Daughter’s 11th birthday gift from Grandma was a new Bike. A friend recommended we go to Sunset Cyclery. Great move. This is a great bike shop. They were extremely helpful. We ended up ordering a bike due to her being so picky, but they were extremely helpful and got a bike ordered. I highly recommend coming in here if you need a bike or need work done on your bike.

I’ve been a loyal customer for over 25 yrs. i have bought several bikes for road racing and commuting. The repairs have always been fast (2-3 day turnaround), reasonably priced, and spot on. I always recommend Sunset as THE place to go. Recently i took my wife’s all terrain wheelchair in for work. The staff did the needed repairs and selected upgrade parts needed. They went above and beyond what I expected and made the chair better than new.

These guys are great! Super friendly crew. Very welcoming atmosphere. Loads of bikes and gear. Great communication during my visit and the follow-up call to let me know what's going on with the bike.

About the bike: I took it in for a mystery sound in the rear wheel and they got it sorted for me. It ended up being the rear spokes. Only cost $20 to true the wheel, which is insanely cheap. While fixing that, they informed me of a couple other maintenance things I should look out for in the future, which I love because I don't really pay attention to those things - so it's nice to know they have your back. They are not pushy or salesy and you get a feeling that they are just looking out for you.

Happy I gave them a shot. Definitely my new go-to bike shop!

I was very nervous going to a pro bike shop with my Walmart special Schwinn. They made me feel very welcome and weren’t judgmental at all. My seat post got stuck inside of my frame today after I tried to adjust my seat. They spent about 20 minutes working on it and finally got the post to come out. They even tightened up my rear hub that was loose from the factory! I bought a saddle and a water bottle holder and they mounted and adjusted them for me! I’m looking at an e-bike to replace the Schwinn. I’m definitely going to buy from here!

Great selection but even better service. I always get friendly top notch service from Tim, Ed and the rest of the staff. Not only are they great to chat with, they are knowledgeable and give honest advice. I highly recommend them for a new bike or to repair or tune your existing one.

What an excellent experience! While traveling cross-country, we discovered the rear axle was missing from my husband’s bike. We stopped at Sunset and Tim helped us right away, had the part in stock, fixed the problem, and we were on our way in no time. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to assist. Thank you!!!

I had un-racked my bike to begin riding Route 66 to Tulsa and discovered that my front (tubeless) tire was flat. It was a Monday, and a lot of shops were closed. I am so glad that Sunset Cyclery was open. Tim had it fixed within minutes. (Even though I had recently added sealant to both tires, I didn’t add enough.) He also gave me some really helpful advice for the next time I add sealant. I live in Illinois, but I now have a favorite local bike shop in STL.

Hands down one of the best customer experiences I’ve had. I know nothing about bikes except that I love riding and was in the market for a new gravel bike. They were patient with me, explained all the nuances, helped me test ride some, weren’t pushy, and really wanted me to find a bike I loved. And I did! I then came back a week or so later for an accessory and they remembered me. These guys truly love what they’re doing and it shows.

I came in with a issue with my spoke today. As I was going in I was quickly asked what I needed help with. The whole repair was done on front of me and it took less than 30 minutes. Due to how quick it took they only charged me for the replacement spoke and not even labor costs. I then additionally bought some Chamois Butter which brought my bill only to $27. These people are down to earth and talked to me the whole time. I would recommend this place to anyone needing repairs for their bike.

They provided me with great service......very cordial.....couple new tires and a tube...in just a matter of minutes. (btw.....the bike was free....yes free....somebody put it out in the alley as trash and I just happen to be at the right place at the right time. Well worth the investment of new tires. :)

Just bought my 6 year old their first big kid bike. They were patient and very kind! They gave her a water bottle and you would have thought the girl was gifted a golden egg! I will always highly recommend a local bike shop over big box stores, but Sunset Cyclery is especially great! Love the new location near Harbor Freight!

I've come in a couple times for minor (10 minute or less) service and they handled it without even bothering to ask for payment. Really nice folk.

This shop sold me my first decent bike a hybrid. I didn't know much, and I didn't tell them I rode in the sunset hills sprint tri. I was happy with the hybrid (and the once a year free service), but I noticed that people on road bikes were passing me like I was nothing. So, went back to Sunset Cyclery and decided on a Specialized rode bike in 2017. The result was a ten minute improvement in my triathlon time, and I won my age division. The service was incredible on the bike, and has been since. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I've got nothing but positive things to say about these guys.

Great customer service! Helped me with my knee pain problems that I’ve had for years when cycling. Custom fit my bike and helped me find just the right pair of cycling shoes. I’ve never experienced customer service at this level. They spent hours with me to make sure everything was just perfect.
I’m enjoying cycling so much more now that I’m not miserable and in pain AND BONUS- I’ve been able to improve my average speed! I’ll be using Sunset Cyclery for all my cycling needs from now on.

The guys at sunset cycle are great. They have always listened and offered helpful suggestions. Their service department is great and they don’t try to sell you something you don’t need. I brought my bike in for a spring check up before riding season. I hadn’t ridden it for a couple of years. I was concerned about the tires and asked them to check them specifically. They checked everything and made sure the bike was in perfect order. They didn’t try to sell me new tires or anything.

Ed and Tim provided tremendous service. Timely. Courteous. Went above and beyond to educate for someone new to the road biking.

Brought in a bike bought used for a tune up and any needed service to get road ready. Bike was worked on quickly and cost was in line with the other shops I had checked.

Picked up the bike and brought home for a ride and had shifting issue arise. I also hit a pot hole and got a flat tube/tire.

Brought back and they addressed the shifting issue while I waited, as well as above and beyond: they took care of the flat replacement at no charge.

Recommend highly and will be returning.

Sunset Cyclery is a great bike shop. Tim does a wonderful job with bike repairs, especially for electric bikes. It is hard to find knowledgeable people to repair electric bikes, but he has the talent and expertise. He goes to the extra effort to make sure your bike is running properly.

Everyone there was extremely kind, knowledgeable and efficient. I appreciate the quick service and wonderful recommendations.

If I could give these guys 10 stars I would. Everyone there is super friendly, insightful, helpful, knowledgeable, and never try to oversell you. I’ve been getting my bikes serviced here for two years and just bought my wife’s bike here in the spring. They are fast, honest, and have always provided me high-quality work and service at very reasonable prices. I can’t recommend these guys enough, and I intend to keep coming back back as long as their doors are open.
