Our names are Maite Arrocha-Alcock and Joseph Alcock. I am pleased to say that the whole experience with Sales Agent Cedas at Capshaw Homes was beyond excellence. The communication line was always open. In person or on the phone; she always responded. Cedas always kindly answered all of our questions. Cedas asked use question to have use get a clear answer about our home. She gave large amounts of care and concern about her job and position. Nothing stopped Cedas to push the detail and rechecking to the maximum. An Example would be the material given to use by Cedas was always on time. She kept her scheduled appointments with use. Cedas is still willing to answer our questions even after the closing of our home. I am very pleased to have Cedas as my Sales Agent at Capshaw Homes.

My first experience with Capshaw Homes I met Mildred B Smith And she was wonderful from start to finish the vibe the feeling and the kindness from her is what made me decide to apply with Capshaw she was there from start to finish whatever questions I had she was there to help and we close on our home March 30 and we love it.

We closed on our home April 2021 and no issues during the process or at closing. Only one problem with the flooring in the dining room that’ll be rectified during the 10 month follow. I’ll update my review at that time.

Buyer Beware: A Disappointing Experience with Capshaw Homes

As a seasoned Real Estate Broker and owner of a Capshaw home, I am compelled to share my deeply unsatisfactory experience with this company. While I had high hopes for the quality and craftsmanship of their homes, my expectations were sorely let down by a multitude of issues that have left me feeling frustrated and regretful.

One of the most glaring problems I encountered with my Capshaw home is the subpar quality of the construction. From the very beginning, it became evident that corners had been cut, resulting in an array of problems. The toilets consistently malfunctioned, the appliances frequently failed, and the plumbing experienced repeated issues. These constant inconveniences have made everyday living in my home a source of frustration and disappointment.

Furthermore, the attention to detail in the finishing touches was severely lacking. The installation of the carpet, for instance, was haphazard at best, with staples protruding from the floor and causing discomfort to anyone walking barefoot. Such oversights are indicative of a lack of care and professionalism on the part of Capshaw Homes.

Perhaps the most egregious breach of trust was the deceptive marketing tactics employed by the company. When I initially purchased my home, I was attracted to the idea of living in a subdivision boasting four-sided brick homes. To my dismay, Capshaw Homes later engaged in a bait-and-switch strategy, constructing homes with brick facades only. This blatant disregard for the promises made during the purchasing process left a bitter taste in my mouth and eroded any remaining confidence I had in the company.

Additionally, the landscaping of our property has been nothing short of a disaster. Capshaw Homes failed to deliver on the promised aesthetic appeal, leaving us with a yard that looks unsightly and poorly maintained. The grass they installed is of such poor quality that it has transformed our once-promising landscape into an eyesore.

In conclusion, my experience with Capshaw Homes has been a disappointment on multiple fronts. From the shoddy construction and lack of attention to detail to the deceptive marketing tactics and subpar landscaping, it is evident that this company falls far short of delivering on its promises. As a Real Estate Broker, I would strongly caution potential buyers to thoroughly research and consider alternative options before committing to a Capshaw home.

where do we start? They left overspray on our windows, used the cheapest quality anything, refused to take any accountability for anything that wasn’t right, at our 10 month walk through we had a soft spot in our floor they said “it’s not bad enough for us to fix” we had a crack in our bathtub they said “that’s not our job” we still have sports they haven’t touched up. The foreman for our community was fired halfway through development because the sun contractors he hired had such poor craftsmanship that it seems like he just got the cheapest labor possible and the cheapest products possible and pocketed the money. You can’t get ahold of them ever, and when you do it’s never their fault. They take no responsibility for the people THEY hire to build your house. This is my second new build. My porch door didn’t close right and at the 10month walk through we asked them to fix it and they said “it’s not the door it’s the new weather stripping” fast forward a year and I’m replacing a door handle because the amount of back pressure on the door caused it to jam shut. These people are the absolute worst and I will make it my mission to let as many people as I can hear about it. My first experience with Lennar Homes was absolutely incredible. This time? Not so much. I wouldn’t recommend Capshaw to ANYONE. Complete trash.

STOP***DO NOT BUY FROM CAPSHAW, look elsewhere. I will be reselling soon. If you want quality work look elsewhere. If you want a company that will be able to assist you as if they were the ones buying the home then this is NOT where you want to be. I took so many pictures of sloppy work but because I already had put down my money and had another property being rented I figured if I point them out they would fix it. The steps the bathrooms, the cheap materials, I pointed out shingles on the roof before my walk through Steve said they would fix them. on my initial walk through Dean told Steve to take care of it as they both saw the issues, I moved in and still nothing has been fixed. I filed a claim with the warranty company and they came back saying I need to go through my insurance company. The roof lippage is all bent and I've pointed them out, they've even admitted that they were supposed to get them fixed but it slipped them and yet 5 months after closing they're telling me it's up to building standards. I'm not the type to leave negative reviews, I try to contact the parties involved to have issues resolved but if they refuse to resolve them then I know it would be more problems for others so a review must be posted. No one needs to be placed in these situations after such a huge purchase. Check the other reviews online and see what other buyers have been dealing with. I will now head over to BBB and file my complaints. Check DR. Horton or other builders and be satisfied.

I was falsely sold property at this location. I paid extra money for a corner lot to find out my lot is cut in half and the owner basically stated that it’s my fault his sales rep falsely sold a suppose to be corner lot but instead a lot that is cut in half. He spoke in a very nasty tone and didn’t even acknowledge his sale rep; Stephanie, error. They are only after a sale. I am very displeased and speaking to legal on the matter.
Run from these builders. As a nurse for almost 20 yrs I have never been treated as if I’m nothing as Kevin did.

I found Capshaw in December and chose to go with them. I gave all money up front and did everything they asked. They kept firing all the on site realtors so you didn’t know who you were working with each time you went to visit the property. I was told that my closing was in June of this year. In March they start having meetings in person and by zoom stating that the original realtor that was on site did not tell the people that were choosing to go with them what was an upgrade or what was a standard choice of the home. I know for a fact that was incorrect because she told me everything that was not standard. They were offering everyone their money back if they were told the wrong info. That was first turn off. Then they sent a email that closing got moved to December of this year instead of June due to lumber shortage. Second turn off. After them having all paperwork and them saying your approved they come back with some BS and say you don’t qualify. How the hell you do people like this 4 to almost 5 months later???? I will never use them or their preferred lender Guild Mortgage. This was a blessing because we found better else where

Calvin Bruce made my experience as a first time homebuyer hell. He messed up the house plan I wanted and here I am closing on a house that is not what I chose in the beginning. He will only get involve in the beginning of the sales process and then he started ignoring my text messages after he messed up everything that I chose and lied to blame his broker Jim who at least tried to help altho the house color is still not what I wanted. I am deeply disappointed by Calvin as he didnt even try to apologize for his mistake or try to at least act on it. If you want to buy from Capshaw go with the other salespeople please AVOID CALVIN!!! For messing up something this huge for me with no remorse, I will just leave it to God and to Karma because dishonest people cant go far.
