West Chatham YMCA

I was invited to the YMCA by a member while at the Savannah Cultural Festival. This amazing woman and her husband are active in their community and wonderful to speak with. I was impressed of their involvement and their fitness level. I was invited to participate in an event to present my integrative nutrition business Gurtsyllc.

I frequent 1-3 locations depending on my schedule but busy with 2 GSD’s which require outdoor walks sometimes twice a day. The front desk is always very pleasant and helpful at each location saying hello to all who come and go and answer any questions. The members are always focused on their workout and some have time to speak just a moment which makes it a friendly place. I haven’t attended many other events but I have been invited.

The facilities at Pooler look new or the renovation and lobby looks beautiful. The egym equipment is state of the art and I have gotten recommendations about its potential results from a gym owner at the holistic chamber in Bluffton/HH. The gym seems to have a great business at all locations but never wait or wait more than a couple of minutes on equipment.

Overall I give the YMCA’s I frequent an 5 star. Everyone is pleasant and seemingly appreciates their community gym. Happy to be a part of the YMCA.Thank you!

Played the disc golf course on the property of the YMCA . Nice course, a bit in need of tee box signs but one you play through once you can know the lay of the course. For hole 12 you need to walk across the street and towards the YMCA building to the left. Enjoy.

The staff is amazing! They always know how to put a smile on your face! The equipment is new and clean and the gym has a very positive vibe!

Loved it. Today was my first time. Staff was super helpful and polite and they were busy. Looks like there is tons of equipment. The gym was very clean.

The " New YMCA" as I call it has been renovated and it's really, really nice. Hats off to the personal trainer Dion and that pleasant lady at the front desk on Friday and Saturday mornings, Ms.Pratrice. As a matter of fact everyone is so very helpful and the place is absolutely amazing.

I come here specifically for the gym and weightlifting experience 5-6 times a week. The equipment is always clean and working properly and there is also a great variety. The staff is also friendly. The monthly payment is a little bit expensive for someone only using the gym, but it is good in comparison to other places in the area. The only poor thing I have to say about this place is about some of the other members. On multiple occasions I have seen them be rude to staff and being impatient in the gym.

Love this place. Amazing staff, Zumba, dance, yoga, and fitness classes for the wife. New cardio machines. After 2 months still figuring out all the lifting machines. Always clean and in good working order. So glad we signed up.

Reading the reviews-I wonder if some people have actually utilized what they paid for. Prior to covid-the classes were great, great variety of equipment, clean, sauna is great...the list goes on! But this review is more based on my experience since covid because I know gyms get a bad name during these times.

I have been a member for a while now. At the start of COVID-the YMCA allowed me to do a temporary freeze while closed. When it reopened-of course I was hesitate to go back but wanted to see how the protocols were in place, etc. I have been going now since mid-May and have been so impressed! They take my temperature and go over things before I walk in. The floors are are marked. Social distancing is in place for cardio equipment. Cleaning procedures are being done. Thank you so much guys! I wipe down equipment as well but the staff goes behind and cleans every time...especially the older more experienced staff! Again thank you for all your hard work! Highly recommend the West Chatham YMCA!

What an amazing place! It is kept spotless during these Covid times. A lot of exercise classes. Trainers available. Mine is Miss Lisa. Beautiful pool. Day care area is stunning and after day care. A ten star!🥰😍

Great facility, great staff, great fitness instructors. You can tell the building, people and purpose of this organization is love and helping others on their life journey.

The women r so sweet and encouraging here they give the best resources and provide everything that u want to know very friendly and clean

Went to watch my grandson at swim lessons. They were very very attentive. The rest room and dressing area were very clean as well.
