Grand Shores West

We had the best sea view!! The front desk was incredibly helpful!! It was great experience.
The parking can be challenging though, but still awesome experience. A lot of good food places you can walk to, and the beach is right there.

Loved this place. I'm a fan of the mom and pop hotels. But the parking is very limited. I mean very. There were times I didn't know if there was a spot available after dinner.
The staff were great though. But because of the parking I don't know if we would return. Such a shams because we loved this place.

Wanted to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday with a little beach getaway. Came across this hotel. From start to finish I had a great experience. This was my first time ever booking a hotel. And my experience was just so quick and easy. Everyone was super friendly. Our room was a studio queen and it was just like the pictures online. The bathroom/tub does need some work though. But other than that my boyfriend had the best vacation and loved the hotel as well.

Great place, Great People, with paddlesurf, swimming pool, and a hobbie cat for guests. Barbecue at the Beach and the best Sunrise. Loved it.

Not a fancy place but all rooms are newly renovated. The bathrooms need some work still but overall it's a really cute nice place and it's just steps away from the beach. Free use of their cabanas is a nice plus. The ocean & beach right there was perfect. Cannot wait to go back!

Mandy at the front desk was the best, very attentive to everything and always made us feel so at home. Very bright smile and will do anything to make sure you enjoy your stay. This young lady deserves a raise. All in all my girlfriend and I had the best time here and would give it way more than 5 stars if we were able to. Will be back sometime for sure and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice affordable beach getaway.

The rooms were not perfect, it has imperfections but its ok with me because the most important thing is They have a very Great Customer service. They were so friendly and Suler accomodating Mandy, mr . Shawn all the cleaning ladies the guys who cleans the place and the pool. They were all so very nice. Our stay is really memorable becaise of them.

My friends and I flew out to Tampa for a bachelorette party in Clearwater. Our flight arrived at 1am and we finally made it to Grand Shores West at around 2am. The night shift front desk guy was very nice and got us quick into a room. We had to check out the same day because the bachelorette party was at an Airbnb nearby. Check in for the Airbnb was at 4p. Denise at Grand Shores West was super accommodating and allowed us to keep our luggage by the front desk so we could enjoy the beach until we had to leave. We checked out at 10am and stayed until 3pm. Denise was amazing!! She was super nice and went above and beyond for our group. It is an older hotel but they have renovated it nicely. Very clean. Very affordable. The best part, it’s right on a private beach. I wish we could’ve stayed there all weekend!! Highly recommend Grand Shores West

Excellent place !! Right when I walked into Grand Shores West I got I knew got I was going to LOVE IT! It has a pool, hot tub, cabanas, kind employees and a library for quiet if needed 😀The rooms are SUPER CLEAN! And have a great view of the gulf! I definitely recommend Grand Shores West.

The staff was nice and helpful. We had a newly renovated room. The furniture was not the highest quality but the price was cheaper than anything else we could find. The air conditioner worked well and we could get the room cool.

The hotel was right on the beach with quick access. The pool was well kept up with a hot tub. There was an area where there were tables and quite a few grills you could use.

It was a good hotel at a good price, would stay here again when in the area.

We stayed recently, for a week, and left knowing we would be back! The staff was helpful and honest. The location was incredible. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit with a balcony (222) and it was very nice, clean, and spacious. We enjoyed a sailboat ride, using the kayaks, pool, hot tub and the cabanas. There was a lovely restaurant and bar just a few minute walk down the beach. I’ve seen mixed reviews, but personally, I cannot wait to book our next beach vacation at Grand Shores West. We had a fantastic experience and would absolutely recommend GSW as well as stay again.

The hotel itself is a little run down, but the rooms have been remodeled and are beautiful! The beach and pool are great. The staff is amazing! They all were so friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this place. I just wish I could have had a longer stay. The only complaints I have is there is only one mirror on rooms and no beach towels. But I would definitely stay here again.

