Bartolino's South

The visit followed the internment of a family member at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. The buffet food was fresh and bountiful served by a professional staff. The 35-40 attendees set the upbeat atmosphere, as some haven't seen each other in a few years. Kudos to Bartolino's South

I was surprised how busy it was for a Monday. I have enjoyed many meals at Bartolino's South with family and friends. This meal was special because it was only myself and my husband. He took me to one of my favorite restaurants because I didn't feel like cooking.

Great old fashioned Had the stuffed mushrooms 🍄 - delicious. Very bright and perfectly cooked. The sole with crab was also very good and well prepared. The service was 5 stars until we were the last table in the dining room and ended up waiting around a while for our server to wrap things up. I had to get up and go look for him. It wouldn't stop me from going back - probably just go earlier and NOT take that table in the back corner.

Forgot the drink I ordered but kept me full on water. Food was excellent. Had the Cajun salmon pasta. Not spicy but amazing flavor in the sauce and perfectly cooked on the salmon.
Aunt and I love to order a portion of fried spinach for the appetizer.

The food was very good. The service was excellent. I tried to eat all the food they served me and I couldn't do it. The portions are more than generous. My friend and I enjoyed our lunch. The salad was huge.

OMG I cannot speak more highly of this restaurant. The cocktails are amazing. If you order any of the martinis they are well made and it’s really like a martini and a half. They have a great wine selection and some good champagnes as well!
As for the food, the fried calamari is divine, it is perfectly cooked with delicious breading! The ravioli are so good. Pretty sure they are made in house, and they are in an awesome white cheese sauce! So good!
The night we went they had a veal shank special that was so good, perfectly prepared, it came right off the bone, was tender and amazing. We also had shrimp scampi (so good), chicken risotto- creamy cheesy deliciousness, and we had some Alfredo pasta. Amazing meal!

The server was wonderful, allowed us to course our way through dinner service . He was patient, quick, and had an amazing attitude! I know he had his work cut for himself with our group, and he really made our night(a special occasion) really special!

Friday there was also a musician there on the patio where we were seated, because we were seated very close it was a little loud, but it was also amazing! He was so talented and really added to the amazing night we had! We will be back Bartolino’s!

We stopped by Bartolino’s South on a weeknight; it was one of those unplanned dinners that we tend to do once in a while.
To be frank, we did not expect anything more than a casual meal from this restaurant. However, the unassuming outside look of the restaurant belies the delightful foods and especially the Michelin-worthy service of the staff.
The food at this restaurant was fantastic! The fried calamari was memorable, arguably some of the best that I have had. The main course dishes were spot on. The seafood in our pasta dish was just out of this world! The scallops were so fresh, and the shrimps tasted as if they were swimming in the water a few minutes before our meal. The chicken was very tender and full of flavors. The salad here had a very interesting (nice) flavor that I could not recall tasting at anywhere else.
One thing from this restaurant that we keep talking about is the outstanding level of service of the staff. This is not one of those places where staff disappears on you after bringing out your food. It seems like the staff is ready to tend to your needs at any moment while giving you room for privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed the friendliness of the staff here.
In short, Bartolino’s South is a nice restaurant and we definitely will return.

Chicken spiedini and chicken parm were really good. Always enjoy the salad 🥗 and bread 🍞. Had some good cocktails 🍸(bourbon sidecar, definitely one to try). They even provided our neighbor table a light 💡 for their viewing needs.

We had a fantastic dinner date here with friends. The food was very tasty and flavorful. The portions are big so we had plenty to take home. We will definitely be back to try more of their food!

My favorite place to meet friends for lunch. The service is impeccable. This place makes you feel like you're welcome. The staff is the best. I'll be back as often as possible.

I haven't came here since COVID but they have always had excellent customer service and food. I ordered my usual of blackened salmon on bow tie noodles with cream sauce and a glass of Reisling. It's ways warm and good. Great customer service. The only issue that I had is the table that I was seated at, the white table cloth looked as it should have been changed. I'm about Quality in everything no exceptions. However, I'll still come back.

We showed up early for our reservation. Our table was ready and we were quickly seated. Service was fabulous! And the food was delicious. Definitely 5 stars!

Simply wonderful! cosmopolitan, Resiling, toasted ravioli, escargot, Veal, creme' brulee and cappuccino all worth the money. Mark our waiter was excellent. We arrived earlier than our reservation time but we were seated right away. Our water glasses never went dry, our bus boy was spot on every time. I will add Bartolino's South to my list of restaurants when I am visiting family in St Louis.

I've lived in this city all my life never visited this restaurant I must say it is the best Italian food around. We had the banquet room staff super fast prompt courteous everything was delicious even buffet style. We chose this for a family event and would go back to dine for dinner anytime.

The food the service. The atmosphere is excellent we haven't been there in quite a while. I forgot how great a restaurant this is. I will have to make it my go-to place again

It was the first time I had eaten there and was very impressed with the service and quality of the meal. The receptionist at the optometrist office up the street had recommended Bartolinos. I again went back 3 evenings later because I enjoyed it so much. I am from Poplar Bluff and visiting in the Potosi area and wanted to treat my Aunt with a nice dinner and drove an hour to St Louis to make that happen. I will definitely be back.

Myself and my wife had our date night and I'm here to tell everyone this is definitely our new date night spot the food was FIRE 🔥

The food was awesome! Great service, and huge portions. It is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Well worth it!

Dinner was fantastic! Portions large enough for to-go boxes. My leftover food was as delicious as it was fresh.
