Small and quaint campground. Sites are close to each other, but I didn't find that a problem. Bath house was clean. Everyone was super nice.
Right across the street from St. Marks. Really enjoyed exploring there.

Awesome, our host Gary was the greatest! Park was clean and comfortable. We originally spoke with Rachel who got us in. Both were so nice and got us taken care of. We've never visited this area of Florida. We stayed busy visited St. Mark's Lighthouse, Wakulla Beach, Shell Point & Alligator Point. Everywhere we went our Pets got to go.

This is a nice little campground, and the people who wind up coming together here are so great!
I really enjoyed my stay here and will certainly be back again.
The bathrooms were kept clean, but were having some plumbing issues on a regular basis, but it sounded like the county was finally going to get it fixed after I left!
The hosts were fantastic, and always quick to help get campers sorted out.
Great access to fishing and the St Marks River and Wildlife Area!
Ouzts Too is a pretty cool bar just across the river too with live music on the weekend. 🤟

A great little campground that is primarily RV but nice for tent campers too. Our group of 4 stayed here on the first night of a 222 mile bikepacking trip. Gary, the camp host, is a great guy! Very courteous and helpful.
Highly recommend!

For a small state-run park it was very nice. Spacious sites which come with a picnic table barbecue grill and a fire pit. Something you don't see that often in Florida. There is a camp host. Prior to coming to the park you'll get a site location. You're close to the road with the traffic dies down in the evening and you won't even. There's a couple of trails that take you down to the water along the beautiful little river. Very relaxing! We have T-Mobile home and it works fine for streaming on the internet as well as our T-Mobile phone and my visible phone from verizon.

This is an RV/tent campground. Has bathrooms and showers very clean no laundry room but there’s a laundry facility down the street very peaceful you do have the road noise better than that very peaceful walking distance to the river 15 miles from Wakulla Springs, where you can see manatees alligators, and the local birds well worth the stay

Right on the side of Route 98 Newport Campground is next to the highway and a public boat ramp. Great spot for boat or kayak trip. Stopped for an overnight. Sign said no vacancy, but there were only 2 rigs parked. We asked the host if he had a spot, as we needed no water or electric, and he said, "Sure, take that one, it has 110". 15$ for overnight was reasonable. Water and electricity were 25$. Bathrooms are clean. Cell service and local channels were accessible. Campground is adjacent to the St. Marks river and sets on the site of an old river town. Two boardwalks lead out to the river for a nice walk and view. Some road noise but quiet at night.

We only stopped for a night but a nice little camp. Not cramped, nice boardwalk to the river with a dock. Easy access to river.
Shower and restrooms.
Traffic noise but turned on heater and air purifier covers that up.
Host was nice to us and helpful.
Very close to the St. Mark's Lighthouse and National Wildlife Refuge---Beautiful!

Nice place. Host was able to find a spot for me on no notice. Very nice and helpful. Plenty of space between each site and a nice central pavilion for grilling and eating. Restrooms and showers good for a campground. Nice walkway down to the river. Patrons were friendly. Traffic noise was above average but not an issue. I will be staying here again.

Been going to NCampground for 40 years. Great camping and access to the river for swimming and boating. You can walk less than a football field to the river. And good food and beer just on the other side of the bridge.

A nice, clean and affordable place with friendly people. It was my husband and my first stay in our camper at a traditional campground and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautiful little walk over the river as well.

Great little old school camp ground and the price is excellent at $22, water and electric. Nothing fancy but quaint. If you like the feel of camping, then this is a great spot. If you need concrete pads, wifi and want to pay a premium, then go elsewhere. Easy in and out and the host is very friendly. Very quiet and just off the road. I read they will close in April for renovations. I hope this doesn't mean higher prices.

We really enjoyed this campground and the people we met there. Manager Solomon, aka “the new Sheriff in town,” was super friendly and helpful. He took over management here recently and has cleaned the place up. We look forward to visiting next winter to see how his plans pan out to continue making this a fantastic spot to spend a night or 30. The bathrooms are clean and nice, with plenty of hot water. Sites are very affordable compared to many other places we’ve been in Florida. There is a decent laundromat a couple miles away in St Marks, as well as a handful of restaurants. Down another road is St Marks Lighthouse, which we enjoyed seeing, but the gem of it all was the tiny white sand beach gently weaving its way along the shoreline behind the lighthouse. It was Heaven to take a little walk and wade and some great pics. Thanks, Solomon! Hope to see you again soon! 💙 Mark & Renge’

Was in town for a project at the generating station in St. Marks and found this hidden gem. The camp host Solomon was very accommodating and made my stay delightful. Newport campground is a standard campground with a boat ramp and access to a dock. I believe there are future plans for renovations over the next few months. If you like nature, this place is great, and the folks that pass through are very friendly. Hope I can return soon.

Nice quiet campground at entrance to nearby St. Marks nature preserve. We used primitive site at only $17/night.

Cozy little campground for very reasonable fee. I stayed in my hammock and had to pull my quilt out thanks to the cold current from the river behind the campground. The grounds are clean and well maintained with a dock stretching through the marsh to a view of the river.

Showers are available on site and the facilities are well maintained. Would definitely stay here again.

You could plan a whole week's vacation centered around this spot. Super location, excellently and expertly run by live-on-site hosts. There are a mix of long-term and short-term residents and everyone is incredibly helpful. There was always someone there to help us hitch up or back up our rig as we were renting it and not that comfortable with its size. You can put in a kayak or canoe right from the property, bike or take a quick drive to the St. Mark's National Wildlife Refuge (fantastic birding and walking in November), ride the Historic Tallahassee-St. Mark's rail trail, eat oysters and mullet at Outz's right across the river, or take a quick drive up to Tallahassee for museums or other "city" fun. Lots of trees, sites are shady, comfortable and not too close together. Campers are very quiet, no loud music or disruptions at all. Had one of the most relaxing vacations ever here. Reserve early, it's hard to get a spot here and for good reason. Lots of bugs? Yes, it's wild Florida and right near a river. Lots of bugs therefore lots of birds and other wildlife. "Off" mostly keeps them off. If you bring a dog along, get some fly spray for him too. I can't wait to go back.
