affordable with huge portions! Awesome place and I personally loved the atmosphere!

On a scale of 5 stars, I typically rate restaurants by their category and comparable completion. A Chinese restaurant can be 5 stars while a high end steak house can be 4 stars. The Chinese restaurant may not be better than the steakhouse, but compared to other Chinese, Thai or similar restaurants, it can be superior.

For Chinese, this is by far the best one I have been to in a long time. Service was great. And food was good quality and fresh. Atmosphere is great compared to almost any other shopping center restaurant.

I planned a surprise 50th wedding anniversary dinner gathering yesterday for a party of 25 guests. The friendly servers were absolutely AMAZING & so attentive to our requests; and the owner/manager was very accommodating! Our guests were so pleased with the delicious dishes they were served. This is our favorite restaurant and we will continue to frequent Zom Hee!

Best Chinese food within a 1,000 mile radius. Warm family environment and staff. Nowhere else compares to the Legendary Zom Hee. There is not one meal here you won't like.

Took us 18 years to find enjoyable Chinese food in st.Pete’s. This place is it! The Chicken wings alone are awesome. The egg foo has thick brown egg foo gravy! All the dishes have very good serving of the meat not protein of your choice!

We all love ZomHee. We had our Red Hat Birthday party and had a table of 10. Our server Janet was wonderful and even helped serve the cake and took pictures for us.

Great food. Great service. 12.95 early bird special can’t be beat. It even comes with wine. I how ever opt out on the wine . They also serve free hot tea. I had the # E which was the pork lomain and it was delicious. They have the best egg rolls very crispy and not greasy at all. My hubs had the general tos chicken and by the looks of his empty plate I’d say he kind of liked it. Great family owned business. Wish we were in town longer to enjoy it again.

Great experience every time. The food is second to none, and the staff are very patient and courteous. One of my regular spots.

Update: Been here many times after this, and I can firmly say that the service as well as the quality of food is always consistent. One of my favorite places.

Was here a few times while taking care of my father during the Month I was there. Food was amazing and the best I have had in a long time. Employees were all great and management and staff went above and beyond trying to get something that my father left behind after we had moved him over to Vero. Definitely recommend trying this restaurant!!

Best authentic Chinese food I’ve ever had! The whole restaurant is an experience from the delicious well portioned fresh ingredient food, the staff and the decor; are all spectacular. This place is a true treasure!!!!!!

Fabulous food and service. The tiki drinks were a perfect compliment to the meal. It’s exactly everything we came for…tea, pickled cucumber, wonderful soup, and delicious entrees. Worth the drive from Tampa!
