Beautiful nature center. They had an outstanding art exhibit when we were there. Kids crafts were available for nominal fee and my grandson had fun crafting. We hiked one of trails which featured a boardwalk over the wetlands, they are restoring native irises to the wetland and the green leaves were visible. We will definitely be back!

I visited here a few years ago while on vacation in Louisiana. It was so enjoyable walking around and exploring the swampland. I really had a good time and hope to make it back one day.

This is a neat little slice of nature in the city. The boardwalk has some great swampy sights, lots of wildlife, cool trees, etc. I wish we had more time to investigate the nature center. The staff was friendly though. And let us explore a bit even though they were closing.

This was the coolest thing ever!! We had so much fun! We got to see so many thing that we never see… because we live in a different state. We say turtle and snakes! We even got to pet one! But there really was no swamp but we still saw dragons flys and butterflies and spiders that we got to saw!

Happy we checked this place out.
Came across this trail on Google Maps and it ended up being a nice little trip out of the house. I loved seeing signs that the people who work there are out tagging plants and observing animals.

The building had gift shop with some very cute reasonably priced items and another area were you can view a nice selection of live reptiles who seemed happy and active. The staff was also very warm and welcoming.

We went on a school field trip today to this place. I enjoyed every aspect of it and the tour guides Meiko and the lady were very awesome. They explained everything thoroughly and it was great. The live presentations were awesome. Plan to revisit soon.

Great way to spend a summer morning with the kids. Super affordable.. around $5 total for me and my two kids. 2 nice raised trails to walk and a great little air conditioned reptile center. The employees are more than willing to interact with the kids and reptiles when time permits. Shaded places for picnics outside next to parking area.

Such a wonderful little spot in the middle of the city. The trails are great for kids or older folks. Their visitor center is awesome, too, where you can see lots of local animals! I highly recommend.

Nice easy walk. Lots of birds and native plants. Plenty of trails, an outer and inner loop. Probably can walk entire trails in an hour or so. Nice center with snakes and turtles on display. Has a small gift shop of toys, tees and mugs - with reasonable prices. Kids love the gift shop. Good parking lot. The pond at the parking area is loaded with turtles.

Lots of bird variety and great for kids! The trails are around 1/2 a mile long and are well maintained with minimal slopes. The nature center staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, and I had a great nature walk!

Lots of information about the area and near by alike places. There are lots of reptile type creatures inside for you to see. I enjoyed watching the slide show of photos taken there. The trails are short and easy with a beautiful trees and swamps.

Lovely quiet walk through the 'swamp' on a boardwalk -- no gators to be seen that day. The nature center is wonderful with many live, caged snakes and terrariums with turtles, etc. and an education center.

Excellent facility! Well manicured trails but wild enough where you get to see plenty of the wildlife. The nature center is excellent! So many snakes and tortoises and even baby alligators. For $3 entrance fee you can’t beat this place!
Would definitely come again.
