Thrifty Car Rental - Savannah - Hilton Head International Airport

We arrived on Christmas Day. Felt bad that the employee had to work Christmas Day. Not sure what to expect. Very pleasantly surprised. She was very friendly and efficient. We were checked in quickly and got great directions to where the vehicle would be parked. The service was amazing. The vehicle was in great condition. Kudos to the employee for being so friendly and warm at a time she could have been Scrooge. Great experience overall and would use thrifty again.

The greeting I received from two very bored and unfriendly agents with no name badges upon arriving at the rental counter in Savannah on Feb 21, 2024 was: "We don't have any cars". Hmm, my response, "I have a reservation". Upon examining my confirmation, they agreed that I had booked the Manager's daily special and that day it was a truck. I don't drive a truck and didn't want a truck and asked again for a car. A conspiratorial look passed between the two agents and they repeated their first statement. Basically take it or leave it. By now, a line was forming. Again, I repeated my request for a car, not a truck and again, told no cars, unless I wanted to pay an upgrade fee of 25.00 per day and I would be given a Dodge Challenger. At that point, I had no choice, and certainly didn't want to waste any more time so I agreed, signed the paperwork and left. I am a senior and was travelling solo in a strange town. I felt I was completely scammed and totally disrespected by these two. Not only was their attitude one of total and complete indifference, but they showed no interest whatsoever in making any concessions. BTW, I would normally have requested to speak with a manager, but a third person, who was sitting with her feet up on the counter eyes glued to her phone probably WAS the manager. I am going to dispute the additional charges with my credit card company. I can't even begin to imagine what they pulled on the next customers in line. Never again Thrifty.

Great experience with Thrifty! Easy reservation process. Friendly, efficient customer service. Vehicle was brand new. Return was quick. Final statement sent to email was correct with no additional changes. Will use Thrifty again!

Very quick and smooth process getting and returning the car. I wasn't thrilled that I had to take pictures and email them of any damage to the car. I prefer the attendant to walk out and help me with this process. Other than that I was happy.

Car reservation confirmed on line but still had to wait in line at airport. I selected the 'Wild card" to save money but turned out to be a RAM gas guzzling truck. Should have selected an Economy class car for just few bucks more online. At the counter, it cost more than double to switch to Economy. Overall, the counter service was excellent - agent was proficient, professional, easy to understand. Pick up was simple and right outside the terminal the airport in Savannah. Return just as simple. Lesson - don't go for the Wild Card option - will likely be something no one else wants to rent!

Thrifty is by far one of the best car rentals places I've ever rented from. They are very professional and fast. Everything checked out as expected and was in order. There were no mix-ups or misunderstanding. Very good company.

Absolutely awesome, very friendly and professional counter person/customer service. Superfast in and out within minutes great vehicle, exit and return. Will absolutely recommend thrifty to anyone traveling in this airport. Thank you, you guys were flawless.

I received a very nice car and enjoyed driving it. I had no issues and all the employees were nice and helpful in Savannah.

The Employee was very friendly, quick to process my rental and a sunny disposition!! Nice to receive such great Customer Service!! The car I rented was very clean inside but the outside was not. There was also a strange, unusual and cringe-worthy smell inside the car. I had to ride with the windows down on a chilly day to be able to stand the disgusting smell!! When returning I told the Employee about the bad smell, she got in the car and agreed that it was "terrible". The Owner addressed my review PARTIALLY!! No mention of the awful smell or any concern for my problem!! They obviously don't read the reviews and I will NEVER use them again for the disregard of my uncomfortable, irritating and cold day rental!; I take it back... . TERRIBLE Customer Service from the Owner!!;

Great experience… nice brand new vehicle too! I will definitely rent from them again and I would recommend my friends and family to rent from Thrifty car rental at the Savannah airport location.Reggie assist me and was very professional in doing so. The only issue I had was not being able to reach anyone by phone when I needed to extend my rental… new phone number by web has not been updated and I had to drive all the way to the airport to extend my rental time. Other then that everything was A+

I can not express enough the service I received at Thrifty. I accidently put my wallet down in the trunk of the car. The staff on duty quickly went into action. They tracked the car, found my wallet , returned it to me and I even made an earlier flight. Good service is hard to get these days, but the staff on duty at 2:00pm in the rental return on 10/6/2023 at the Savannah Airport was nothing short than awesome. My car was nice and clean. The staff was extremely polite, understanding and efficient. Kudos and I will use Thrifty again.

This is my second time using thrifty and I have to say they are affordable and have great customer service. The whole process from start to finish was great!! If anything is wrong with the car they wanted u to document and tell them right away before you drive off the lot. The car was a little dirty, we sanitized it before we went to our destination. We did receive a full tank of gas too!! They also have the latest cars!! This year I had a 2021 Jeep Cherokee trailhawk edition and it was amazing!!! I like thrifty and recommended to try it out as well.

The renting process was quick and easy. The vehicle was excellent, brand new with all the bells and whistles. No hassles at all picking the van up or dropping it off. Great job!

Thrifty saved the day! We had booked with a car with Budget. Only to find they had none available and basically shut down the desk for the night. Walked next door to Thrifty who got me a great car for less money and quickly than had booked. Savannah Thrifty Rocks!

Thrifty was a pleasure to rent a car from. We arrived about 20 minutes early and the car was ready and waiting for us- no delay. All employees that we dealt with when receiving, and again when returning the car, were very friendly. The entire process was smooth and pricing was great!

My Savannah, GA airport car rental was smooth and problem-free. However, customers were not made aware of the requirement to show proof of auto insurance until they reached the rental counter. It wasn't a problem for me, but it was a problem for others, and it created some delays. I think customers should be informed of this requirement at the time of booking - in conspicuous, BOLD LETTERS.

Great experience - new Nissan under 3K miles - staff was courteous - smooth transaction - picked up car right outside our baggage carousel - good value - would rent with again.

Needed a rental car last-minute because our vehicle broke down. They were able to accommodate us without issue, and really saved us a major headache. The customer service reps were kind and helpful. Good experience all around!
