We found a diamond in the rough! Melissa was very inviting when we showed up after a long day on the motorcycle. The room was very nice with a king bed. Super quiet and in a nice location. The shower was amazing!! We would recommend this place to anyone traveling in the area! Thank you for the great experience. It was far superior to the Days Inn the night before and was cheaper!

We had a wonderful time at the sweet magnolia Inn. The owners are very hospitable and cyclist friendly. The inn is within walking distance to the st marks trail
The rooms are spacious, clean and refreshing. The owners are just a text away if you need help. The town is peaceful and the residents are very kind. We will definitely be back.

Loved the location. The St Marks rail trail is just across the street. Cooter Stew's has the best food and night time bands at the Riverside which also has a Tiki hut on the river. We stayed the the Mermaid room which was spotless. Amber does a great job with attention to details. We toured around while there. Went to Tallahassee for Bohn Thai and Ology brewing. Also went to the light house nearby and longer trip to Apalachcola where we had lunch at the Owl and beer at Oyster City Brewing across the street.

The sweet magnolia inn has absolutely beautiful rooms, each with a different theme. The garden tubs are perfect for a luxurious bubble bath.there is an enchanting garden out back. I 100% recommend visiting and staying a while for anyone for any reason. Whether it be for a relaxing get away or honeymoon or even just to stay a night and have some alone time.and the breakfast is to die for ❤plus the owners of the sweet magnolia are amazing people and can inform you of anything you would like to do in the city of saint marks, from where to dine to we're to sight see or even where to fish. There is a wide variety of things to do in the area or you can even just ride one of their bikes around town and explore on your own. But I highly recommend a visit to the Sweet Magnolia Inn!!

Melissa and John were exceptional hosts!! From the home cooked breakfasts to the nicely decorated large bedrooms every detail was well thought and planned. We enjoyed getting to know them. For any couple who wants to get away from your typical hotel stay this place is for you. Only 30min from FSU. Marina for boat rentals and the famous Railroad bike trail all within walking distance. We hope to be back next year!

I must say, my husband and I were a little skeptical about staying at a bed and breakfast as we never have before. But let me just say that in this quaint little town, John and Melissa are the epitome of some southern hospitality, and we know hospitality as we are from south Alabama ourselves. I am so happy that I booked this trip! My husband and I got in super late Friday night and Melissa was super accommodating in making sure we had no issues getting into our room. The breakfast in the mornings is delicious and the owners make sure you are well taken care of. John provided great information about what to do in this tiny town of St. Marks. A MUST to eat at is , Riverside Cafe! We were throughly surprised at how great the food was and the atmosphere. We kayaked on Saturday at TNT hideaway but keep in mind, if you aren’t used to kayaking, do not kayak the full 6.6 miles round trip. I was miserable all Saturday night! The informational notebook inside the room suggested the lighthouse. Though we skipped on the tour, we wanted to at least see it. Keep in mind, it’s a good 30 minute drive but worth it for the beautiful scenery through the state park. The state park states there is an entrance fee, but nobody was at the gates when we got there. So be prepared if you plan on going. Other than that, we fully enjoyed our trip! Thanks John and Melissa. We will be back one day!❤

Beautiful room, deep and wide tubs with massage jets, comfy beds, easy one block walk to town and adjacent to the general store, a small selection of juice drinks available at all hours of the day and night, cookies set out overnight, cheese plates in the room, and delicious, varied breakfasts. Free wifi.

Cannot recommend this location highly enough.

The attention to detail at this gorgeous and comfy B+B made it feel like I was staying with family. If you're snacky when you arrive, there will be treat available! Make sure to check out the beautiful garden area, and then take the short walk up to the river.

It was a quiet and peaceful time we had visiting with you and John.
Glad you caught that baby alligator John! (We are in Florida).
We have been telling everyone we meet about Sweet Magnolia Inn.
The screened porch reminded us of our childhood days (no worries, no concerns, just fresh air and the sound of the wind blowing thru a neighbor’ wind chime. We spend time watching and naming the sounds of the birds, squirrels, frogs, crickets. The massage chair were a plus! our favorite place to relax and get away is what Sweet Magnolia Inn did for us.
Oh and I want to mention the decor. It felt like home with family.
Thank you Melissa and John

Oh my goodness, what can I say! This Gem is absolutely beautiful. Very secluded from everyday life and is exactly what David and I both absolutely needed. Both John and Melissa are the most humbled and down to earth people we have ever met in our many adventures. We stayed in the Garden suite and it was absolutely perfect, If I could give more stars to this Gem I would! We will definitely be back for sure!! The breakfast was amazing and while we missed the BBQ I’ve heard from the locals that it is awesome! Thank you for the Hospitality John and Melissa! -David & Doven Bailey

We love this place and this amazing little town. We stumbled upon this comfy, cozy beautiful home years ago and made plans to visit again. Our recent visit was such a pleasure. We are so delighted that although the owners have changed the hospitality continues to exceed our expectations. Denise & Andy are delightful hosts and could not be more welcoming. Their home is so relaxing. The house is very clean. Breakfast was delicious every morning. This Bed & Breakfast is the perfect home away from home. We cannot wait to visit again. Thank You Both so Very Much for making our stay so incredibly wonderful! See You Again Soon! Michele & Fabian

This place was awesome. We stopped in while hiking the florida trail. Jacuzzi was awesome and they have a massage chair. Lounge upstairs with a pool table. Super nice owners who are more then accommodating. Definitely worth the stop. We did the room only so can't comment on the food.

Had a wonderful time. The room was very comfortable and the new owners made us a delicious breakfast. I am sure they will be very successful. Be sure to contact them directly to make your reservation. I am looking forward to visiting them during the stone crab festival. There is so much to do and see in the area. Went to cuders for lunch and it was really good food at ridiculously low prices. My husband and I would love to go back.

This is our third visit, but first time with the new owners John and Melissa! They are fantastic and the rooms, entire large bed and breakfast and St. Marks in general - is as always a gorgeous inviting atmosphere!

Free Wi-Fi, delicious breakfast, stunning views, walking distance or a short golf cart drive to the local restaurants and water front as well as directly across from a fantastic local nature and bike trail. You have a little bit of everything here plus my husband loved the mattress so much he wants to get one lol

We had a wonderful time at the Sweet Magnolia Inn with Denise and Andy. The food was absolutely amazing! Everything tasted great but the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict was by far one of the best breakfasts I have ever eaten in my life. We are on a bike tour and we stayed there two days to celebrate our anniversary. We could not of made a better choice. If you like jazz, try to get there on Sunday to listen to Andy play.

The Sweet Magnolia is perfect. We had a great weekend in St Marks. The room was beautiful, breakfast was great, the inn is very comfortable, the hosts could not be more gracious. There are a couple of decent restaurants within an easy walk. Many an easy drive. We were in St Marks to bicycle. The trails are excellent. I highly recommend!