First off we had a mix up with my hotel package I purchased on Priceline.com and the staff was amazing and understanding. Sean I think was the General Manager and was amazing and helped me through the whole ordeal. I stayed with my 3 teenage girls and we were right on the beach. This location is absolutely breathtaking. The cleaning staff was so accommodating getting us new towels and wash clothes throughout our stay. The outdoor heated pool and hot tub my girls loved. The canopy chairs at the beach were included in the hotel. Which was super nice to Use. Thank you all for our wonderful stay. We would definitely stay again.

My mom daughter and I stayed 1 night in an updated first floor. We will be coming back for years come! Thankfully they do parking passes, because it is limited parking. They had WiFi, huge tv, full kitchen- including a sink, stove, microwave, full refrigerator, and dish washer! Very comfortable and clean bed, pillows, and blanket! The room has a couch, and a table with two chairs to eat at! The bathroom had a big tub with great water pressure and heat! The ac worked perfect, and there was a nice ceiling fan! The pool was clean, and there was a huge hot tub with a timer for bubbles! We loved the cabanas just feet from the beach! We ate at the Dunkin’ Donuts and Burrito Social which are directly across the street! Highly recommend, and so happy with everything! We came for my daughters 5th birthday, and we will cherish our memories into eternity! Thank you to all the friendly staff who made our stay perfect!

We always enjoy our time at Grand Shores! We connect with family every year and it makes for a perfect get away! The pool is warm and relaxing. There is a hot tub but we didn't use it. The beach is perfect with all the glorious colors you can imagine for an ocean beach to have. Sunsets are spectacular too!! 🌞

The staff here are so attentive and kind. They bend over backwards to help when asked. The photos of our room were when we were leaving (sorry for the mess!) but everything is comfortable, although a bit rustic. The management is in the process of remodeling all units though and a pic of what it'll look like is included too. The units will be really wonderful when complete. Even though construction was happening, it didn't ever bother our sleep or beach play time. The site offers FREE cushions for the beach loungers, FREE kayaks, and FREE rides on a catamaran too. The water is calm for floating and we saw dolphins when kayaking too! We even saw some little (~2 ft?) sting rays feeding at the shore line around 11 am one day - so exciting! (see pic) The sand feels like silk and is one of my favorite features here. 🤩

We definitely recommend this place! It's affordable, has a full size fridge, mini 4 burner stove, mini oven, regular microwave, toaster, etc. Bathroom has a regular tub shower which is perfect for a family with littles. Our girls slept in their sleeping bags on the pull out couch and were comfortable. Queen size bed in the other room that was separated by pull doors that hide away. Parking is in front, around back, and across the street with easy pedestrian walkways. The facility also offers bell hop carts (with wheels) to load/unload your car - so handy!

Newly renovated room with small kitchen, well cared for property. Quiet, respectable atmosphere. Grills available outside ( we didnt use them) Cushioned cabana chairs near the beach, recliners near the pool. Sailing rides available, kayaks available. Highly recommended, we'd definitely return.

Room was very clean and beach access is very convenient. Staff is very professional and friendly and they really make you feel welcome. The beds are so comfortable it feels like you're sleeping on a cloud

Rooms need a little TLC (seems to be a current theme on these reviews) but you cant find a better value! We walked out the door and right onto the beach. Had 4 grills but only 2 were working, had a small wait a couple days to get dinner on them. Overall a great place to stay!

(Update) came back 2 years after first visit and many renovations have been completed. Cant say enough good things about this place and we WILL be back!

Beautiful beach location and sunsets. We enjoyed the cabanas, pool, and grills. The buildings are being renovated, but this did not inconvenience us at all. The updates to the rooms and building look great! The staff was very nice and helpful.

We stayed a week in a small efficiency. It was perfect for two. They do have a small sofa bed but not comfortable at ALL! The stove is very small so please dont go thinking you will cook a huge meal. They have grills that are very handy. The pool was great, beach access is perfect. The staff was welcoming, except one old man...dont know name..just not a warm person...
The tenets that are there seem to have been coming for yrs like 10 plus..very family atmosphere. Make sure if you have a handicap you check your room location...the place could definitely use an upgrade in the worst way..but this maybe how they keep the cost down. We will return.
