I honestly can't believe how amazing these guys are!! They went waaaay above and beyond helping me with my warranty and the dealership I bought my car from to get my transmission replaced with a high quality part. They're friendly, easy to work with, trustworthy, and really care about their customers. They advocated for me in a situation I'm unfamiliar with and earned a customer for life!!!

These guys provided an exceptional customer experience. From the first phone call to the pickup of our car - they kept us informed the entire time. They went to bat for us when it came to warranty issues and helped get things resolved with minimal out of pocket expense. This was our first time coming here and I’m definitely a customer for life now. Thanks for taking care of us and getting our car back on the road quickly! He even had me test drive the car with him when we picked it up so he could show me what was done and ensure it all drove normal again. These guys are as good as it gets

Couldn't find the problem with my x-terra tried everything. Took it to evolution and they found the issue in 1/2 a day, Found the injector driver was shorted internally in the pcm and not allowing the injector to fire. Replaced the pcm and has been great ever since.

I have taken a couple different cars in to this place for fixes and every time it has been resolved significantly faster and with better quality than previous locations I’ve been to. I know getting your car fixed can be extremely frustrating, but this place has done really well at being transparent, affordable, and reliable. I’ve recommended this place to several friends and they have thoroughly appreciated the service.

TLDR: Evolution Customs failed to comply with Utah law and banned me from returning after I pointed out their failure to comply, claiming they were "too busy" to perform the actions REQUIRED by law.

I started using Evolution Customs on a recommendation after some negative experiences with the dealership, and this is the second time that I've used them for the regular maintenance (lube, oil, filter). To say I am disappointed is a severe understatement; this experience was horrifying.
I brought my vehicle in yesterday (12/9/21) for an appointment that I had scheduled a few weeks ago, and requested "general maintenance", specifically "lube, oil, filter". At the time of drop-off they collected my name and phone number. This morning I received a call while I was at work stating that my vehicle was ready for pickup, as well as briefly mentioning the repairs made: replacement of all 4 spark plugs (which were just replaced in 2019, about 10,000 miles ago), oil change, and replacement of the serpentine belt. Of the three services rendered, I had only authorized one of them! The bill total was a little more than $250, which was far more than I had been anticipating as the normal maintenance does NOT cost anywhere near that much. I have never before had maintenance done that did not get my "go ahead" before making the repairs, so I was quite upset and started to do some digging.
Per Utah Administrative Code Section R152-11-5 any consumer transaction involving repairs or similar services needs to have expected services clearly explained by the service provider along with an estimated cost and completion date. THIS WAS NOT DONE. I received NO estimated completion date, and the only reason I had a rough estimate of how much the maintenance I had requested was because I had gone to them the year before for the same services.
The above-mentioned code also requires that the service provider "obtain the consumer's express authorization for additional, unforeseen, but necessary, repairs, inspections, or other services amount to ten percent or more... of the original estimate." THIS WAS NOT DONE. Having been given no estimate, it is impossible to calculate the 10% of the original estimate. However, I was NEVER notified that my spark plugs needed replacing (and I am skeptical that they needed to be, as the manufacturer recommendation is 30,000 miles, NOT 10,000) or that my serpentine belt needed replacing. THE FIRST I FOUND OUT ABOUT THESE NEEDED REPAIRS WAS WHEN THEY NOTIFIED ME THAT MY VEHICLE WAS READY FOR PICKUP!
Charging for services that have not received authorization is also against the above-mentioned code, which means that the replacement of the spark plugs and the serpentine belt should not have been charged to me as I did not authorize those repairs.
When I brought these issues to the attention of the woman in the office - especially the fact that these are issues of failing to comply with STATE LAW - the response was hostile. There was no acknowledgement of their failing to follow the above-mentioned code; clearly annoyed, she told me she would strike the spark plugs off of my bill and to "not come back here". When I again raised the issue of the legality of the situation and reminded that the serpentine belt was also part of the issue, her responses included "we are very busy", "we do things differently", and "we don't have time for that." The absurdity of this argument was astounding; if you don't have time to adhere to state law, you either need to adjust your business practices to MAKE time or cease operating. She claimed that in telling them I wanted maintenance performed on my vehicle that they understood it to be authorization for whatever needed to be done. THIS IS ABSOLUTE NONSENSE.
In the end, they destroyed my bill, then took "my" old serpentine belt and spark plugs and put them back in my vehicle; I put "my" in quotes because I have absolutely no way of knowing that they did not just grab random parts that were not from my vehicle. I will be finding another place to have both parts looked over and likely replaced.
