Resonate Church

My family has been worshiping at Resonate for several weeks but we immediately knew that we found our new church after much searching.

We have been so blessed to find a place that has such diversity, there is a awesome mix of young, old, single and couples as well as many young families. It is very clear that ministering to children is dear to their heart, and children are not "sent away from adult church", but are worshiping and learning just like the adults.

Most importantly, Pastor Jesse's preaching is expository and thoroughly dives into God's Word. You walk away feeling God's unfiltered truth, but also love and community.

I absolutely LOVE this church. I recently moved to Janesville from Chicago, where I've been attending the same church for over 20 years. I personally find it hard to find another church after so many dedicated years. I started attending Resonate church about a month ago and was immediately warmly welcomed. I started a life group the same week and was overwhelmed with the love for God that the attendees had. I truly feel like I've been accepted into the church family and all the members and regular attendees are super sweet and very God driven people. I wish I could give this church 10 stars. Highly recommend coming here to worship. You will definitely meet the most amazing, God honoring people. I'm very blessed to call Resonate my new home church. 🤍

I have been lucky enough to call Resonate my church home for about 5 years. My family went through a period of time where we were struggling to find a church home. We went to many churches but it never really fit. We attended my grandmas church one Sunday where we were told about a church plant that was starting in our home town. We reached out to the pastor who invited our family to dinner so that we could get to know his family. This is just one example of how the pastor shows how much he cares for the congregation. When we visited the church there was something so different from the others and I have seen it grow even more throughout the years. The love and community that is present is unlike anything I’ve seen before. We felt welcomed from the moment that we came in and the love for God is so evident in the worship, preaching, and community!

I choose to go to Resonate for so many reasons!! The biggest reasons are that they are willing to teach and preach EVERY verse in Gods Word!! Jesse doesn’t back down from the tough subjects!! He preaches from the heart and what God has lead him to share with us! Does he “step on my toes” during his sermons? Absolutely!! I don’t want to be part of a church that only tells me what I want to hear or what makes me “feel” good! I have felt loved and a part of this church since the first day that I entered the doors. The people of this church are so special!! Come try us out!! God is doing great things with His people here!!

The vision statement of Resonate Church is “Reaching out to build genuine relationships for Christ and Janesville”. They do this by creating an atmosphere of home where there is a feeling of belonging and a desire to be a part of what God is doing there and in the city of Janesville.
They are a great church family, and they love the community too.
From the moment you are warmly welcomed by a smiling face and an opened door to the coffee cafe and a hot or cold beverage to the entrance of the meeting space, you will know they are glad you are there. Worship and the preaching of the Word will bring the Joy of the Lord to your heart and you will leave wanting to overflow your relationship with Jesus onto other people and bring them home as well.

Wow! I cannot believe we are celebrating 5 years as a church! I have been here as the Worship Pastor for most of that time! Not only are we seeing numerical growth, but people are growing deep in their faith and there truly is a sense of family here! it takes time for an Oak tree to grow big and strong. When it is young, it faces many challenges from all the elements and may have a hard time withstanding them. Sometime that tree has to be pruned to be healthy. With time, that Oak grows and learns to feed well from its roots that grow deep into God's Word. So it is with the church. We are working toward being that kind of church. Although we are not perfect, we desire to serve God who is and we do that by serving each other!

Blessed, blessed and blessed. Oh, and did I mentioned blessed? That is how my family and I feel to be at Resonate. We were part of another church and always felt that the Lord wanted us there as long as we lived in Janesville and were not at all looking to make a change. Due to several circumstances and the Lord's leading, we started attending Resonate Church and became members less then a year later. We are so excited about what God has been, is currently doing and will continue to do on the westside of Janesville and way beyond. We look forward to being a part of it all as the Lord leads.

I have been attending church my entire life and am thankful for my Godly upbringing and all of the connections I have made along the way. That being said, I have never been to a place nearly as friendly as Resonate. It is not just a surface friendliness. either. We really do life together. Of course, this is not forced on anyone, but if someone is even casually looking for Christian friendships and a place to plug in to share their gifts and talents, Resonate is certainly the place!

I am thankful for Pastor Jesse and Hoyt's expository teaching and for the encouragement to follow Christ in my home and in my vocation.

I've been attending Resonate since it's beginning, and have loved the family atmosphere and real world, honest, word of God preaching that Pastor Jesse does. If you're looking for a church that will love you and guide you in your walk with God, without all the fluff and fanfare, then this is the place you should be!

My family has been attending Resonant for over 2 years now. Every Sunday is a little bit different. Our 3 pastors Jesse Beernink, Hoyt Lovelace, and Tim Davila have helped me grow in my faith. I’m very grateful for the people in our church. I also can’t believe we are celebrating 5 years of ministry. PRAISE THE LORD!!!

I've called Resonate my home for many years now. And not just the building, although it is very nice, but the people! They stand by Resonates motto to "build genuine relationships" its very unlike any other church you'll walk into. You don't feel judged if you walk in with a sweatshirt and jeans on, or ask for two cups of coffee at the complimentary Cafe ;) The sermons will always leave you with a full page of notes and things to ponder throughout the week. No fluff stuff here. The leadership at Resonate strive to give God glory in all they do and its evident in how they come along side one another and only seek to build one another up. There are no perfect religious people here, just people filled with the Joy of Christ wanting to share it with everyone they meet. One thing I hear a lot from visitors that come to Resonate is that, "it feels so homey and relaxed" and it's true. It feels like home.

I was involved as a volunteer to help out when this church was just starting up. The pastor once sent me a "prayer" for Trump from a far-right youtube channel that was more of a propaganda spiel than it was a prayer. When I tried to suggest that support/glorification of Trump might not be the best thing for a pastor to be sharing around in light of all the ways his person and policies contradict Christian principles like neighborly love and honesty, he just replied "yikes" and never elaborated further. Not really a respectful or Christlike way to treat a longtime ministry volunteer and co-laborer in Christ.
