Heritage Veterinary Hospital

This is the best veterinary hospital I have ever been too with my fur babies. They are all so sweet and kind. They made my dog feel comfortable. They way they talked to her and handled her was amazing. I would give this place a 100 stars if I could.

Heritage is a great animal hospital. The vets are very knowledgeable, and professional. Everyone is super friendly, and they have always worked me in when I have had an emergency. It's a great practice and I will continue to take my dogs there as long as they'll let me. One other great thing about Heritage is their fear free waiting room. You call from the parking lot when you get there and when your room is ready they bring you straight in and back to the exam room. Their are no animals waiting in the lobby and I've only crossed paths with another dog owner in the lobby once. I like that a lot. It's great. I would definitely recommend Dr. Sanford and her staff.

I really love this practice. They’ve been treating my dogs for over 8 yrs. Last week we lost our first pet and the love and compassion shown by Dr Sanford and staff was second to none. It was very sad and hard to say goodbye to our dear dog but felt comfortable doing it in the special room with our Vet in person.
Looking forward to continued usage of their services and facilities with my other doggie. Thank you heritage vet hospital staff for caring so much for our animals.

My partner and I just moved to the area in July and we’ve been using the same groomer back in Nashville for our boy for at least five years, so leaving her back home was really sad for us. His first nail trim and grooming experience was a little traumatic for him so once we found a groomer he loved, it was a bummer to leave. It was important for me to find a Fear Free Certified grooming facility so I’m really glad I found Heritage on their website. Initially when we arrived in St. Louis I made an appointment with another big local groomer and they cancelled on us at the last minute twice, so Ru was WELL past due for a groom and nail trim. I dropped him off in the morning for his appointment with Lydia and everybody in the grooming area was so nice and welcoming. He was ready just a few hours later and picking him up was a breeze. His nails have always been a bit long since we got him, but these were the shortest that anybody has ever managed to get them AND she got both of his rear dewclaws (everybody always misses his secondary dewclaw). The rest of his groom was great too but nails are always what I judge on. He’s now home and tuckered out from playing in the groom room all morning, and we’ll absolutely be getting regular grooming and nail trims at Heritage from now on. This makes me feel really great about the facility and we’ll absolutely be using their veterinary services as well when it’s time. Big shout out to Lydia, he might not have been terribly stressed but I was. Thanks for taking care of my fuzzy friend.

We love Heritage! When we moved back to STL, we came here for Sasha's care. Her doctor (Dr Urday) was very helpful and quick to her care when we found out she has seizures. Not only him, but the entire staff was very accommodating to her condition, answered all of our questions and even gave us extra information. They are the best animal care in the area! 10/10 highly recommend!

I’ve taken my cats here for years and even after moving slightly farther away over the years, I can’t imagine taking them anywhere else. Everyone I’ve met or talked to here are superstars and so nice. I’ve had Dr. Urday take care of my cats consistently and every time, you can really tell how much he cares about animals. You also can’t forget the vet techs! They are all so sweet and so welcoming. I definitely recommend this place, your pets will be in great hands here!

I cannot say enough about this place, and specifically Dr. Urday. I was inclined to try him out as a vet after a close friend shared a positive experience with him providing end-of-life care to her chihuahua. I have a very anxious Siamese with a LOT of personality, and Dr. Urday and his team always try to make the experience as calming and comfortable as possible. Dr. Urday is holistic and will encourage trying behavioral techniques and supplements before throwing prescription meds at your pet. At the same time, he was totally understanding and accepting of the fact that my kitty needed something a little more. Dr. Urday has been managing my cat's meds for a few months now and I hate that I am having to switch vets due to relocating to Chicago. Had I stayed in STL, this is the only vet I would be going to. I recommend this practice and Dr. Urday's team to everyone!

This place was amazing to my cat when he was injured and needed more intervention. The vet took us in, and the team jumped right into the action. The vet assistants were knowledgeable and helpful with the care and medication.

Great staff, timely appointments, always friendly, and my alfur babies are not scared going to the. Vet. Oshi loves it.

We had to make a sad decision to put our 13 y/o cat down this week. The whole thing happened very quickly and I felt guilty when I came in because I thought I should have noticed something was wrong sooner. Dr. Sanford was incredibly compassionate and reassuring that we had not caused this and that sometimes cats hide that something is wrong for a long time. She was transparent about our options and passed no judgment when we decided that attempting to treat his liver disease with a feeding tube would not be feasible or best for him or our family. I cannot say enough about the kindness of both Dr. Sanford and her staff during this whirlwind of a process. I already liked Heritage, but this has just reinforced that we will be coming here for all our pets for as long as possible. Thank you for everything!

Everyone here is fantastic! I am recommending everyone who is looking for a fantastic place to take their pets. I have no complaint everyone here is so loving and really do care about what they do! Winston is always so happy when he comes to visit!

Great care for my very sick dog. She is doing so much better so far. The Vet and staff are excellent. Been taking my dogs there for years.

Have been coming to Heritage for 4+ years and love it! The staff is wonderful and Dr Sanford is absolutely amazing. They are a full service emergency vet as well as groomer on the second level.

My favorite feature is how modern they are with their communication. Calls that go unanswered, immediately get sent a text for you to chat with someone ASAP. Highly recommend!

We had to do the unfortunate thing & let our old pup cross the rainbow bridge & all the staff was extremely kind, professional, patient & understanding. They made the hardest choice we had to make a little bit easier with being transparent with the costs which I found to be very reasonable, explaining everything to us well, as well as being as sweet & gentle to our heartbroken selves and our sweet boy. Glad he could pass on with all of us around him & outside on a beautiful day. I can't be more thankful for how to vet & staff were.

My German Shepherd can be very difficult but Doc Urday handled him like it was nothing.

The doctor and staff were so sensitive and attentive to my dog. It was a very hard decision to have my best friend put to sleep. The doctor said such sweet things to her as she was passing and those words also helped me as well since I was dealing with a broken heart .

We've been bringing our dog to Heritage for over 16 years. Even after we were no longer around the corner from the office, and it would have been more convenient to use someone closer to our new home, we continued to come. As his health deteriorated and the visits were more frequent I was extremely grateful that I remained. There was never a time that I questioned his treatment or their sincerity. As I struggled for over a year with my fur baby's deteriorating condition, they supported me and answered my endless questions with loving care and kindness. In comparing my experience with those of friends in similar circumstances, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that entrusting his care to Heritage was the best decision I ever made.
