We had a fabulous weekend at Lake Oconee KOA . First checking-in was easy and smooth even arriving after hours. The cottage was extremely clean and very well appointed and maintained. The managers Mike and Virginie were incredibly friendly, welcoming and approachable. We loved the fact that the campground organizes activities and had so much fun at Karaoke night! A lot to do and to keep us busy. The view on the lake is stunning especially if you’re an early riser to see the sunrise. The 2 pools are very convenient . We will come back. Thank you Mike and Virginie for making us feel at home!

My last stay was for 10 days. Originally booked for 2 days. I called and Gerry added 6 more days on. When I showed up, I had decided to stay 2 more days, Danielle was happy to add those days on for me. One of the gentleman, who's name i don't know, drove my come down on his golf cart. That was a great help for me, as it's a big cooler.
A storm Saturday flooded my tent so i couldn't make it to karaoke, which is my favorite! Ki sent me a message to remind me of karaoke. I told her what had happened. And she had sympathy for my situation.
Thursday and Friday we had late afternoon storms. Friday, by far being the worst. Having to hold the side of my tent and my daughter holding the front, so it didn't fall in. Ki called me to make sure we were ok and if we needed help. That was so kind of her to look out for us during the storm. When Sunday came and it was time to pack up. I called the front office for help, I couldn't get a tent stake out, stuck in a tree root. Gerry once again helped me out. Sending down Samuel. Not only did he get it out, but he carried our cooler up the hill to our trailer. I love camping here. Everyone is so kind and helpful! My daughter always has a great time doing the kids activists and swimming in the pool. I always look forward to my stays here, it's always a great time. Thank you to all the staff!!!

I went camping and I was smitten. This was the greatest experience I've had in a long time. The staff is super friendly and there are tons of activities. You can choose cabins, bring your own tent or rv. There are 2 pools, a beach and lots of room for peace and quiet. We stayed in a lovely 2 bedroom cabin. I must add that I'm OCD when it comes to cleanliness and they didn't disappoint. The first thing my daughter always checks is the mattresses for bed bugs. Once again, we were not disappointed. Eventually we transitioned to the tent area, just a few steps from the beautiful views of the lake. Fish weren't biting but I have fallen for the camp life. You can put your raft or boat in the water and immerse yourself in a good ole' time.

Great park in a nice location. Lots of different types of sites. Ours was gravel at the top of the hill. Next time we will try for a back in closer to the lake. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Lots of activities that they keep you informed of.

We rented a train cabin. It was super cute. The kids thought staying in something that used to be a part of a train was really cool. There was a nice beach area with corn hole and several chairs available. The pool was very large and clean. Actually everything was very well taken care of. Very good deal for the price.

Great venue; superb pricing; and very friendly staff...
We arrived after dark for a single night stay...
Very inviting after-hours check-in process.
We were greeted and guided to a wonderful site with a superb view of the lake.
We'll plan on going back to grab many more pictures.

A great 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲-𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝 drive to the campground, but so very worth the effort... within two miles or so of I-20...
Great pool; superb clubhouse; and great train car cabins for small groups or big families (grin)...

Stayed at a heavy holiday weekend (Labor Day) when the park was at capacity. The weather turned hotter than we expected and the tent was just unbearably hot. The staff worked some magic to get us into an air conditioned cabin.

They were super friendly and helpful with a boat trailer issue and with anything we needed.

We had a wonderful visit to Lake Oconee/Greensboro KOA. The area was absolutely beautiful! We were able to meet the Manager of the campground, Danielle, and she is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. You can tell how seriously she takes her job by how well the grounds are kept. We also had the pleasure of running into the Activity Director, Kiara, and although there were no scheduled activities during our visit, she did tell us about some amazing upcoming events for later in the season. We are so excited to return to get the full experience. See you soon Lake Oconee!!

We had been on a month-long trip across the States and on our final stretch home when we accidentally booked Greensboro, NC instead of THIS location in Greensboro, Georgia. Whoops.
We have stayed at KOA’s the entire journey and arrived rather late when we discovered we didn’t have a reservation. The night attendant, John, was so incredibly helpful and kind that he ended up making the whole experience positive. He quickly found us a spot, explained what we needed to do to fix the error and even offered to help us get our travel trailer set up. John treated us like we were good friends instead of the weary and confused travelers we were. I can’t think him enough for his warmth and caring. He is definitely an asset to this location. John…If I lived closer, I’d take you out to lunch as a thank you. 😉
As of this morning, everything has been settled and the KOA location in NC has already refunded us without question. Wish we were staying longer. This place is beautiful. We decided since we aren’t that incredibly far away that we will come back. Thanks again for the excellent service!

We can’t say enough about this amazing park!! Breathtaking views, beautiful landscaping and super clean!!! The manager is awesome and will go above and beyond to help. I swear she
worked 24/7 the entire time we were there and she was everywhere through out the park.
Our next stay will be in a caboose!! Thank you KOA!!

Lovely and welcoming place. The park models have ample amenities and are set in great locations to see the lake. Some need attention in areas, but the maintenance and staff are very responsive. Campers are respectful and tidy, keeping the campground by the lake beautiful. The permanent residents make this spot a true gem.

This KOA is very nice. There are a number of sites for RVs right on the lake and if you have a boat, there is a boat slip there as well. You can literally walk out of the RV down to the shore and get in the boat and fish. The camp is large and its good for walking the dogs. The staff at this campground are very friendly and accommodating and the motif of the railroad is really neat. We'll be returning in the future.

Beautiful campground with great views of the lake. The campground staff were very friendly and helpful. We were a late check-in and the night attendant was very helpful with parking. We had tons of room and a deck at our site. We did have to use three leveling blocks on one side of the camper, but the campground is on a hill.

I have stayed at many a KOA’s and I have never been impressed until now. This Koa is located on the Oconee Lake. You can camp with your RV at one of the spots along the lake or take a beautiful spot on one of the hills overlooking the lake. The spots are spacious with full hookups. The grounds are impressively clean. There are rail cars spread throughout the park. Some are cabins and some have been converted to bathhouses and the laundry room, which are kept extremely clean. I am staying three nights and love it. It is very peaceful and relaxing. There is a rail bridge across the lake which is very cool to watch when the trains roll by. The train line is far enough away that you can hear the trains when outside but not so loud it would disturb you or hear them while inside your rig.

There are fire rings and picnic tables at each site.

I slap want to say how amazing and friendly the staff is. They made my stay all the more better. I felt very welcomed.

I highly recommend this KOA. You will love it.

Having a blast. I came down to spend time with my mom. I was hoping for an enjoyable relaxing time catching up and laughing some. I got that and more. There is a stillness out here when you are by the lake. A youthful laughter relaxing at the pool. And plenty of enjoyable small towns to meandering through history whilst burning the calories of a delicious meal made in your kitchen or at a delightful eatery. There are community activities and areas you can go an do activities with your crew. Remember to bring a swim suit... and s'more fixings and you will be relaxing right.

Spent a weekend here with my family and had a great time out on the water in our motor boat. Clean camp sites and great view of sunsets. I love the sound of a train whistle and there was a train track right next to us... Although many may not like the loud noise at night.
